I got nurse Baker and grabbed my med bag, and we headed out. “Where are we headed?” She asked. “Factory district.” I answered. “I got a link from the alpha twins, Chiara collapsed.” I tell her. “The factory district? What in goddess’s name are they doing there?” She asked stunned. “I have no idea, but Chi’s collapse has them worried, scared? Enough to link me.” I said. She nodded. It took us about 5 minutes to get to the apartment. I parked and locked the car. We made our way up to Chi’s apartment. I knocked, and Gamma Chad opened the door. “Come in, Doctor, Nurse.” He said and stepped aside to let us in. Chiara was lying on the bed, and one twin was on either side of her. Holding her hand. “So, can you tell me what happened?” I asked. “We may have overwhelmed her.” Caiden said. “May I?” I asked as I got closer to the bed. I knew I needed to ask, and not tell them, Chi is their mate, and you don’t tell an alpha anything when it comes to their mate, unless it’s life-threatening. And right now, I don’t believe it is. Then, as she started to feel the tingles from the twins, she almost started to panic again. “No, Chi, remember, we are going to talk.” I said. Softly to her. And she nodded her head. Then she actually turned to look at the twins. I could see that Thena was there as well. “Caiden, Jayden, what happened that you needed to see and be near Chiara?” I asked them. “We had a confrontation with Mother.” They both say in unison. “When did this happen?” I asked again. “Well, we actually had two, the first one happened during our training session after lunch. Mother wants us to release Rolan.” Jayden said. “And the second one was after dinner, we were going to go see you at the orphanage, and mother stopped us and confronted us again, about calling our grandmother, on the issue of Rolan again, and then she insulted you as our mate.” Caiden followed up on Jayden’s statement. “Chiara, what did you do today?” I asked her. “Umm, I think I might have overdone it a bit today, sorry doctor.” She says somewhat sheepishly. “Ok, but what did you do?” I asked her again. “I rented this place, I went and did some shopping, and bought a bike, the bed, the two side stands, some silverware, and dishes.” She says. “And how did you get everything back here?” I asked. “I made trips back and forth, and then I went and asked Mr. Hill if he would help with my bed.” She says. “So, you were pretty exhausted.” I say. “Yes, I’m sorry, doctor, please don’t be mad at me.” She rushed her words. “Calm down, Chi, I’m not mad, ok.
