Werewolf
Falling in love with my Ex's Alpha Chapter 205: Book 2 - Chapter 38
Since we arrived yesterday, I have yet to see Dana or Kyrie. The two practically didn’t leave their bedroom. I left them a plate with food near their bedroom door when Lucy told me they hadn’t eaten anything.
This fucking girl! Lucy won’t stop hitting on me. I’ve already ignored her, stayed away, and pretended to be sleeping, and even then, she insists on disturbing me.
I barely had time to finish the two bracelets I made because she kept interrupting me.
After we arrived, Dana went straight to Kyrie, and I went directly to talk to Beta since Alpha wasn’t present. Nigel wasn’t in control of the pack this time, Beta said he had gone hunting.
On the way here, Dana and I discussed whether to talk about Nox with Alpha, and we decided that it’s better to let Lexi talk about Nox and their mate bond. We decided to just refer to him by his nickname, Prince, as some of the pack members who were here when he came to the central cave had seen him.
I informed Beta everything I could about the progress of the new territory. Then he told me to rest and eat something, and so I did.
Now I am nervous. I don’t know why I decided to make these two bracelets.
This is silly. They will laugh at me.
The two bracelets have similar adornments; although one is a little thicker than the other, both are delicate.
They both wear these pendants I carved. One pendant is shaped like the waxing crescent moon, while the other resembles the moon during its waxing gibbous phase.
I admire them in the palm of my hand. I don’t want to brag, but these are the most beautiful bracelets I’ve made so far. I hope they like it.
“Oh, my Goddess! They are so beautiful. Can I have one?” Lucy says from my side, reaching her hand to touch the bracelets.
I quickly close my hand with the bracelets inside and shove my hand into my pants pocket, trying to get as far out of her reach as possible.
I grunt before responding, “No.”
“So, can you make one for me?” she asks as she batting her eyelashes, sitting next to me, lowering her shirt slightly so her breasts can pop out.
Nice tits, but she’s too bad news for me to have anything with her.
When she realizes that I purposely ignored her question, she asks without a hint of shame, “Letum, you don’t have a fated mate. Have you ever thought about having a chosen mate?”
Is she serious?
I don’t even bother answering. I just get up and walk away from her.
Maybe this was the push I needed to give them the bracelets.
“Letum! I’m talking to you,” she shouts after me.
I look back at her with a glare. She immediately takes a step back and runs away.
I continue my way towards their room.
I feel the bracelets with my fingers as I brush them inside my pocket, walking. Fuck, you know what? I changed my mind. They’re going to hate this.
I was about to go back, but Dana appears at the ‘door’ of her bedroom; it’s not really a door, but it’s the closest thing to something that covers her room enough to be private.
“Letum? Did something happen?” She asks, “I smelled you approaching.”
I look at her for a few seconds. Fuck, it’s now or never.
Before I can respond, Kyrie shouts excitedly from inside the room, “Letum, is that you?”
Dana and I both smiled at the same time. “Come on in,” Dana beckons me with her hand to enter the room before entering it.
I take a deep breath and follow her into the room.
Dana is sitting on the bed, and Kyrie comes towards me and hugs me. Her sweet smell invades my senses, making me feel good instantly. “I missed you,” she says.
I can’t stand a lot of people, and I definitely don’t care enough to talk to anyone or change that. There are a few people I feel comfortable talking to, though.
Fuck, *few people* still seem like many people for the amount they really are. In addition to Lexi, Dana, and now Nox, Kyrie is part of this small group.
The way I met Kyrie could not have been more traumatic. Where she lived before had been invaded by rogues, they killed and raped several people from her clan. She was so young and fragile; she was no more than seventeen at that time.
I pulled the rogue that was trying to rape her off of her with all the strength I had. She was in shock and sobbing. The terror in her eyes haunts my nightmares even now, lingering vividly in my memory.
However, I always try to think about her demeanor, which changed instantly when she saw Dana; their faces lit up in a way that made it seem like there were only the two of them at that moment.
I try to think about their happiness whenever I have a nightmare about Kyrie’s frightened face that day.
“How are you?” I ask her when she lets go of my hug and walks over to Dana.
“I’m much better now that you’ve arrived.”
*You?*
No... She must be saying that innocently. Not in the way I’m thinking.
My eyes glance at Dana. She has a small smile on her face as if she noticed the way Kyrie spoke, too. But of course, she didn't say that deliberately.
“I made this for you,” I suddenly blurt out as I take my hand out of my pocket and open my hand to show them the bracelets.
They both get a little scared, as if I were pulling a bomb out of my pants. I feel pathetic.
Dana gets up just as quickly as Kyrie, and they both come near to my open hand. “Wow! They’re beautiful!” Dana says with a smile on her face.
“I’ve never seen bracelets as beautiful as these!” Kyrie speaks, lifting the thinnest bracelet with the moon in its waning crescent phase as a charm.
“Oh, my Goddess! Look at these charms! They are so delicate, I love them!” Dana says excitedly.
“Look! They fit in with each other!” Kyrie places her pendant next to the pendant on the bracelet that Dana is admiring.
I open an involuntary smile. I didn’t expect them to like it. I thought they would think it was stupid.
“Wow, Letum, did you make them? I’m impressed!” Dana says in awe.
“Yes.” Suddenly, I felt shy, but I asked them, “Do you want me to help you put it on?”
“Yes!” both of them answer me at the same time with a big smile.
I gently clasps the bracelet around Kyrie’s wrist, adjusting it for the perfect fit, and then I do the same with Dana.
“It fits perfectly. Thank you, Letum! I love it!” Dana says and hugs me.
“Thank you so much. It’s lovely!” Kyrie says almost at the same time and hugs me after Dana lets me go.
The atmosphere was great. Happy. But out of nowhere, something changes.
Dana and Kyrie look at each other, and they seem to communicate silently through their eyes. I feel uncomfortable being here, like I’m bothering them now. I already did what I wanted to do, which was give them the bracelets. I need to read the room and leave them alone.
Dana affectionately holds Kyrie’s hand and guides her towards me, ending the distance between the three of us.
Kyrie’s eyes leave Dana and hover over me. She bites and releases her lower lip, and my eyes vehemently follow her entire movement.
Before I know what’s happening, Dana puts her hand gently on the back of Kyrie’s head and guides her mouth to mine.
Kyrie gives me a mischievous look before planting a surprise kiss on me.
