My little sun immediately hops out of my car, eager to to see what's happening. She steps onto the sidewalk, blinking in the soft, golden light of the late afternoon sun.

Her eyes quickly scan the interaction between Char and her possible mate.

As if drawn by some invisible force, Char's gaze locks onto the man next to the arch.

I watch as her expression changes from one of casual interest to one of sheer captivation. It's as if time slows down for her, and for a moment, the world fades into the background.

The man, standing on the sidewalk, has seemingly captured Char's heart in an instant. His expression of devotion to Char confirms that she is indeed his fated mate.

He's tall and muscular, with striking features and a confident demeanor. His ginger hair ruffles in the gentle breeze, his hair is a little darker than Katie's hair. Other than that, he bears little resemblance to Katie.

Char's lips part slightly, and she takes a few steps closer to him, completely oblivious to the rest of us.

I exchange puzzled glances with Jason and Jacob, who are still in the car. None of us anticipated this sudden infatuation, especially in the midst of our eventful journey.

As Char and the man get even closer to each other, their eyes meet, and there's an unmistakable spark of connection.

"Mate," the two of them say at the same time before kissing.

'It was supposed to be like that the first time I saw my mate,' Troy growls in my mind, and I roll my eyes.

For fuck's sake, won't he ever forget?

And then, their kiss starts to become more aggressive, desperate.

Char is older than Jason, she has been waiting to find her mate for many years.

I understand her desperation.

Jason watches them in bemusement as we get out of the car.

And then, my mate clears her throat to get their attention, her face is red from blushing, as they are almost taking each other's clothes off.

It takes them a while to release the kiss, but eventually, they stop scenting each other and look at Katie at the same time, still hugging.

Katie clears her throat again before trying to engage them in conversation. "Well, Dustin, this is Char, my friend from Diamond Claw," she says, pointing at Char with her hand, "Char," she holds her breath before speaking again, "this is Dustin, my older brother. Welcome to the family!" She says the last sentence excitedly with a little jump.

Char and Dustin smile and hug her at the same time, each on one side of her. "Oh, guys, I'm so happy for you," she says in a thrilled voice, but I can barely see her because they are both much bigger than my little human.

"That way, you're going to suffocate her," Jason says, going over to them to help Katie, and she giggles.

They let go of her, and they immediately go back to kissing. "Hmm, well... This is Jason, Char's little brother," Katie says as they kiss wildly.

"If Char remembers that she has a brother now," Jason says, shaking his head but with a smile on his face.

Dustin stops kissing Char, and he turns to shake Jason's hand, but Jason pulls him into a hug, "Nice to meet you, brother-in-law," Dustin says, and Char's eyes shine even brighter looking at him.

"Okay, I'm going to go home, and we'll do all the presentations there, okay?" Katie says in a hurry, getting back to the car.

It was just me left for her to introduce to him. Why doesn't she introduce me straight away?

She looks at me and shakes her head, and I grimace. But I don't say anything, I go back and get in my car while I wait for everyone to get in.

"Dustin, let go of Char. She's tired from the trip. You still have your whole life ahead of you," Katie says from the car window, rushing Char while Jason and Jacob get into the car.

Char lets go of Dustin's lips and says, with a little blushing, "Actually... I'll meet you guys later..." She smiles at Katie, and Dustin instantly pulls her towards the forest.

"Can you believe that? Jay, who would have imagined your sister would be my brother's fated mate?" Katie says excitedly, "I feel like I won the lottery."

"Your pack actually won the lottery. Char is an excellent warrior. I lost a valuable member of my pack. Fuck!" I say angrily.

Char will definitely become Luna in Katie's pack since Katie only has one older brother, and with that, I will lose a valuable member of my pack.

The worst part of all is that I had already offered her the Gamma position, and she didn't want it. At the time, she said she needed to take care of Jason. Now that I could offer it to her again, she became Luna from another pack.

I can't catch a break!

The atmosphere in the car becomes tense with my sudden outburst. "Do you think she'll want to... come to your pack right away, Katie?" Jason asks a little sadly.

"I don't know... Jay, but this has become your home now, too. You can come whenever you want!" Katie tries to comfort him.

"Thanks, little Luna," Jason responds, a little shaken, and I try to follow Katie's instructions to get to her house.

I park where Katie tells me to park, and Katie gets out of the car like it's on fire.

"Katie! You're here!" A short lady with white hair hugs Katie as she runs up to her.

"I miss you, Beth!" My little sun says, squeezing her. I can't help but think that she brings happiness wherever she goes.

"Your parents will be here soon, they miss you!" She hugs Jacob next, "You brought your little friends," she points at the two of us.

"Hmm... Beth, this is Jason and Alpha Kaiden," she says, and the lady immediately widens her eyes at me but then squeezes our hands.

"Let's go in. You must be tired from the trip!"

"Yes, a lot!" Katie groans.

"I'll get someone to take your bags," Beth says and disappears into the packhouse.

"I'll show Jay his room while you show Kaiden's," Jacob says, and he enters a wing of the mansion accompanied by Jason.

And I hear Jason saying before he disappears, too. "You didn't tell me you were rich! I'll never have to work again!"

Katie laughs and holds my hand, "Come on, I'll show you your room."

"My room will be your room," I say, and she blushes immediately.

"Keep it down. No one knows yet!" She looks at me with wide eyes and says in a whisper.

Then, we started climbing an endless staircase. After three flights of stairs and turning the corner, I don't know how many times, she finally directs me to a room.

"This room will be yours... I chose one close to mine..." She says shyly, blushing down to her neck, "my room is right there. I did good?" she points to a door not so far away.

"Good girl," I say as I smirk at her. "Yes, you did good." I praise her for thinking of me. She bites her lower lip upon hearing my words, and then I scent her sweet aroused.

Yes. My little sun likes it when I tell her how much she is my good girl.

She smiles a little shyly.

Ugh, why so cute?

I pull her into my arms and kiss her, "Such a sweet girl. I can't wait to taste your sweet taste, just the sweet scent of your aroused is not enough."

"Kaiden!" She scolds me, "someone can hear you," she says, but I can only pay attention to her adorable doe eyes. Even though tired, she is still insanely beautiful.

"If you behave when I'm telling my parents, later I can pay a visit to your room," she says softly, whispering in my ear.

"Is that a touch of bribery I hear?" I say, looking into her beautiful eyes, unable to contain my damn smile.

She giggles and kisses me back, "I need to get my phone from the car! I forgot it there," she says.

"Come on, I'll go with you," I say and give her my hand to hold as she heads in the direction we came, but she doesn't see it and doesn't hold on.

She keeps looking straight ahead as she speaks as if it's nothing, "I need to text Chad to let him know I've arrived. He's always worried."

I take a deep breath, so I don't fight over him again. "Chad isn't going to die if he doesn't hear from you for two minutes," I say furiously but try to control my tone.

"Kaiden, I promised him I would let him know when I arrived, he already sent me several messages that I forgot to reply to during the trip."

Was she talking to him all this time?

What the fuck?

I can't contain myself. I hear some voices near us, and I know that her parents are nearby because they are talking about her.

"You know that your fated mate is me, not him, right?" I shout to her, and I know they will hear us.

They immediately enter the room as we are walking towards the exit, and Katie stands frozen, looking at them without knowing what to do.
