My eyes widen as I take in what Dean has just said.

I'm in shock, looking at Chloe's body.

"What did you do?" I say through my teeth. "Chad, don't lie to me! You weren't here! I just watched you get here after the attack and not before," I bark at him.

We're the same height, and the way I'm squeezing his neck with my forearm, our eyes are on the same level. He can see my hate through them.

"It's not the first time I've seen something wrong with the pack's security," I continue, "however... *Katie*?"

I try to swallow the lump in my throat.

After some time looking into my eyes, he responds, "Jake... I did something really stupid," he says in a remorseful voice.

"What did you do?" I respond to him with hate, I think I'm going to kill this son of a bitch.

There are only two of us in the room, he doesn't respond, and I tighten my grip on his neck, he stops resisting as if he had accepted defeat. "I didn't know that was going to happen," Chad says. He literally just confessed that he's behind this shit.

I don't need to know anything else, I immediately release my forearm from his neck and punch him in the face, with my other arm, I throw a hook at him, and his face starts to spurt blood.

"What did you do? If I don't kill you, Kaiden will kill you when he finds out!" I scream at him and take two steps back because I can't even look at him. I'm so angry! He wipes the blood off his face with the back of his hand.

His eyes look at Chad and me, despite the wounds healing quickly, Chad's hand still has the blood that came out.

"Mindlink Kaiden immediately, tell him to come here!" I yell at him. I don't care that he's a supervisor, right now, I only care about rescuing my sister.

"What?" he reacts confused.

"Now!" I yell at him. He looks at Chad and by the guilty face he's making and his silence, Levi seems to do what I asked.

After a while, he answers, "He's already coming here. I think you better know what you're doing because the way the Alpha is, he'll take your heads off if it's not important."

It took longer than I thought for Kaiden to arrive, maybe I felt that because of my distress, cause it wasn't that long.

Minutes later, Kaiden was invading the room with Jay behind him. My mate comes towards me and holds my hand, "What happened?"

I made sure to leave Chad in his chair so he wouldn't leave the room.

I tried asking him about what he did, but every time that I tried, he didn't answer. So, I lost patience and gave up. With Kaiden here, he has no choice. He has to respond.

"Chad knows something about Katie's kidnapping!" I bark, looking at Chad. At this moment, I can't believe that this is the same Chad that I insisted Kitkatie give him a chance.

"What?" Kaiden screams, his alpha voice booming, impossible to resist, my instinct urges me to submit.
