Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 38
VALEN: She said. And just like that, the truth of the twins’ words hit and hit hard. I stayed longer than I needed to, considering I started my vigil earlier than I was supposed to, but I did need to get away from Hayley. I stayed quiet after that last question I asked Iesha. I just listened to her reading to Chiara, and the soft flute music in the background. At 7, I left. I had my own homework to get done.
IESHA: I stayed until 8 when visiting hours were over. I was scared about Valen being there. And I hate that all these posters are up in Chi’s room. I get why, but I don’t like it. And she isn’t going to be happy when she wakes up and sees all of them. “I will see you tomorrow.” I said to her. I squeezed her hand lightly. Then I looked down at her wrist and noticed that her other bracelet was missing. I looked frantically around the bed, on the floor, and in the stand that was by the bed. Nothing. I pressed the nurse’s button. A nurse came in almost immediately. “What’s wrong?” she asked me. “My friend had a braided bracelet that she wore on her wrist.” I said, touching her right wrist. “It’s gone. What happened to it?” I asked. “We had to cut it off of her when she came in so we could set up the IV.” The nurse said. “Did you keep it?” I asked her. “I believe it was put in with her personal effects.” The nurse said. “Please check.” I asked her, slightly panicked. I know how much that bracelet meant to Chi. And if it were truly missing or ruined, she would be devastated. “I will put in the request for it in the morning. But it is after visiting hours, and you need to go home, miss.” The nurse told me. I couldn’t argue, so I left, but I made a mental note to tell the alpha twins about Chi’s bracelet and see if they can get answers. I know that if she wakes up and it is gone, she will panic. I linked Jayden; he was the least scary of the two twins. “I am sorry for disturbing you, Alpha. I mean no harm and no disrespect, but the staff at the hospital needs to check Chiara’s things for her other bracelet. If it’s missing, she will have a panic attack when she wakes and it’s not on her wrist.” I rushed my words, so I probably sounded like a deranged person. But I didn’t want to have anything to do with them; they scare me. “Calm down, Iesha, what bracelet are you talking about?” “She has, or had, a braided bracelet of Jace’s hair that she wore on her right wrist. I noticed it was gone when I was visiting her tonight.” “We will make sure that it gets found. I promise.” “Thank you.” And I closed the link in a rush. I didn’t want to talk to them other than to make sure they knew about Chi’s other bracelet. I couldn’t tell them that she wouldn’t have cared if the one they gave her went missing, but the one made from Jace’s hair was more important to her. I went home after that, finished my homework, and went to bed.
CAIDEN: “What’s up, brother?” I asked Jayden. “Iesha, she’s panicked. Something about a braided bracelet that Chi has, or had made out of Jace’s hair.” He said. “I remember seeing it on her when we gave her ours. I was going to replace it with ours, but she said she didn’t want it getting lost.” I said. “Yes, well, now it has Iesha panicked, because it’s missing. She wants us to make sure the hospital staff checks her personal belongings for it.” I told him. “I will link Chad; he has the first vigil, and he can get them to look into it.” I said as I opened a link to Chad. “Chad, when you go in for your vigil in the morning, tell the staff you want to see all of Chiara’s belongings. If they balk at it, tell them that they'd better have her things there by the time Jayden starts his vigil.” “Ok, but what are we looking for?” “A braided hair bracelet.” “Ok, and if it’s not there or they refuse to let me look?” “Tell them they had better have her things for Jayden.” “Copy that.” I closed the link. “Chad said he would talk to them in the morning, but if they balk at his request, I told him to tell them they had better have it for you.” Jayden nods and goes back to the contract he was studying before Iesha linked him.
ROLAN: I couldn’t believe the disaster Hayley made of that simple task. I swear. But it did give me something; my sister was behind whatever happened to that girl. I have some business that I need to take care of, but I need my brother-in-law to ok me getting a package delivered here. So, I go in search of him. I go to his office and knock, and wait to hear if he answers. “Come.” I hear from inside the room, so I tentatively open his office door and peek in. “Derric?” “Yes.” “I was wondering if I could receive a delivery here.” “What kind of delivery?” “Nothing much, just a few handheld gaming consoles, you know, like the Game Boy setups, is all.” “That’s fine.” “Derric? Where’s my sister?” I came straight out and asked him. He stared at me for a bit before he answered. “She’s in the dungeon.” He deadpanned his answer to me. “What did she do?” I asked. “She wasn’t a good luna, and because of her direct involvement in some issues, Pack members were hurt.” He said. Well, now I have even more information than I had before. I didn’t like that my sister was in the dungeon, but there wasn’t much I could do about that at the moment. But I won’t let him get away with putting my sister there. It doesn’t matter what she did. I get up to take my leave of him. “Thank you. For allowing the delivery.” I said as I left. I will make him regret his actions of putting her in there. I made my way out of his office and back to my room. I made a phone call to my contact. “I will take delivery at the Silver Aspen Pack. I am here visiting my sister, but her mate has her in lock up, so I will be repaying his Pack for his actions. Send all the ingredients I will need here. I will be at the gate to sign for them. Make sure the label says gaming consoles.” I said and hung up. I should be getting my delivery in a day or two. And when I get everything mixed, this pack will regret ever doubting my sister. I will get them hooked before they know what hit them.
BRANDON: Wednesday morning, after breakfast, the doctor came in and checked my vitals and checked my ribs.
