CASSIE: The Luna was stopping around like she was trying to either stomp someone’s head in, or she was trying to get mud from her shoes. Either way, she was scary, and I noticed that Chad had hightailed it out of the packhouse shortly after dinner. So, I linked him to find out what the 911 was. “Chad, where are you?” “With the twins at Chi’s.” “Why did they go to the orphanage? Is something wrong with her?” “She’s not at the orphanage, and don’t say anything except to Carri. The twins had a confrontation with the Luna a couple of different times today, so they need to see Chi. To help calm their beast, and when she wasn’t where she normally would be, it freaked them out. So, we will be staying with her tonight, for their sake.”  He told me. “Ok, but that still doesn’t answer the question of where you’re at.” “Apartment complex on Shire near the factory district.” “That’s a harsh neighborhood. What’s she doing there?” “ I don’t have the details yet, but when I get them, I will share. But let mom and dad know that I probably won’t be home tonight. We’ll be staying here with Chi tonight.” “Will do.” And I closed the link with him and opened one with Mom, Dad, and Carri. “Chad says he won’t be home tonight; he, Vince, and the twins are spending the night with Chiara. Before you jump to conclusions, she isn’t at the orphanage; she moved out, we’re supposed to keep that part a secret, just to us.” I tell them. “Where did she move to?” Mom asked. “According to Chad, the apartment complex on Shire near the factory district.” “That’s a rough area.” Dad said. “I know, but that is where our future Luna is staying, at least for the time being.” I said. Dad shook his head. “She is going to need protection living there.” Carri said. “That is not up to us, unless the Alphas tell us otherwise. I agree we may have to keep an eye on her, but I think the whole keeping it quiet is too, not draw attention to her being there. To help keep her safe from the luna.” Dad says. I nod my agreement.

CHIARA: I was not quite in full-on panic mode, and there was a knock on the door. I was confused, other than Iesha and her Dad and now these four, no one knows where I live. I couldn’t make out what the heck was in them. “It’s ok, Chi, we are going to have a sleepover.” Jayden said. “I don’t have any place for you to sleep!” I said, panicking again. “It’s ok, Chi, you don’t have to. We will be just fine on the floor, right here.” Caiden said, pointing at the floor. It was a rather large space, considering I don’t have a couch or anything like that to sit on yet, just the kitchen chairs, and there are only two of those. I don’t know if I can handle much more. It’s overwhelming having all four of them in my space. I think the only thing that is keeping me grounded is their scent. If I close my eyes and just concentrate on their scents of Bayberry and Pine, and Aromatic Cedar, thyme, rosemary, and oregano, I am ok, but the minute I start to let myself remember who they are, I start to panic again, thinking, when is the other shoe going to drop, and they will start to bully me again. “The bathroom is through that door.” I said, pointing.
