Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human Chapter 56
IESHA: and told her Chiara wanted me to go buy her some paint, so could she let me into Chi’s room so I could get her money. She took me upstairs and waited for me to get the money. I took $25 from the sock and put it back down the bedpost, screwed the knob back on, and left Chi’s room. Miss Blair locked it back up, and I headed to the craft store. I got the link from the Alpha twins when I was on my way to the store. *“Iesha, Brandi told us what happened today. Are you ok?” “Yes, I am fine. But why are you asking? I mean, you never cared before.” “Yes, Iesha, we did, it’s just that we were always under our mother’s influence and not always able to show we cared, but we did care.” “Um, yeah, ok. But yes, I am fine, I made it through the day, no worse for wear. It was just very annoying to have everybody coming up, bouncing off me, and sniffing me.” “If it happens again, please tell us.” “Yes, Alphas.”* I said. *“Is there anything else I can do for you?”* I asked them. *“No, we just wanted to make sure you were ok. After what Brandi told us happened today.” “Thank you for asking, but I am fine. I have to go now.” “Ok.”* And they closed the link. And I went into the store to buy the paint Chi wanted, again with the help of the store clerk. I bought her fine-grade sandpaper, the enamel paint, and some brushes, and headed back to the clinic. “Chi, why the sandpaper?” I asked her. ‘To slightly ruff the back so the paint soaks in, and that will help with sealing the wood. So that I don’t have to use a varnish or shellac.’ She wrote so I could read. “I hope they get done with my backpack before I have to leave.” I said. And Chi nodded. ‘I want tomorrow to come; I will be able to start my therapy.’ She wrote. “Do you know what they will have you doing?” I asked. ‘No, not yet, but anything will be better than being couped up in this room 24/7 minus going to use the bathroom.’ I chuckled at her. “By the way, the twins linked me when I was on my way to the store.” ‘What did they want?’ “Just to make sure I was ok, after what happened today at school.” ‘I don’t get what's up with them, not like they cared before, and it’s not like they could have, or would have done anything to stop or prevent it.’ “They actually said they did care, but they were under the influence of their mother. And couldn’t always show that they cared.” ‘Do you believe them?’ “Honestly, I don’t know what to believe anymore. The girls, even though not being super friendly, have been better.” ‘I still don’t know if I could ever trust them, after everything they put me through.’ “I know.” We settled into a peaceful quiet after that. She worked on the necklaces, and I did some of my homework. It was an hour before dinner was served when Valen brought my backpack back to me. “Here.” “Thank you. Did they find out what was the cause of the crazy behavior?” “Yeah, somehow the three of you came in contact with anise.” Valen said. “What the heck is anise?” “It’s a spice, similar to what they make licorice from, but it acts like what catnip does, but for us.” “Where in the heck would I and the twins have come into contact with that?” I mused out loud. “Considering the only place we go in common is school.” Again, I mused aloud. “Don’t know, can’t help you with that, but if you do think of something, let me or the twins know.” Valen said. I nodded. Not liking the idea of linking any of them. Valen left. “I am going to have to go Chi.” ‘I know. See you tomorrow?’ “I should be able to come by again tomorrow.” ‘I will tell you what and how therapy went.’ “Ok.” I said. She waved at me, and I left and headed home.
JAYDEN: I hate how Iesha questioned if we actually cared or not. It hurts, but I get it; we did do some awful shit to her best friend. However, we are still paying for it; we are still undergoing our Wolfsbane training, and we have reached a full 2ccs of the substance. I just don’t know how much more we will have to go. I remember hearing that 5ccs could kill us. We are also continuing to work on complex strategies and math problems. And now Dad has added noise to the mix, making it even harder to concentrate. We have combat training while under the influence of the stuff as well. We are in our second round of it today. Plus, with the whole Rolan issue, and now what happened with the girls, it’s all becoming a jumbled mess in my head. I know it’s supposed to help us stay focused during a crisis, but seriously! I would rather just ship both Rolan and Hayley back to their homes. And not have to deal with either one of them, or Rolan’s bullshit, whatever he’s up to. “Jayden! F O C U S!” I hear father's voice coming from behind me. Shit. “Yes, Father.” I answered him. If he is this demanding with our wolfsbane training, I will hate to see what he is going to be like when it comes to our silver training.
CAIDEN: I wanted to ask my brother where his head was at, but I didn’t want to incur father’s wrath, so I focused on the problem in front of me. I didn’t mind the training so much; what I didn’t like was the loss of connection to my wolf. That bothered me more than anything else he put us through. I know I get it; we need to be able to handle this in case we get kidnapped or a war breaks out. Because our enemies won’t show us any mercy, so yes, I do get it. But right now, with everything that has been going on, and not having my wolf to bounce things off of, is a little disconcerting. And then having to deal with the pack’s attitude towards us doesn’t help any either. I know we did that to ourselves, what with following mother’s lead all the time instead of getting father involved; now we are paying the price for that. But we are paying, and that has to count for something with the pack. I hope they can see we stepped up and accepted responsibility for our actions. I will get a chance to actually ask him when we move into our second round of hand-to-hand combat. “Time.” Father calls out. We all take a deep breath. Our whole unit was going through this training. “Head down to the training yard.” We all, as a group, move to leave the Pack house. and head over to the training ground. “Where was your head earlier?”
