JAYDEN: *“Our office, after we visit Chi.” “Ok, I will send it to all of them.”* He nodded. I opened a link to the whole group. “*We will be meeting in an hour at the office.” I sent out. “Copy.”* I got back multiple times. And nodded.

DERRIC: 5;30, and we were finally able to leave the temple. I had the guard who was with Louise this morning take her back to her cell and have her change back into the prison uniform. “Derric, you will be sorry for all this, I promise you.” Louise screamed at me. “Clean the cells, Louise, and you will be able to come out and be back in the house.” I said. I linked the boys. *“Dinner will be at 6 tonight. I want you there.” “Yes, father.”* 

CAIDEN: After getting father’s link, I had to alter our plans for the meeting time. Then I went to my brother’s room. “Why do you suppose he wants us at dinner?” “Probably wants a family dinner, and maybe a meeting with us. Who knows.” “It won’t be a family dinner without mom.” I state. “Yeah, but until she can get over herself and do what dad told her to do, it may be a long time before we have a full family dinner.” “Do we tell him about what happened with the girls?” “I’m thinking, yeah, I mean, look what happened when we kept shit from him before, I don’t want to go through that again.” “Copy that!” I said. I got up and headed back to my room to change for dinner

JAYDEN: Dinner went much as expected. Mother was refusing to clean any of the cells, and father wasn’t going to let her out until she did. We passed on what we had learned about Rolan and Hayley. But we left out what happened to Cassie and Carri; we weren’t sure that they wanted it passed on to him, so we left it out until we could confirm with them on the matter. Dad was not happy to hear that about Rolan and Hayley, though. “Keep an eye on him. If you see him threatening her or anyone, stop it immediately and bring him to me. Understand?” “Yes, father.” We both answered him.

CHIARA: 5:30, and I was halfway done with the necklaces, I will be able to get them done before the twins’ birthday. I hope that I will be able to be out of here by then and back in my room in the orphanage, and have my life go back to some semblance of normalcy. I know it won’t go completely back to the way it was, but I’m ok with that. No more bullying from the ranked squad is a good thing. I just have to wait till my 18th birthday, or what they consider my 18th birthday to be. Dinner was served at 6. I am a little anxious. The twins said they would be back after temple, not that I want them here, mind you, but at least I would know that they would be gone and not worry about where and when. They still unsettle me, and I don’t like the not knowing. But the necklaces would be out of sight, at least when they came. We were served venison stew for dinner, in honor of it being the goddess’s day. I didn’t argue it this time. Shortly after they came to take away the dinner dishes, Iesha came in. My voice is only slightly better than it has been. But Esha brought a notebook with her. And I was grateful for that. She smiled at me when she came in. “Wow, Chi, where did all the flowers come from?” “The twins.” I rasped out to her. I waved her over so I could show her how much I had gotten done on the twins’ gifts before they get here. “Wow, Chi, they are coming along nicely.” I nodded at her. “I hope to be done with them by the end of the week.” I croaked to her. She handed me the notebook then. ‘Esha, you said that the entire ranked squad got punished, but did the luna?’ I wrote and held it up to her. “Yes, I think she is still in the cells. I don’t know what her punishment actually is, or was, but she was in the temple today wearing a simple linen shift dress like the kind you have for temple days, and no makeup.” She said. ‘Oh great, she will take it out on the orphans when she gets out!’ I wrote. “I don’t think so. The Alpha will be keeping an eye on her from now on, so she won’t be able to cause any more of the same trouble.” She answered. ‘I don’t know about that; she will find a way to get back at us.’ I wrote. Just then, the door burst open, and the twins came in along with Vince and Chad. And before we could hide the front page, Vince grabbed the notebook and started to read it out loud. “Yes, mother is currently in the cells as we speak.” Caiden answered. “And no mother will not, be taking out her punishment on the orphans, nor you.” Jayden said. I was not happy that they just barged in like that and then got into our private conversation, but I am still leery of them as well and didn’t trust them not to hurt us. “You don’t know that, even if it’s not any of you, it doesn’t mean she won’t find some of the warriors’ kids to do her bidding.” I croaked out at them. But before they got to answer me, Esha asked, looking at the twins. “Did you get my message?” “Yes, we did.” “Ok.” “What message?” I asked, and my voice sounded like sandpaper on wood. I watched as Iesha took the notebook away from Vince and handed it back to me with a glare at him. “She isn’t supposed to use her voice too much.” She said, looking disgustedly at him. “Sorry.” He said. Looking sheepish. She just nodded. “I had an interesting day all the way around today.” “How so?” the twins asked in unison. It was funny. “I was on my way home from school, and out of the blue, Mitch was there, and he hit on me.” ‘What? That is crazy. Was he trying to get you in trouble?’ I wrote. And held it up for her to read. “I honestly have no idea, but I think he was high, and I knew that if I didn’t handle it right, I was going to be in some serious trouble, and not the kind the rank squad would do. If you follow my meaning.” She said. ‘Oh Esha, are you ok?.’ I wrote. “Yes, I’m ok, I linked Sheree and told her that he needed her help. But here’s the weird part: when he saw her, he got pissy with me, called me a bitch, and said that I could have had him. No, thank you.” She said. I looked at the guys to see their reaction to what she just said.
