CAIDEN: “Where are they?” I asked Jay when his eyes cleared. “Doing their homework, according to Valen.” He says. “ Ok, but where? You know that they want to warn Mother.” I said. “I know, and if they do, that’s on them. The girls will have to answer for it if they do.” He answers me. I link Father. “When do we report for the cells?” “Tomorrow night.” “Yes, but what time, right after dinner? After the last shift?” “Ah, ok, I understand, it will be after the last shift, that way you all start your time in the cells together.” “Thank you, Father.” “Welcome, Caiden.” I closed the link. “We will start our time in the cells tomorrow night after the last vigil shift is over.” I told the guys.

VALEN: “The twins want to make sure that we leave Iesha alone if she shows up during our vigils.” I tell the girls. “What do they think we’re stupid or something?’ Brandi asked. “Who knows with them.” Cassie stated. We all just chuckled and went back to doing our homework. We stayed at the front gate till around 10:30, and the Luna still wasn’t home. Guess she won’t be home tonight. Or at least not early enough for us to tell her. We all headed home and to bed.

BRANDON: I woke up in the clinic with a killer of a headache, and my ribs were wrapped; it hurt to breathe, but hey, at least I was alive. I couldn’t say the same for the girl who was there. I didn’t know who she was. I didn’t get a chance to find out. I have no clue what day it is or if it is day or night, or how long I’ve been out. I know the girls were brutal to her. Not that the guys weren’t to me, but I could handle it better. I don’t know if she could or not, but I don’t see her anywhere near where I am. I guess I can count myself lucky they didn’t kill me like they did that kid from two years ago. I know the mistake I made, and I won’t be making it again, that’s for sure. And I will endeavor not to draw the attention of the Luna again, either! And I will do my best to warn the rest of the guys in the orphanage about the shirt, too. Just wish I had caught on sooner.

LOUISE: Sunday night, and I finally got my sister’s head on straight. Thank the goddess. I am finally heading home tomorrow morning. I should get back to the pack just before lunch. I will have my little brother, well, half-brother, and his female cousin from his dad’s side coming home with me. Seems she is just as bad as my sister when it comes to going off the deep end about the male gender. ‘Mother volunteered’ me to help with settling her down, and her parents agreed. But she wanted Rolan to come with, I can understand, you want someone you know going with you into a strange place. I said that I would bring them back with me for a few weeks. Rolan can train with the twins as they are a year apart in age. I hope that Valen, Brandi, and the girls can be a stabilizing influence on his cousin Hayley, who is the same age as the boys. I want to get back; I want to know how things went over the weekend. And did the said targets learn their place?

IEASHA: I woke up early. I didn’t have the time to go see Chi before school, but I needed to turn her homework in to her teachers and let them know that she was in the clinic in a coma, so she won’t be in school for a while. I also wanted to tell the woodworking teacher she won’t be coming to her lessons for a while, either. I just hope they don’t question me. I will tell them they will have to contact the Alpha if they want details. I walked into school 15 minutes before my first hour started and turned in all of Chiara’s homework to her teachers, letting them know she was in the clinic and would not be in class anytime soon. Then I went to my class.

DERIC: I got the boys up early. I told them to get the rest of their ranked group and head to the training grounds. I started their training with a 5-mile half-pack run around part of the pack's perimeter. When they returned from the run. I started them on 4 sets of attack/defense hand-to-hand combat tactics. I pushed them hard. Then the girls went to school, and Chad took his first vigil. I told them all that this was going to be their morning routine, but covering different sections of the pack’s perimeter every day until Chiara wakes up. And when the girls take over the afternoon and evening vigils, they will be going through wolfsbane and silver training before returning to the cells at night. I know some are going to think that my punishment is too harsh, but it is also for them; in case they get captured and tortured, they will be able to withstand it. And making them go through it as a form of punishment will remind them that if it should happen, then that too is a form of punishment. But also, salvation, as they will be able to keep their wits about them and be able to work to help themselves get out of any situation.

LOUISE: We got to the Pack house just as lunch was being served. I told Rolan and Hayley to go wash up and had an omega show them to the rooms they could stay in for their visit. I then went in search of my mate. “Derric, love, Rolan, and his cousin Hayley will be staying with us for a few weeks.” “I take it they came back with you?” “Yes, dear, they did.” “Well then, I guess I don’t have a say in the matter.” His answer was terse. “Derric, what’s wrong?” “Come with me and I will show you what is wrong.” He was seething. I really had no choice but to follow him. He led me to the clinic and up to the ICU ward on the 3rd floor. He walked halfway down the hall he pushed a door open, and waited for me to step inside.

DERRIC: I could hardly keep my rage in check. I knew that she was behind everything, but it was hard for me on several levels. She is my mate. But she is hurting our pack. I cannot let her get away with it. I watched her as she stepped into Chiara’s room. “Oh, my goddess, what happened to her?” “You feel that they are a waste of space and resources! That they are no good. But every time you influence our pups to do things like this, it hurts the Pack. Because of this latest incident, I have heard from not one but 3 families that if something
