Werewolf
Falling in love with my Ex's Alpha Chapter 116
***Kaiden***
The *audacity* of this fucker!
I take my mate's hand off my waist and push her a little away. It's not safe for her to be near me now.
She'll only get hurt.
I'm sick and tired of this fucker.
Does he want a fight? He's going to have a fucking fight!
I move towards him so quickly that he can't even defend himself, I punch him in the face without caring about the strength of my hand.
His face turns to the side abruptly, and I smell his blood before I see the blood coming out of his mouth.
Katie gasps on the other side of the ring, and covers her mouth with both hands in shock, but she knows better than to interfere in this fight.
I thought Chad would flinch after my blow, but he just wiped the blood from his mouth with his hand before looking at me.
He stands there as if nothing had happened, a glint of determination in his eyes. We've made this spar before, yet this time, there's an edge in his demeanour, a blatant challenge.
Chad unleashes his relentless assault, striking with calculated ferocity, his moves executed with practiced precision.
He is strong. I can give him that.
Another time, I could be proud of him for seeing him so strong, but not today.
Today, I am blind with anger and full of his provocations.
Besides being forced to smell my mate on Jacob and Jason, now, I also smell her on him.
And his smell on her...
I'm trying to control my anger, but there's only so much I can handle.
'Kill him. He touched her,' Troy commands.
'I can't kill him, he's my brother!' I snarl.
He lunges forward, a blur of speed, aiming a series of punches towards my torso. I sidestep gracefully, evading his onslaught, my movements almost instinctive as I deflect his strikes with calculated precision.
Chad doesn't relent; he follows up with a swift kick aimed at my midsection. I pivot, dodging his attack, feeling the wind as his leg whizzes past me. As he retracts his leg, I seize the opportunity, launching a quick counterstrike.
I smirk at him as he uses this opportunity.
His response is immediate and furious. He charges, aiming a powerful overhead strike. I brace myself, meeting his force with mine. Our clash reverberates through the ring; I maintain my ground, channelling controlled strength into my defence, absorbing his blow without flinching.
Sensing an opening, Chad delivers a series of rapid jabs. I weave and dodge, each strike missing its mark by a hair's breadth. But I anticipate his rhythm; I know his pattern. With calculated precision, I seize the moment, countering his flurry of strikes with a powerful palm strike to his chest, sending him staggering backward.
But his relentless assault continues, a barrage of kicks and punches aimed at exploiting any weakness.
His attacks are relentless, fueled by his sheer determination to overpower me. But I'm an alpha for a reason—I can feel his strength, his every move, and I respond in kind.
Each blow he lands is met with a calculated but savage counter, my movements fluid, almost instinctive. He's using every ounce of his strength, every technique at his disposal, but it's not enough. I can sense his frustration mounting as his efforts fail to make a dent in my defences. The ferocity in his eyes is unmistakable; Chad's pushing me beyond our usual sparring limits, goading me to reveal my true strength.
When I remember him touching Katie's hair, it ignites something within me.
I've held back, maintained a restraint in our fights, but his relentless provocation fuels an ember of raw power within. With a subtle shift in my stance, I unveil a fraction of my true strength, a force he hasn't yet faced.
As our movements intertwine, the balance of power shifts. My strength, always a silent undercurrent in our fights, emerges with a raw force he couldn't have anticipated. My Gamma fights valiantly, his every strike infused with a desperate determination, but it's futile against my unleashed might push beyond my threshold.
The fight we've sparred countless times now takes an unexpected turn.
With a final blow, I hit the other side of his chin to match the first blow.
Jason gets in the middle of the fight to stop me from attacking Chad anymore, "Kaiden, it's over!"
"He's lucky I didn't give him what he really deserves!" I snarl.
I don't like showing my brute strength to any of my pack members because I know how powerful I am. I can kill anyone with ease.
However, *I have to remember them from time to time who the fucking Alpha is here*.
Who's really in charge of this shit!
"What I really deserve?" Chad snaps, repeating my words.
I clench my jaw, my voice even as I advance on him. "What did you fucking say?"
I'm two steps in front of him before he finally remembers his place and forces his eyes to lower. His jaw tics with the effort it takes, his fists forming and opening.
However, he submits and doesn't provoke me anymore.
I go to Katie and violently kiss her in front of him. My hand runs down her beautiful body.
Katie keeps her hands trying to stop my body from moving closer to her, but ends up giving in.
I don't care who's watching.
I'd rather they see that she's mine.
I release Katie, and she angrily heads towards her belongings before leaving the Training Center.
She looks at Chad, but it doesn't take long before she looks away; she knows better than to go to him right now.
Jacob takes his belongings, too, and then Chad joins him.
Jason and I came out last, "Don't you think you were too hard on him?"
I grunt my dissatisfaction as we walk side-by-side. I don't intend to humour his remark with a response.
"And what about that way you claimed Katie?" he teases with a smirk, looking in my direction. "Let me know next time you're going to do that little show so I can get some popcorn!"
"Enough, Jason," I tell him, aiming for a curt tone that lands somewhat off-target.
No, I can't help the corners of my mouth from turning up. I can't help the smile that wants to break through the pall of my concerns at just the thought of her. Rolling my shoulders and striding from the hall, I head off to find my human.
