Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 75
CAIDEN: in terms of enhancing training was the key to getting him to even think about it.” He sent back. And I nodded. Closed the link and we went to bed.
CHIARA: I am so excited, I am up early, I couldn’t sleep just knowing that I was getting out of here. I was getting to go home. Like the orphanage is really a home, right? But it’s the only home I have known since coming to this pack, so to me it is home. I got dressed in the clothes Iesha had brought to me the night before. I was pacing the room, waiting for the doctor to come in and give me the release papers. I was just a jumbled mess of nerves. My mind was racing about how I was going to make up a month of school. I know they said not to worry about it, but how can I not? It could be the difference between me leaving and me having to stay another semester to make up the classes I missed when I was in my coma. I will have to wait and talk to the Alpha about it all. But these were the things that were running through my brain as I was waiting for the doctor. Breakfast came first, but I was such a jumbled mess of nerves that I could hardly eat anything, but I did get the toast and the orange juice down. And I was back to pacing. It seemed like forever before the doctor came in. I was beginning to think that they had forgotten about me. “Here you go, Chiara.” Doctor Nathan said as he handed me my release papers. “Thank you, Doctor.” I said. And took the papers he offered me. “Do not overtax yourself. I know you want to get back into your normal routine, but you still need to build up your strength.” He told me. “I understand.” I said. “I hope you do, because I would hate to have you back here because of exhaustion.” He said. And I nodded. I had everything packed up in my backpack and headed out. I didn’t look back. I waved to the nursing staff, who had helped and taken care of me as I was leaving. Hayley came up to me as I was heading out. “Thank you, Hayley.” I said to her. “Hey, not a problem, I was happy that I could do something around here to help, and not get myself caught up in whatever my cousin is pulling.” She said. “But now that you are leaving, I might just ask Alpha Derric to send me home. I don’t really want to be here, and with Rolan pushing buttons the way he has, I definitely don’t want any part of that.” She said as we walked together. “I understand, but thank you, nonetheless. And please remember, don’t follow in the Luna’s footsteps, she truly is not a nice person, and with everything that you did do here, besides just helping me, but the others you helped, I think that when you go home, you can continue doing good things for the people and the wolves in your home pack, just by going and volunteering in your clinic as well. And maybe if they don’t have a program, you could start one, to get the teens involved in helping, instead of being bored and gripping, and getting into trouble, it could even spark some of them to want to go into medicine.” I said to her. “You know that could actually work. Thank you.” She says to me. “Welcome, I try.” I say with a shrug and a chuckle. And we were at the orphanage. “This is me.” I said. She nodded and then headed to the Packhouse. And I headed inside to hand in my paperwork to Miss Blair. “I'm back, Miss Blair.” I called out as I entered the building. “Welcome home, Chiara. Your room is waiting for you.” She said. “Am I getting a new roommate?” I enquired. “No, at least not as of now, we haven’t had any new additions to the orphanage.” She said. And I nodded and headed upstairs to my room. It feels good to be home. I went to the foot of the bed, unscrewed the knob, and took out my money. I needed to count it and to see just how much coinage there was, so that I could get it exchanged for paper if there was enough. And to have an up-to-date and accurate count of how much it was. I was surprised, I didn’t realize I had 500 dollars in there. I needed to get some of the 20’s changed out for 100s. Just to keep things lighter in the sock, there wasn’t much coinage, so I don’t have to get that changed out yet. I took out enough to change for 100 and left the rest as it was. And I headed back downstairs and out. I headed over to the pawn shop to get the money changed out. It was the easiest way to do it, and they always had 100s. Once that was done, I headed to the Packhouse to see the Alpha. I am standing here looking at the Packhouse. I am not going to lie; I am nervous and a bit scared to walk it there. But it had to be done, because I needed to get put back on the rotation for kitchen duty, and I needed to know about school. I took a deep breath and walked up the stairs to the front door of the House. In the lobby area, people were milling about. “Excuse me, please, can someone help me?” I asked. “What do you need?” one of the women asked. “I need to speak to the Alpha, it’s rather important.” I said. She just looked at me like I had two heads, but I watched as her eyes glazed over, so I know she was linking someone. A couple of minutes later, Gamma Shannon walked into the area. She went to the person I had spoken with about seeing the Alpha, and she pointed at me. Then, Gamma Shannon was standing in front of me. “Hello Chiara.” She said. I blinked. I wasn’t expecting that she would know my name. “Gamma Shannon.” I said. “What can I do for you?” she asked me. “I really need to speak to the Alpha. They let me out of the clinic, and I need to find out about getting put back on the rotation for kitchen duty and what I will need to do for school.” I said. “Ahh. Well, as far as kitchen duty is concerned, I will talk to the head cook, and as far as school is concerned, you just have to test out. If you pass those tests, then you will be done with school.” She tells me. “Umm?...” “Yes, Chiara? Spit it out.” “Well, umm, when will I be taking those tests? And can I go back to school?” I asked. “If you want to go back to school, you can, and it will be up to you on when you take the tests.
