ROLAN: And he just nodded. I kept an eye on them to make sure that things wouldn’t get too out of hand. I let the party go until around 11:30, then I called it a night. “Now, now, we can’t be late for the Alpha’s birthday Party tomorrow, can we?” I remarked at those who grumbled about ending early. And I gave out some extra joints to the girls with a, “See you tomorrow at the Alphas’ Party.” As I ushered them out of the clearing.

JAYDEN: Even though it was our birthday, we still had training in the morning, so the entire unit, including the girls, was up at 5:30 and down for breakfast, then out on the training field. We were halfway round our designated border patrol when I noticed Caiden’s eyes gloss over. We kept moving, though; we had a schedule to keep and none of us wanted Father’s wraith. So, I waited until we got back to the training area before I asked him what was up. “Who linked you?” I asked. “Doc. He found an additive to the new batch of joints we sent him.” “What did he find?” “He said it was a hormone that tricks the body into going into a mild heat.” “Shit!!” I said, drawing the word out. He just nodded. “Is there anything that can counter it?” I asked him. “I don’t know, that would be a question for him to answer.” Caiden says. “We will have to go talk to him, hopefully, before the festivities start for our party.” I said. And he nodded.

VINCE: I nudge Chad and nod in the direction of the twins. “I wonder what’s up with them?” Maybe talking about who linked Caiden while we were on patrol.” Chad said. “Let’s go find out what’s up.” I said. He nodded and followed me over closer to the twins. “What’s the word?” I asked. “Doc got back to me.” Caiden said. “He said there is an additive in the new batch of joints we had him test.” “Now what?” I asked. “A hormone that tricks the body into going into a mild heat.” “Shit!!” I said, drawing the word out. “Man, you need to stop hanging around Jayden so much; you’re starting to sound like him.” Caiden said. Jayden chuckled, “I said the exact same thing in the exact same way.” “Do we know or have anything that can counter it?” Chad asked, bringing us back to the topic at hand. “That is something for the Doc to answer.” Caiden said. “When do you think we will be able to get over to the clinic to talk to him?” I asked. “That will depend on Dad, on whether he will let us end training early today or not.” Jayden answers. “Well, we can head over there before we go eat lunch.” I said. They nodded.

CHIARA: I’m a bit nervous, today is the twins’ birthday, and my first day of being back in rotation for kitchen duty. I prefer to be in the kitchen; if I am doing dishes, everybody leaves me alone. Nobody wants the Luna’s wrath if a dish gets broken, that’s why they get left to me. That way, I am the one who gets blamed. But I’m also nervous about the necklaces. I don’t know how they will receive them. If they will like them or if they will just toss them aside. I am almost afraid to go, but as I am still in the orphanage, I have to attend, even if it’s just to put in an appearance, drop the necklaces in the basket, have a glass of punch, and then leave until I have to report for duty. I hope Iesha will be there. I will at least have someone to talk to if she is. I know that it’s a pool party, but I don’t own a bathing suit, even if I did, I wouldn’t wear it. Not with my scars. But right now, I can’t sit still; I have too much pent-up nervous energy running through me. So, I grab everything for the twins’ party and head downstairs to see if there is anything I can help Miss Blair with. She puts me in charge of making sure that everyone has made their cards, and if not, I am to help them make them, and put them in the big envelope so they all get transported over to the party together. I help to get us all breakfast as well anything to keep my mind occupied and off the fact that today is my first real day back in circulation. I am wearing shorts and just a plain tee. I know the scars on my legs are visible, but that can’t be helped. I don’t want to be uncomfortable with the heat of the day. And if I do end up in the pool, they will dry quicker.

DERRIC: Louise still hasn’t relented and cleaned any of the cells, so she will be missing the boys’ party. I asked the ranked females to put it together, get everything decorated, and set up the menu. I even relented and am allowing them to have wolfen beer. I know that they aren’t old enough by human standards, but we aren’t human; we are werewolves. So, I said they could have a couple of kegs. I need to talk with my ranked unit, because I know that I cannot keep her in the dungeon indefinitely, but if she won’t clean the cells, she still needs to be punished, a punishment that will make her understand that what she did was wrong and not to try and do it again. I also still need to understand why she doesn’t like the humans or the orphans. If  I had that information, I might be able to devise a more suitable punishment for her. I know her father has passed, but I need to see if there is anyone left on his side of the family that I can talk to that might shed some light on why she is the way she is. I will let the boys off today because it’s their birthday. I linked them. “I am giving you the rest of the day today. Happy Birthday.” I said. “Thank you, Father.” They both responded, and I closed the link.

CAIDEN: “We just got the official ok from Father to take the rest of the day to ourselves.” I said to the group as a whole. “Great, then we can go get that report from the doc now.” Vince said. Everyone nodded; we all wanted to be prepared for what might come our way. And be ready to take down Rolan when the time came. We all headed over to the clinic to talk with the doc. Hopefully, there was something we could do to counteract the hormone he used. “Doc.” I greeted him as we walked to his office. “Happy birthday, boys.” He said. As we met up in front of his door. “What can I help you with today?” “The report, the hormone, is there something that we can use to counteract it?” I asked. As we followed him into his office.
