Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 65
VINCE: I tell him. “I promise, I won’t let it come to that.” “Good. Go about your day, and remember not a word to anyone about this conversation.” “Yes, Beta.” I nodded, and he left the area. I linked the twins. “There’s another party supposedly happening tonight. I think I found the right person to do recon for us.” “Who?” Jayden asked. “One of our warriors, Randy. He did ask that we not bust him. I told him that we didn’t care as long as it didn’t interfere with his duties.” “Fair enough.” Caiden answered. “Hopefully, by this time tomorrow, we will have some answers.” I sent through the link. “Hopefully.” They both sent back. And I closed the link.
CHAD: I googled Jace’s name and birthdate to start my search for his people. There were a dozen Jace’s out there, and I tracked all of them until I found ours. And from there, I traced his family back. I found out his mom was adopted, but I pulled her information anyway. Her adoptive parents' address and phone number. And then I pulled his dad’s information. His dad’s family is a piece of work. I found that they manipulated contracts with their partner companies to their advantage. They were accused of conspiracy to defraud, and a few other charges dealing with business issues. They weren’t nice people, to be sure. But I still pulled their information so that it was there for Chi when she wanted it. And I was going to keep my promise to the goddess, if Chi wants to go find them and tell them that Jace is dead, I will be right there with her to do it.
JAYDEN: “Caid with what Vince just sent, that there is a party planned for tonight, do you think we should go check it out?” I asked him. “I trust Vince, he says he has it handled. Let’s just wait on what comes of his recon mission.” Caid answers back. “Although we might want to clue Brandi in, so she can keep her windows closed.” He chuckled. I grinned and nodded. I linked Brandi. “We got word that there is going to be another party tonight, so you might want to keep your windows shut tonight.” “Ok, thanks for the heads up. But don’t you want to go check it out?” Brandi asked. “No, Vince has it covered; he has someone who’s going, who will report back to him. We would rather work this covertly. Just in case it does have something to do with Rolan.” I told her. “Ok, again thanks for the heads up.” “Not a problem.” and I closed the link.
CAIDEN: “Come on, it’s time for lunch, and then we have to start our afternoon training.” I called to Jayen. “Do you think Father will let us off a bit early today?” He asked. “I don’t know that’s something you will have to ask him, but why?” I asked. “We haven’t seen Chiara since the goddess’s day. I just thought it would be nice to go see how she is doing. I know she started her therapy on Wednesday. I just want to know how she is coming along. Is all.” He answered with a shrug of his shoulders. “And goddess, I hope we don’t have to fight Rolan and that bunch again. I don’t know what the hell that smell was, but it messed with me.” “Yeah, I know what you mean, brother, me too.” Our weekend training got switched up because the girls were not in school; they had to do much of the same training as we did. So, the wolfsbane training got pushed to the afternoon training sessions to include them. They were not happy with it, but now they know what we have to put up with, except they don’t have to do the complicated math or the chess masters /defensive strategies like we did. But they still had to fight.
CHIARA: Even though it was Saturday, I still had to do therapy, walk the square 3-4 x a day, and work the bands 3 x a day. At least my voice was getting back to normal. I didn’t sound like a frog croaking or sandpaper on wood anymore. I was happy I got the necklaces done, and I also got the picture copied. I colored it the same way I made the necklaces, except I added the rainbow and stars above it. I have it all set for the twins’ birthday; hopefully, I will be out of here by then. Now I need to concentrate on catching up with schoolwork along with my therapy. I was actually sitting up in the chair, reading over the questions at the end of the chapters, when they brought me lunch. I was moved up to a soft diet. So, I could eat some veggies, as long as they were almost mush, and ground-up meat mixed with gravy, so I was on my way back to being normal. There is one more week to go before the twins’ birthday. I have a long road ahead of me, and I don’t know whether I will be back to full strength by then or not, or if they will let me out if I’m not. I will have to ask. I was about halfway through the chapter questions in my science book when Hayley came in to get me for my walk. “Time for your walk Chi.” “Ok. Um, Hayley, have you heard anything about when I might be getting out?” I asked her. “No. Sorry, I haven’t, but they don’t tell me anything like that. I am just volunteering until I can figure out a way to get myself home.” She says. “If you want to go home, just ask the Alpha, he will make sure you get home ok.” “I suppose I could, but see, I was supposed to be learning how to be a luna from Louise.” “Then thank the goddess that you didn’t, because she is not a good luna. She has picked on the orphans and the humans that are in the pack. She hates us humans for some reason that I have no clue about. But it was at her behest that I was put in a coma in the first place. Did she mean for that to happen? I don’t really know, just like I don’t know if she meant for my best friend, Jace, to die two years ago, but it happened, and it was because she made him a target for her kids and the rest of the ranked wolves.” I tell her. “So, if you are really supposed to learn how to be a luna, a good luna, look elsewhere.” I tell her. “Oh goddess, I had no idea she was that bad.” We had made it halfway around the square when the twins caught up to us. “Chiara, how are you doing?” Jayden asked. “I am getting back to normal, slowly but surely.” I answered him. “Any word on when you will be getting out?” Caiden asked. “I haven’t heard any definitive timeline.” I said. “But they might tell you if you ask them.” I said.
