CHIARA: You will need to let the Alpha and the principal know when you want to take them so they can get them set up for you.” She told me. “Now follow me, and we will see about the kitchen duty.” She said. So, I followed her into the kitchen. She went straight to the cook, and they talked for a couple of minutes. Then she came back to me. “Cook said that you can come twice a week until you are stronger, and we are sure that you will be able to handle things.” She said. “I would like to do Tuesdays and Saturdays, if that works for the cook.” I said to her. She looked at me rather funny. “Are you sure you want Saturdays?” she asked. “Why wouldn’t I? I don’t go out anywhere, so I might as well be on kitchen duty so those who do go out can.” I said. She went and spoke to the cook again, and the cook nodded. “Alright, Chiara, you will be on kitchen duty starting this Saturday, and you will be on cleanup after the twins’ party.” Gamma Shannon told me as we left the kitchen. I nodded. “Thank you, Gamma Shannon.” I said, and I left the Packhouse. With a sigh of relief, I headed back to the orphanage and back up to my room, put my money away, and settle in. 

CASSIE: It was another stupidly crazy day at school. I had random kids coming up to me, I mean, yes, they were from all of my classes, but at random times, and asking me questions about different problems, and could I help them find the answers, or where to look to find the answers. I don’t mind helping, but it was getting crazy, ridiculous, the number of times they kept coming up to me. I was about ready to lose it. I couldn’t wait for lunch, at least I will be able to eat in peace. I hope.

CARRI: The bell rang, signaling the end of the third period, and I realized I forgot my book for fourth period, so I went back to my locker to get it. But when I got there, I ended up having to break up a fight between Trent and I don’t know who, before I could even reach my locker. That also made me late for class and got me into trouble with my teacher. I was not a happy camper because she gave me an hour of detention, all because I did the right thing this time, and not the one fighting. Now it’s not just Zane I’m pissed at, it's Trent too. Jerk. I am going to have to tell the girls at lunch what happened.

IESHA: I kept getting these crazy, random texts in between classes. It was annoying to say the least. They weren’t anything bad, just stupid shit, \[Hi, hope you have a good day. Smiley face.\] stupid crap like that all day, and they were coming from all different random numbers, but I always checked them, and every time I did, I had to stop to dig my phone out of my backpack, and I’d get bumped in to. I knew Chi was getting out today, that’s why I would check to see if it was her, and if she needed anything, I wanted to be there for her, even if it was just to chat her down from spiraling. Goddess, I hope I will be able to have lunch in peace.

VALEN: The energy in the school was off I couldn’t put my finger on it. But something definitely was not right today. I will ask the girls if they notice anything odd or off. I know I don’t like what I’m feeling; it’s keeping me on edge, and that is not good. Maybe it’s because I’m hungry? Who knows, I just know I don’t like what I’m feeling. But if it has anything to do with what went down yesterday, I am going to skin Rolan, and yes, I mean that in the literal sense. I’m not above getting my hands dirty, obviously. But this time it will be directed at someone who deserves it. I met up with the girls at lunch. “Hey, does anything feel off to any of you?” I asked when we were all together. “No.” Brandi said. “Not unless you count classmates coming up to me and asking all kinds of stupid questions about assignments.” Cas said. “I have detention.” Car exclaimed as she joined us. “What? How?” We all asked in unison. We went and got our lunch and came back to the table. “I forgot my book for fourth hour. When I went to get it from my locker, Trent and some other kid were fighting in front of it, so I had to break them up before I could get to my locker to get my book, which made me late for class, blah, blah, blah. You get the picture.” “Didn’t you tell her what happened?” Brandi asked. “Yes, but Mrs. Hearts doesn’t accept excuses.” Car answered. “I can’t stand that old bitty.” Car said. We all shook our heads at her. “I wonder if Iesha is having an off day?” Brandi said. “That would coincide with everything else. Every time Mitch and his crew have any interaction with Rolan, he has been behind something to do with her.
