The Alpha Prince's Abused Mate Chapter 192
ALANA
Warm arms enveloped me from the back as his scent embraced me.
“What are you thinking? Hmm?” William asked, nuzzling his nose against my bare shoulder.
I was on the balcony, enjoying the fresh breeze on a full moon night, my mind wandering towards Francine.
After William came back to life, the alpha king and the queen luna threw a feast which was still ongoing in the entire palace while William chose to pull me into his room to have his own sweet wicked ways on me.
Not that I am complaining though. This is what I want. To be with him and to savor each second of our lives together.
I intertwined our fingers on my stomach and tilted my head to my side, leaning into his chest on my back to give his mouth a better access to my neck.
Love making is not painful anymore and the remnant of the monster inside me is almost gone, especially when I am in William’s arms. Controlling anger seems to be easier now. The feeling of seeing red in my eyes is also gone now.
Everything seemed to be falling in its rightful places now that his apparent death seemed to be just a case of a really bad nightmare for the both of us.
We did not talk about it yet but I know we are headed that way. For now, we just want to be drowned with each other’s warmth and scent.
Closing my eyes and enjoying his tiny little kisses, I answered him softly.
“I’m thinking how lucky I am to be your mate.” I turned slightly to the side so I could meet his deep-seated eyes. “I’m deeply thinking how grateful I am to share this lifetime with you.”
My eyes welled with tears while thinking about his death. Crap! That memory will never be forgotten. It will haunt me forever until the end of times.
Caressing his cheek, I closed my eyes and kissed him passionately. “I will do everything to continue to be deserving of you, my love. I am the luckiest woman in this world to be fatefully loved by you.”
The smile in his eyes disappeared and a look of disapproval washed over him.
“Nah, what are you saying?” He carefully turned me around the mirror to the side while he’s kissing the outline of my jaw. “I’m luckier to deserve someone like you. I mean, you are practically a goddess. The moon goddess must have thought my visuals to be inferior so she gave me you to ensure that my kids will be the most beautiful and handsome in the whole world.”
Crunching my nose, I slapped his thigh playfully. “What are you saying?”
Turning around, I cupped his face with my hands and gave him a peck on the lips. “Are you telling me that this one-of-a-kind face is just ordinary?”
Pouting my lips, I shook my head. “No, I am not going to believe that. You are the most handsome, the hottest, the most intelligent man I have ever known.”
Grinning from ear to ear, he nodded affirming what I just said. “You are right that is why I am luckier.”
But he quickly shut up when I glared at him. “No, what I am just saying is that…”
“Oh, shut up. Between the two of us, I am just the luckiest,” I still insisted.
William erupted into a hearty laugh, pulling me back into his arms.
“Okay, can we both just come to the conclusion that we both are indeed lucky to have each other?”
I nodded, placing my chin on his chest while looking up at him. “Okay.”
We fell silent, our eyes doing the communication while the cheers below us continued.
“But I am telling you, I am really luckier,” he whispered afterwards. “You made me whole, Alana. I told myself that I will always be there to save you but you saved me more than you can imagine.”
My tears fell. “I miss you so much, William,” I said, my voice breaking. “I will forever be thankful for you, for all that you are to me. Nothing… no one can separate you from me.”
Instead of replying, he just lifted me from the floor and before I knew it, he already jumped from the balcony down into the backyard where people are dancing and drinking their lives away.
Squeaking, I cannot help but just hug him even tighter as we land on the ground.
The music playing is too infectious and before I knew it, William already began dancing to my surprise.
And the man knows how to dance!
“You know how to fucking dance!” I said in shock. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Don’t worry, my love. I will patiently show you all the skills that I have gathered,” he whispered in my ear, “in the confines of our privacy, of course.”
I just pinched his side to his loud laughter.
We twirled around, danced up to our heart’s content, and interacted with the people around us who were too happy to see us together.
The music changed into a mellow one and couples started to sway with the sound.
William, with his eyes on me, pulled me closer to him. Caressing my head gently, I could only close my eyes and bury my face into his chest, tears flowing down my eyes.
“It’s alright,” he said, patting my back. “I missed her too, Alana.”
My shoulders shook when he said that. I knew it! He remembered Francine too just like me.
“We are not going to forget her, ever,” he continued. “We are the only ones that remembered her now. She told me to be happy together. She told me that she’s thankful for you for being brave.”
He kissed my head and continued comforting me. Francine’s disappearance also meant that my identity and ties with my family are gone so I would live in a clean slate starting now.
“Yes, William. We are not going to forget Francine. And we are going to live happily.”
I lifted my head to him and he met my lips halfway.
In the middle of the festivities, in the bright flickering lights, under the moonlight above us, William melted my fears away.
