"What?" I let go of his hand. "You've got to be kidding me, right?" I ask in disbelief.

"I would never joke about something so serious. You're going to live with me, Katherine, stop fighting," he says firmly to me.

"But-"

"You're pregnant, you're more fragile than before, I can't live apart from you anymore," he holds my face with his huge hands, "I don't want to be away from you," he whispers looking into my eyes, and then, his eyes turn cold, "you have no choice in this decision. Do I make myself clear?"

I bite my bottom lip as I think. He's not wrong, I'm going to need all the support I can now, especially since my parents aren't here.

I still need to tell them, but I'm going to wait until the baby is more grown before telling them. If I talk now, they will be very worried about me and the baby and may come to get me and take me to Three Tree. Which I doubt Kaiden would allow it.

I nod, finally accepting it. I don't want to be away from him either, I just got scared. Kaiden *always* does this, makes decisions without talking to me and throws them in my lap, just waiting for me to accept them. This is infuriating!

"Good." He says firmly and kisses my forehead.

"However, I have some conditions," I say, and Kaiden takes a deep breath, impatient with me.

"What conditions? Tell me and I'll decide whether to allow it or not," he smirks as he sits in the chair next to me.

"Well, if I'm going to live in the packhouse with you, I want some things to change," I say, and I see him going on alert.

"Like what?"

"First of all, I want Jay and Jake to live with us," he shrugs and nods, "plus I want some omegas to live there too, just like in my family's packhouse."

He takes a deep breath, "I'd rather we both live alone," he says firmly, but I put on my best puppy face. "Fine, that's all, right?" he asks impatiently.

I give him a smile. Frankly, I didn't even think he would accept all of this. He is so used to living alone in the packhouse that I thought I would receive more reluctance from him. Maybe everything that happened really made him a lot more apprehensive.

So as not to abuse him, I respond with a smile, "That's all," and kiss his hand.

He holds my face and says affectionately, "My little sun, you can do whatever you want in the packhouse; it's yours. I don't care about anything. I just want to live with you."

Damn, he knows how to take my breath away!

"I have another condition!" I tell him hesitantly, I know he won't like it.

"What?" he demands. The deep, commanding timbre of his voice rumbles through my bones and goes straight between my legs. I squeeze my thighs together to give myself relief from the throbbing ache building in my pussy.

"I want you to forgive Chad and for him to come live in the packhouse with us, too–"

"Absolutely not! Are you crazy?" He walks away from me, completely angry.

"Kaiden, I know I'm not asking you not to punish him for what he did. What I'm asking is for you to forgive him," I try to explain. He tries to cut me off, but I increase the volume of my voice a little bit, "You know he's sorry for what he did, there's no point in denying it," I say firmly to him, and when he's silent I use this clue to continue, "you're brothers, Kaiden. I'm sure you miss him just as much as he misses you. Maia is his fated mate, she's going to stay here in the pack with me until they both understand each other, if we can help them, why not do that?"

He paces back and forth in the room with his fists clenched as if he's trying to calm down. "Fine, but he won't come near you at all!"

"That works for me," when he walks within reach, I grab his hand and pull him closer to me, he comes without hesitation, "I love you, you're my fated mate. I don't want anything with Chad. What I want is to see you happy, and I know you won't be happy if you keep him out of your life!"

He takes a deep breath and says nothing, just nods in defeat.

My mate doesn't have any family other than Jay and Chad. There's no way I can cut one of the only ties that's left, I couldn't live with that. Neither he can.

"I hope I'm not interrupting anything," Jay walks through the door without knocking with a smile on his face, of course he must have heard everything and knows he interrupted, but I'm glad for that. The tension could be cut with a knife.

Kaiden kisses my forehead, "I'm going to talk to Dr Smith, and then we're going home," he says.

"Wait, wouldn't it be better if we went to my house just today? I need my things," I suggest.

He clenches his jaw, "Fine, but I'm going to sleep with you tonight," he says, heading towards the door.

"That's what I hope," I say with a small smile at him, and he growls before closing the door.

"How are you, little Luna?" Jay asks me as he sits in the next chair, he already came to visit me earlier.

"Better," I reply, and he gives me an inquisitive look, "I swear! I'm better!" he nods as if deciding to accept my answer, "did you hear everything? We're going to live in the packhouse!" I say with a smile on my face, I'm excited about this despite being taken by surprise.

"I heard part of it, I don't even know how Kaiden accepted it. You know... he likes his privacy," Jay says with an incredulous look on his face.

"Where's Jake?" I ask, Jake was supposed to be with Jay.

"He's in a room with a little girl who was rescued. I was solving some problems with the pack, so I can't stay her," he says, and I get confused.

"What do you mean? Why is he there?"

"Uhmm... So, after the rescue, she apparently can't be close to anyone, just Jake and me. She's quite traumatized," he says angrily, "she can't even accept help from doctors or nurses, so if Jake isn't staying by her side, I need to be; she can't be alone."

My heart sinks knowing this, and suddenly, my thoughts return to the terror I went through, "Wait, is that a little girl around six years old, brown hair?" I ask him.

"Yes, yes she is, but she said she is 8 years old, did you meet her while you were there?" he asks anxiously and even though I don't want to remember everything I went through, I tell him everything. I told him when the little girl was thrown into my room, I tried to avoid all the details to spare him because he started to get more and more angry, but he insisted that I tell him everything again, with all the details. It hurt me to remember, but I told him everything.

I also told him about my gift and how I healed Kaiden and her. I trust Jay as much as I trust Jake; he needed to know that. To my surprise, he said he suspected something was wrong but was waiting for Kaiden or me to explain it to him.

I've never seen Jay so angry, "I swear, I'll kill those rogues in the worst way possible," he promises as he wipes the tears from his face. "I'm sorry about everything, little Luna," he looks at me sadly.

"I'm glad she trusts you," I hold his hand.

He smiles, "she's much healthier than you, thank you for healing her," he says, stroking my hand.

"She's going home with us, right?" he smiles and nods, and immediately, the smile leaves his face at my next question, "How is Chad?"

He stays silent before answering, "To be honest with you, he's not okay," he says firmly, "Kaiden is still going to punish him, but he already has the biggest punishment... I don't know if he'll be able to forgive himself," he declares. "*I* still haven't forgiven what he did."

"I know... did you hear what I asked Kaiden?" I ask hesitantly.

"Yes... I think you did good," he smiles at me, "again, I still haven't forgiven him, but he... he's my brother. I'd feel awful if something happened to him. Ugh, I love him as much as I love Kaiden... it was hard to believe he did all this. It's going to be hard not having him as Gamma anymore," Jay confesses.

"I can imagine... has Kaiden decided who will be the next Gamma?"

"Yes, he not only decided but already decreed," he replies.

"Who is the new Gamma?"

"Isabel," he says.
