Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 121
DERRIC: not used to being called Luna yet. I smiled. And so did the boys. “Now that everybody is here, Chi, please, tell us what happened last night.” I say to her. “I promised Iesha that I would be there for her first shift, and I told her we could go for a run. So, we let Thena and Deena have their head, take the lead, so to speak. They were having fun playing when everything went quiet. The next thing I knew, we were surrounded by rogues. I reached out to Esha. I told her that our wolves know how to fight even if we don’t, so don’t interfere with them and let them do their thing. They killed 3, and then everybody showed up, and you know the rest.” She said. “How is it that your wolves know how to fight?” I asked. “The goddess made sure that the pups that were under my care knew how to fight.” She answered. “What do you mean by under your care?” I asked her. “When I was in my coma, I was with the goddess; she put me in charge of a small group of pups. Mine and Esha’s, I knew, from that time, so I knew they could fight.” She said. I nodded my understanding then.
CHIARA: Although they were including me in this conversation, I still felt somewhat of an outsider being in here with all of them. Then Jayden spoke up. “Mom let Rolan out of the cells last night when we were all on the hunt for the rogues.” He said. “Shit!” Vince cussed. “Exactly.” Caiden replied. “Now what are we going to do? We can’t put him on trial if we don’t have him.” Chad said. “We will get him back into custody before the Mate Ball. I promise.” The Alpha said. I turned to look at Chad. “If you hurt my best friend, in any way, shape, or form, I will let Thena beat the crap out of you!” I said. “And she can do it too, seeing as she is a Beta and goddess kissed!” I said. Then I had all eyes on me. “What exactly does that mean? Goddess kissed.” The Alpha asked. “I am not sure, really. I think Thena can tell you better than I can.” I said, and then I asked her if she would tell the Alpha about what she meant when she said it. (“I am goddess kissed, I carry the favor of the goddess, no, I do not hold any special powers, except for Chiara, I can help her through the trauma that ‘they’ put her through.” She said through me, waving my hand at the ranked squad. Who actually looked ashamed. “I am her wolf, and I will not let anyone hurt her ever again. Not even your Luna.” She told the alpha. “I wouldn’t have it any other way, Thena. My Luna has caused too much pain in this Pack, and not just to Chiara, even though she may have taken the brunt of it.” Alpha Derric said to my wolf. And I felt her nod. Then she receded to her space in the back of my mind. “Umm Thank you, all, but I need to get back to my apartment, if I could get my clothes from last night, and one of you could take me?” I asked the room at large. “You know you don’t have to go, Chi.” Jayden said. “I do, I still need rest, according to the doctor, and I start my job on Thursday.” I said. “What job?” the Alpha asked me. “I found a shipping/receiving position in a small boutique a couple of blocks from where I moved to. It’s not a lot, but it’s a start, and the manager said I could showcase my stuff.” “How many days a week will you be working?” He asked me. “3. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays until I get the all clear from the doc, then I will be able to do more.” I tell him. “You will still be at graduation? Right?” Caiden asked. “I should be, unless I didn’t pass my tests.” I said. “You still haven’t heard?” The Alpha asked. “No, Sir, I have not.” I tell him. I watch as his eyes glaze over. While he is linking whomever he is linking, I turn to the twins. “I was supposed to turn in my book report today. I would appreciate it if you would take me home so I can retrieve it and then take me to the school so I can get it turned in.” I tell the twins. “Of course, we will do that for you.” “Thank you.” I say. And the Alpha was done with his link. “Good news, you passed. So, you will get to graduate on Friday with your class.” He said. “Thank you, Alpha.” I said. “You're welcome. Have you thought about when you want your Luna ceremony to be?” He asked. And I couldn’t help it; I went into a full-on panic mode. I withdrew and threw Thena out front and center. I know that I will have to deal with it, but not when there are still so many problems hanging over our/ their heads. And with their mother hating me, I am not going to start planning something that may never happen. (“No Alpha, she has not chosen a date, she still fears the Luna. And until that issue is resolved, I don’t think she will even consider herself a Luna.”) Thena told them. “I apologize; I did not mean to upset her, Thena.” The Alpha said. (“I understand, Alpha, but until she recovers and gets mentally stronger from everything that your Luna caused her, we can’t push her overly much. And with the argument that the twins just had, and you calling her Luna earlier, then throwing the ceremony out there, like that, it was a bit much for her to handle. I will coax her back out.”) Thena says. \[“Chi, come back, you’re safe.”\] \[“They want me to plan something that may never happen, especially if the Luna has her way. Why won’t they reject me? It would put all of us out of the misery of what’s going to happen next.”\] \[“The twins respect the goddess, and they abide by her choice. They will love you and take care of you. The goddess gives you her promise, Chi.”\] \[“And what happens if by some crazy chance, I am the one who puts an end to the Luna? I mean, with your help, obviously. Or they end up putting her to death because of me, what then? Will they still love me? And I don’t know how they can say they love me after everything that has happened between us.”\] \[“Chi, no one, not even the goddess, can answer those questions. You just have to trust in the bond; it will help you move past the past and open up to them. I’m not saying you will forgive and forget, but I am saying that it can and will help you to heal. Come back now. You’re safe.”\] I come forward. “I would appreciate it if you would not bring up
