Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 39
BRANDON: “Can I leave today?” I asked him. “I don’t see why not. You will need to take it easy for a few more days, but there is no reason for you to have to stay here.” He tells me. “Thanks, Doc.” “Welcome.” Once he left, I got up, got dressed, and headed upstairs. I wanted to see her again before I left, and I mean left for good, because after seeing Chiara, I was going to head straight for the alpha’s office to request that transfer. I was getting out. I reached her room just as Chad was leaving; it was 9 in the morning. What was he doing here so early? Well, I wasn’t going to ask to find out. I just waited for him to disappear before I entered her room. I walked over to her bed and took her hand. “If I could, I would ask for a transfer for you to come with me. My dad’s cousin’s Pack has to be better than here. Hell, most any place has to be better than here. I truly am sorry that they did this to you. I wish you all the best. Get better, Chiara, and get your own back on them.” I said to her and then left.
CHAD: When I got to the clinic in the morning, I told the nurse on duty that I wanted to see Chiara’s personal effects. She said that she was not able to fulfill that request, as I was not related to Chiara, nor was I the Alpha, and therefore, the answer was no. I tried a link with Jayden. I knew it would be hard to concentrate, what with having the wolfsbane in our systems, but he needed to know. “They told me no. Said I was not the next of kin, nor the Alpha. So, I guess it is up to you.” I told him through the link. “Damn it all anyway.” He shot back. I could feel his anger coming through the link. “Ok, I will deal with it when I get there, but they are not going to like it if that bracelet isn’t there.” He said, and I closed the link. I noticed the CD player. So, I linked Valen. “What’s the issue with the CD Player?” I asked. “Iesha brought it yesterday and was playing the flute CD while she read to her.” “Ok. I will leave a note for the others, so you, Brandi, and my sisters won’t keep getting disturbed while you're in school.” “That would be appreciated.” She said. I closed that link. I am feeling exhausted from fighting the wolfsbane and doing the linking. I feel like I could just lie down and sleep for a week. I finished my vigil and went back to doing the training.
DERRIC: I was in the middle of training the twins-ranked group when one of the house omegas linked me. “Alpha, there’s another omega here who wishes to speak to you.” “Did they say who they were?” “Yes, Alpha, he says his name is Brandon, he says he wants to talk to you about a transfer.” “Let him know I will be right there.” “Yes, Alpha.” “Keep working, I have some Pack business I have to deal with.” I tell the boys. They nod and continue to work on the chess strategies. I go to my office, and I see Brandon waiting for me. I open the door and usher him in. “Have a seat.” I say. “What can I do for you?” I asked him. “I want to transfer to my dad’s cousin’s Pack. I believe it's Evergreens Hills Pack.” “What’s your dad’s cousin’s name?” I asked him. “Mike Stien.” “I will call the Alpha for the pack and see if your dad’s cousin is willing to be responsible for you. You will have to finish school, whether you finish here before you go, or you restart your senior year over there, you will have to finish your last year.” “I understand. I would rather restart it there, no offense to you, alpha, but I want out.” “I understand. I will make the call after lunch and let you know by dinner.” I told him. “Thank you, Alpha.” I nod at him, and he leaves. And so, it begins. I just hope that it doesn’t end in a stampede or a mass exodus.
JAYDEN: I was not happy to hear that the staff would not let Chad look for Chiara’s other bracelet, so the minute I walked through the front doors, the whole staff knew I was not happy. “I want Chiara’s things brought to her room immediately!” I barked out the order. And headed to Chi’s room. When I opened the door to her room, I smelled ocean breeze, without the wax. Thank the goddess. But it was mixed with…Brandon. What the hell was he doing in here? I checked everything, and thankfully, nothing was missing. I saw the note Chad had left on the CD Player, so I put the ‘80s power ballads on for her. A couple of minutes later, an orderly came in carrying a small manila envelope. It had Chiara’s name on it. “As requested, Alpha.” He said as he held out the envelope to me. I took it from him. “This is all?” I asked. “Yes, Alpha.” Came his reply. “Thank you. I will return it when my vigil is over.” I said. I waited until he left before I opened the envelope. There wasn’t much in it, but a pair of earrings and the braided hair bracelet that Iesha was so worried about. But I noticed that it had been cut, not unlatched, but cut in the middle. I linked Iesha, I didn’t care that she was in class, and I didn’t care that it was going to take a lot out of me to hold the link; I needed to know what to do to fix that bracelet for Chi. “Iesha, I have Chiara’s bracelet, but it was cut off her, not unlatched. What do I do to fix it?” I asked. “I don’t know. But try to wrap the cut ends with tape so that it doesn’t come completely undone. Chi will fix it when she wakes up. But tell her.” “What do you mean, tell her?” “The doctor said to talk to her, she can still hear you, so if you tell her, maybe it won’t be so devastating to her when she does wake up.” she tells me. I close the link and press the nurse call button. Then I sat down in the chair next to Chi’s bed. “Chi, I am so sorry about your bracelet. I will do what I can to keep it intact for you, but you will have to fix it when you wake up.” I tell her. Just then, the nurse came in. “Is everything ok, Alpha?” “I need some tape.” I stated flatly. “Yes, Alpha.” She left, and a couple of minutes later came back with a tape dispenser. I took it from her and very carefully wrapped the cut ends of the braided hair. “See, I tried my best, Chi.” I said as I placed it in her hand,
