ALANA

Just as William promised, he brought me to the dormitory himself before night fell but I did not let him come in because the guards were at the entrance ready to stop him.

As much as possible, I would not like to see any scuffle involving William now that we are down to the series of last tests to have the right to call myself his future wife and luna.

“I’ll wait for you in the cabin tomorrow,” he whispered in my ear in high spirits, the smile in his face stretching from his mouth to his ears.

I giggled as my cheeks burned remembering how he took me over and over again without caring how others might hear us from outside his room.

We stopped by a few meters from the dormitory while we were both tightly clasping each other’s hands.

“Please, take care of your health for me, okay?” I asked him dearly. “Prioritize yourself. Don’t always worry about me because I am a strong person now, William. You made me strong enough to face all these.”

He kissed my head and nodded at me. “I promised you that I will take care of the rest of the tests, Alana. I gave you my word and there is no way I’m turning my back on it.”

I just smiled at him and nodded. “Thank you, William.”

We kissed each other passionately for the last time before he reluctantly let me go. He’s staying under the shade of a tree in front of the dormitory while following me with his gaze as I crossed the road and entered the main gate.

Before fully coming in, I turned my back at him, waved my hands at him to which he answered by waving back and giving me a flying kiss.

Smiling with an overflowing happiness in my heart, I entered the dormitory and silently walked towards my room only to stop in my tracks when I saw Sophia leaning on the wall waiting for me.

She stared at me with all the hate in her heart and arched her brows at me.

“Are you enjoying it? Are you happy doing the hell what you’re doing with the alpha prince knowing he’s mine to begin with?!”

I chuckled at her desperation. Only Sophia could really claim the most outrageous things in the world.

Crossing my arms, I just walked past her to go to my room. She is not going to ruin my happiness for today. I have the power to not entertain her wild assumptions.

“Where are you going?!” She pulled at my hair and pinned me to the wall. “Alana, no one dares to turn their back at me while I am talking to them! And certainly, I do not expect that coming from the girl who eats my scraps from the floor!”

I pushed her back away and caught her arm to twist it slowly until I saw her eyes welled with tears from the pain.

“Sophia, you should accept by now that the woman you still considered the inferior one is no longer alive. I am no longer the Alana you know. Do not be hung up on the kind of person that you conjured me in your head because I am already past that.”

I took her other arm and twisted it in the same kind of way. Moaning in pain, she gasped but did not say anything.

“Sophia, I haven’t forgotten and forgiven you for all that you did to me including your mother and father. I am still yet to ask for the debts you owe me so if I were you, I would just behave and shut my ugly little mouth up. Do not trigger me anymore because I can really fight back and when I fight back, I will make sure that I will send you to hell myself. You understand me?”

I released her from my grip and stepped back as she composed herself and wiped the tears from her face. She looked disturbed and scared because of the kind of courage I displayed today.

“You will never be the wife of the alpha prince, Alana! You will never win the contests! I swear, I will never let that happen!” she shouted while continuing to brush the tears on her face away.

I just shrugged and opened my room and entered. I turned the switch on but before my hand could find it, I froze in my place when I felt that scent inside my room.

What is he doing here?!

Panicking, I reached for the door now to escape but it was already too late. His hands already gripped my shoulders and kept me in place as I felt his face quickly leaning into my neck.

My eyes widened when I realized what he’s going to do. “No!” I screamed and fought him but I was too late again.

Lucas' teeth already sank into my neck, biting me and putting his mark on me.

“No… No!”

I kept on pushing and kicking him away but he was too strong for me. My body is not even fighting him off, only my heart and mind that belonged to William.

He turned the lights on right after his mouth left my neck. Squeezing my chin, he smiled at me while staring at my neck.

“You belonged to me now, Alana. I don’t think you will ever have the courage to let the alpha prince see that you have been marked by another man.”

Stepping back, he just watched me cry my eyes out helplessly.

“Good luck on the next test, my mate.”

He left my room and left me completely empty inside. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what to feel!

I feel disgusted all over!

A knock on the door startled me from staring blankly into the window. “Ms. Alana, the next test is about to start.”

Heartbroken and reduced to tears, I stood up from my bed and looked at myself in the mirror, seeing the mark of Lucas in my neck.

“Ms. Alana?” the guard called again.

“Y-yes!” I answered, swallowing the tears in my mouth. “I am coming.”
