BRANDON: I’m out. I go back to my bed and wait for tomorrow.

ROLAN: I haven’t seen my sister since dinner the night we got here. I’ve asked where she is, but nobody is talking, nobody is telling us anything. And it’s starting to piss me off. Just like nobody is telling us about the girl in the coma, but I’ve watched, and all the ranked wolves, well, the next generation anyway, are going to the clinic, they stay for 30 minutes, and leave. I don’t know what's going on with that either, but I intend to find that out as well. I’ll let Hayley work the girls; she should be able to get something from them. The guys are too tight-lipped. I sent my cousin a text. (Try to get the girls to talk about the girl in the clinic, and my sister.) (Ok.)

CARRI: It was just after 5, and we all started to file into the Pack house dining hall. Not everyone ate here, but most did. It was set up like a buffet-style service. We girls waited for Brandi to get in from her vigil before we got in line to eat. Valen was quiet, a little too quiet. We all knew she was pissed, but we didn’t know how to address it. When Brandi came in, we got in line. Got our plates. and then joined the guys at their table. And that’s when it happened, Hayley just sat down uninvited, like she owned the place, and she started to flirt with all the guys. That put Valen in a bad mood, especially after the recording we heard from the luna. “Hey guys, why won’t anyone tell us, I mean, Rolan and me, about the girl?” She asked, all fake, sugary sweet. And I thought Valen was going to throw down on her right then and there. I guess the guys did too, because both the twins got her out of the dining hall fast. Leaving the rest of us scrambling to keep Hayley from following them out. That was a mess. Not to mention that the guys were still dealing with the effects of the wolfsbane that they had to take for their training. I have to stop and wonder if the luna knew what was going to happen, and that’s why she brought them back with her, to try and keep things off balance and the focus off of her. I didn’t voice it, but I was thinking it. Brandi was pissed at the whole display. “YOU WANT TO KNOW! SHE IS A HUMAN, WHO THE LUNA SAID DISRESPECTED HER. AND BECAUSE WE BELIEVED IT, WE DEALT WITH HER. AND IF YOU KEEP PUSHING, WE WILL DEAL WITH YOU IN THE SAME WAY!” Brandi didn’t yell; she was very quiet when she spoke, but you could tell that she was pissed, and she, too, was on the verge of losing her patience and temper. None of us wanted to deal with Hayley or Rolan right now. The look on Hayley’s face was comical; she was scared shitless, and you could smell the fear coming off of her in waves. I almost laughed.

DERRIC: I went down to join the Pack for dinner, and I caught the incident at the kids’ table. I wasn’t going to interfere unless it started to get out of hand. But the boys got Valen out before she could punch Hayley. Which was good, Valen isn’t in a good place right now; she put too much trust in Louise, and now she has to deal with the fact that most of it was a lie. And with teenage hormones, it’s not good timing on Hayley’s part. I just hope Hayley can respect their silence. But I know Rolan won’t. I will have to try to keep an eye on him, so they don’t end up putting him in the hospital as well. Oh, goddess, what a mess. I did have to smile at Brandi, though, granted, I wouldn’t have let them hurt Hayley, but it was interesting to watch how they bonded and stuck up for each other. I needed to know why Rolan and Hayley were here, so I linked Louise. “Why exactly did you bring your brother and his cousin home with you?” “Because Mother volunteered me to try and straighten Hayley out. She and my sister have a problem falling for wolves that are not their mates, and then they go off the deep end when the wolf in question finds their fated mate. And Hayley wanted someone she knew with her, so Rolan volunteered.” She tells me. Great, one mess on top of another. Just what I didn’t need. “Have you cleaned any of the cells yet?” “No! and I won’t! you can’t keep me in here forever. Derric.” “Watch me.” I said and closed the link.

VALEN: I had lost my appetite after putting up with Hayley. “I’m fine. But you need to tell her to back off.” I tell the twins. “And I would watch yourselves with her. She is going to try and mess with the lot of you, including my brother, and if any of you do get tangled up with her, it isn’t going to be pretty; she’s psychotic.” I tell them. “There’s no need to worry on our part.” Caiden said. “We are waiting for our mate.” Jayden said. “Yes, well, you would do well to tell her that, and to tell Chad and my brother to do the same.” I said. “I’m going to take my vigil.” I told them and headed to the clinic. Right now, the solitude of Chiara’s room will do me good. Maybe help balance me from wanting to rip Hayley apart.

IESHA: I bought Chi’s C.D. player and the only CDs she had. One was a mix of ’80s power ballads, and the other was a mix of relaxing wood flute music, including a couple of pieces done on the pan flute, which I think were her favorite. I wasn’t expecting to see Valen there when I came in. I was a little scared and nervous with her there. “Don’t worry, I am not going to hurt you.” She said. I came in, and I smelled ocean breeze, but the candles weren’t lit. Then I noticed the plug in’s. I looked around and found an outlet that would work for her player near the bed. I put in the flute CD and picked up the book, and started to read to her.

VALEN: I watched Iesha, I saw how scared she was, and she really didn’t want to be in the room with me there. I get it, I was not the best person, and now I understand what the twins were talking about. I wasn’t feeling too fond of the fact that she was scared. “Iesha? Do you want to move out of the pack?” I asked her. “Yes.” She answered without hesitation. “Is it because of us?” I asked again. And again, without hesitation, she answered “Yes.” “Do you know if there are others?” I asked. “Every one of your victims, for starters. Then there are two other families besides me, but I don’t know if my dad will actually move.”
