Werewolf
Falling in love with my Ex's Alpha Chapter 218: Book 2 - Chapter 51
***The Deceiver***
The yellowish and orange leaves of the fall change the entire landscape of the forest around *my* pack.
The day started cloudy, but it couldn’t have started better.
Seemingly, Lexi and Nox got into a fight. He’s been missing for a few days now, and when I asked Lexi about him, she told me he won’t be around anymore.
Finally, she seems to have woken up and realized that he is not enough for her. I’m better for her than he will ever be.
I keep walking towards the house we are in, I wish we were already living in my packhouse, but Lexi doesn’t want to live there yet. I didn’t insist because if I want to win her, I need to be very careful.
Lexi doesn’t spend much time around Rose and me. She’d rather be alone in the place where Letum made the Moon Goddess statue.
I tried to go there and talk to her, but she always growled me away from her.
I’m going to give her the time she needs because, in the end, she’ll be mine anyway.
Not even if I had planned all along Nox’s disappearance, it would have turned out as perfect as this because right now, Lexi is so fucking angry with him that I’m sure even if the fucker showed up here, she would be capable of killing him herself.
It was for this reason that I decided not to go after him and leave him alive because, for me, it would be a much sweeter revenge if Lexi ended up killing that motherfucker.
However, for Lexi to be mine, I need to get rid of some obstacles.
I feel my mate’s presence behind me. She thinks I don’t know that she’s been following me. Such an idiot!
Instead of continuing in the direction I was going, I stop abruptly and start running towards my mate.
She tries to hide when she sees me coming towards her. This slut thinks she’s smart, but she’s fucking stupid.
I start running even faster, and she tries to run away from me until she gets close to the pack’s border and she finds herself trapped between huge rocks and forest trees.
“Wait, baby,” Rose says when she can’t find a place to hide.
“What did you see?” I ask fiercely. Depending on her response, anything could happen.
“I didn’t see anything, I swear—”
I advance towards her, grab her neck, and press her hard against the tree behind her. Rose’s face turns almost purple without air, and her eyes widen. She tries to loosen my strong grip on her neck, digging her nails into my wrist and hand until they tear my skin.
“N-Nigel!”
“What did you see?” I ask, baring my teeth.
She rolls her eyes breathlessly, almost dying. She tries to hit me with her legs, but it’s in vain. She’s too weak.
I release my grip on her neck, and she starts coughing and breathing heavily the air into her lungs. She steps aside, away from me.
“How long have you been following me?”
Leaning over with one hand stroking her throat and the other one resting on her knee, she speaks after she can breathe properly, “How c-could you, Nigel?”
“Did you hear everything?” I say, reaching for her again.
“It’s just a baby! How can you ask those rogues to attack Alexa? What if she ends up dying along with the baby?” she says between heavy breaths.
“Since when do you care? As far as I know, you hate Lexi!” I snarl.
“I don’t like Alexa, but I don’t want her baby or her dead. She’s my Alpha, Nigel!”
I frown. “You shouldn’t have followed me,” I warn her.
She opens her eyes wide. I can feel the ridiculous fear of this slut through our mate bond.
Fuck. Why did I have to have such a cowardly fated mate? She’s good for anything! Rose is so useless!
I wanted Lexi to be my fated mate. But it’s okay. When I’m done with Rose, Lexi will be my second chance. She will be my chosen mate.
“You still got some time to ask them to cancel the attack, Nigel! It doesn’t have to be like this,” Rose pleads.
I open a wicked grin. “You’re so fucking stupid. Do you really think I’m going to do that? Just because you are asking me?” I shake my head. “After they killed the bastard in her belly, she won’t have any ties to that fucker anymore!”
“What do you mean by that? What about me?” she asks innocently. Rose is so stupid that, not even listening to my conversation with the rogues, she realizes that she has no future with me.
My wicked smile widens. “Do you really think I want you as my fated mate?” I scoff.
She throws her shoulders back, standing up straight. “I’m going to tell Alexa what you’re planning. I may not be able to fight against you, but she will. She’ll never want you! She’ll never accept you! You’re not going to kill her baby! Her baby will be the future heir to our pack!” She challenges, unaware of the danger that awaits her.
My frown at her only worsens. She starts walking backward, looking at me. “You know what? I was just going to reject you, but now,” I give her an evil smile.
“No! Nige, please!” she shakes her head. “Don’t do that,” she begs.
Abruptly, she starts running towards where Lexi is. We are too far away for her to talk to Lexi via mindlink. I was sure of that.
At the same time, I move towards her and again hold her neck, but this time, I knock her to the ground and straddle her chest.
“Ni-Nigel—” she coughs into my firm grip breathlessly.
“Give up being a member of this pack right now!” I shout at her. Rose manages to shake her head even with my firm grip on her neck.
“No—”
“Give up immediately, Rose!” I repeat, interrupting her.
Rose needs to give up being a member of the pack before I kill her, or Lexi will feel when she dies. Especially now that Lexi is so close to where we are.
“Please, Nigel! I-I’m begging you—”
I growl at her. With one hand, I squeeze her neck, and with the other, I shove at her hair tight.
Immediately, she begins to comply and begins reciting her resignation from being a member of the pack. At the same time, I loosen my grip on her neck just enough so she can speak.
My smile of victory only grows with every word she says. “Now that you’re no longer part of *my* pack,” my wicked smile makes the tears come out of her eyes more quickly. “I can reject you before I kill you. It was good while it lasted, Rose. You served your purpose as my slut. But you are good for nothing besides that. I deserve to have an Alpha female like Lexi as my chosen mate and not with a worthless omega.”
“Please, Nigel, don’t d-do that!”
Rose begs, but it’s too late. I reject her quickly so I can’t suffer feeling her die. The pain in my chest is enormous, but the pain she’s feeling beneath me is worse, hearing me reject her and repeating my words.
When I feel our mate bond come undone and see that the mark I made on her neck is gone, I turn her head away from her body sharply with both my hands, breaking her neck.
She’s so dumb that during this whole time, at no point she thought about shifting and trying to fight me. Not that she would have the slightest chance, though.
I was just going to reject her, but she poked her nose into what wasn’t called and found out everything.
Now I had to kill her.
That’s okay. I was already thinking about getting rid of her, it was necessary before Lexi chose me as her chosen mate. I know she will!
I drag Rose’s body away from the pack. I have to bury her in a place where no one can find her. Fuck! Even after she’s dead, this slut gives is still a pain in my ass! I should have rejected her at first sight.
At least everything is going according to my plan.
I got rid of the useless members of my pack.
Lexi got rid of her fucker fated mate, and I hope he disappeared forever.
I got rid of my useless fated mate.
And now I just need to disappear so there won’t be anyone here in the pack to defend Lexi when the rogues arrive to kill the useless bastard inside her belly.
