Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 41
CAIDEN: you can find on the subject in the library.” I told her. “Will you tell me what happened to her?” “Mother doesn’t like her. So, the girls beat her, and we boys beat a boy that mother had a problem with. So, you see, you are much better off finding books to learn how to be a good luna, because my mother is not one. And unless your mate is an Alpha, you won’t be a luna.” I tell her. “Is that why Louise is MIA?” she asked me. “Yeah, Father has her in the dungeon, and as part of her punishment, she is supposed to clean the cells. But she hasn’t done it yet, so she doesn’t get to get out until she does.” I tell her. She nods. And goes back to reading her book to Chi. And I go say hi to her. “Hey Chi, I’m here to stand watch over you for a while. Just know that wherever you are, we will watch over you until you are ready to come back. We really need you to come back.” I whisper to her. And I take up my place to stand my vigil. … “If you don’t want to be around the girls, you would do well to be out of here before 4:30. Otherwise, you will be dealing with Brandi first, then Valen, and visiting hours are over at 8. Plus, Iesha will also be here.” I tell Hayley as I am leaving. “Trust me, I don’t plan on being anywhere near the girls.” She says. “Hey, Caiden?” “Yeah?” I stopped. “Can I leave the book here, in the drawer?” she asked. “Sure, I don’t see why not.” I answered her. And continued to walk out.
HAYLEY: Well, that was enlightening. I guess I have something to keep me occupied now. And I sure as hell won’t be telling Rolan anything either, jerk; he probably knew all along and just wanted to get me into trouble with them. Ha. That won’t be happening. I put the book in the bedside table’s top drawer. “I will come read to you some more tomorrow Chiara.” I said to her. And left.
CAIDEN: When I knew school let out, I linked Brandi. “I don’t know if Hayley stayed or not, but you will smell her in Chi’s room. She was there before I started my vigil, and I don’t know how long she stayed. I just wanted you to know so that you don’t go off the deep end and want to go hunt her down.” “I wouldn’t do that, unless she gave me a reason to, like she did at dinner the other night.” “She won’t be making that mistake again.” “Hope she doesn’t because I don’t think Val will give her another pass.” “Understood.” And I closed the link.
JAYDEN: “What’s up, brother?” I asked him. “Just letting Brandi know that she will probably smell Hayley in Chi’s room. She was there when I got there. She was reading Black Beauty to her.” “Well, at least it wasn’t Dracula, or Iesha would have a fit. That is her story to read to her.” I nodded. “But what did Brandi say? Do we need to run interference again?” “No, at least not as far as Brandi is concerned, but if there are any more issues between Haley and Valen, we could have a problem. Brandi said she boughts that Val will give Hayley another pass.” “Copy that.” I said.
VALEN: “Hey Brandi, what's up?” “That was Jayden letting me know that I might smell Hayley in Chi’s room when I do my vigil today. He said that she was there before he did his. And he didn’t want me going off the deep end.” “That’s not your thing; it might be mine, but not yours.” I say she chuckles. “What the hell was she doing in Chi’s room?” I asked. “I don’t know, he didn’t say.” I nodded. “I’ll ask him at dinner.” I said. And we headed home.
IESHA: I went straight home from school and helped Mom with dinner. We sat down at the table at 5. “I will do my homework at the clinic with Chi.” I said aloud at the dinner table. “Ok, dear, but please come home before visiting hours are over tonight, if you are going in this early.” Dad tells me. “How early?” I asked him. “Maybe by 7 tonight, instead of after 8.” “Ok, daddy, I will.” I said. I finished eating and helped clean up, grabbed my backpack, and headed to the clinic. It was close to 6 when I left. I know I didn’t have much time with her today. When I got there, there was a mix of smells in Chi’s room. Other than the ocean breeze room freshener. I was expecting Brandi’s, but I couldn’t place the other scent. Perhaps it was one of the nursing staff members or another staff member from the clinic. I went and sat in the chair and pulled out my homework. I chatted with her as I did my work, as if she were here with me. I was packing up my books when Valen came in. I picked up Dracul and started reading to her. “Do you like that book?” Valen asked me. “No, not really, but it’s her favorite.” “Would you get upset if someone else read it to her?” “I don’t really know, in some ways no, but in others yes.” “What ways would be the yes?” Valen asked. “Well, because it is her favorite, and I’m the one who started to read it to her, in that regard, yes. But because I don’t really like it myself, no.” I answered. She nodded. “No music today?” “I really don’t work well with too many distractions, and I had homework to do.” I answered. “Which is her favorite of the two CDs?” “She never really said she likes the Pan flute, but she likes the power ballads.” Again, she nods. I go back to reading to Chi. Then, when Valen leaves, I leave at the same time. “Not staying tonight?” “I promised my dad I wouldn’t.” “Ok.” And we both went our separate ways. I still don’t like them being in her room, but I can’t stop them. And they still make me nervous.
DERRIC: Alpha Nikk called me back shortly after dinner was over and said that Mike would indeed take his cousin’s son. I let Alph Nikk know that he wanted to leave asap, so he would need to redo his senior year there. So, now all that was left was to let Brandon know that he could have his transfer. And that would be one less person for Louise to target. I linked Brandon. “Come to my office.” “Yes, Alpha.” I waited 5 minutes, and he was knocking at my door. “Come.” I called out. “You asked to see me, Alpha?” “Yes, Brandon, you will get your transfer. Your father’s cousin said he would sponsor you for the transfer.” “Thank you, Alpha.” “I have a question for you, though.” “Yes?” “Why didn’t you tell us about your father’s cousin before?” “I didn’t think I needed to; this was my home, my friends were here,
