The Alpha Prince's Abused Mate Chapter 81
ALANA
Just as Cain directed, I was put in the cargo area of the plane with guards heavily surrounding me.
I was bound by tires that cut through my skin, gagged so I could not make a sound, and blindfolded so I could not see anything.
Nobody was allowed to come near me, not even Francine or Lucas.
“At least cut those strings from her! Alana will not fight you. Do you think the alpha prince will like to hear about how you mistreat his most favorite person?”
I heard Lucas say to the guards.
“I’m sorry beta but we are doing this under the order of the alpha king carried out by Cain. We cannot do anything unfortunately,” the guard replied.
“The alpha king did not order you to treat the ambassadress this way.” I heard Francine’s voice. “We will not come near her but at least let her skin breathe. She is a friend of the alpha prince for a reason. We will not leave until you do that.”
I felt someone cutting through the tires letting my wounds bleed through.
“We have done what you wanted. You must do what you promised.”
I sensed their scents leaving the place making me cry more. I felt so cold, so empty and sad inside while the memory of me shooting William persisted in my mind.
“Why did I do that to him? Why can’t I control my fingers at that time?”
We landed a few hours after and I was dragged out in the same manner that I was yanked inside and was thrown into the cell in the basement of the palace.
They did not give me anything to eat or drink for the whole day but I am already used to eating and drinking nothing so it doesn’t really make a difference anymore.
I wiped off the blood and tears from my face and scanned the whole cage. It does not really look as bad as my former prison.
Here I am again. I’m back being locked for exactly different reasons. This time, my heart is heavier because I know it’s really my fault.
I deserve more than this because of what I did to William.
“Open the door now. I have the permit from the alpha king.”
I jumped up into my feet from being curled in the corner when I heard the locks being unchained and I smelled Francine’s scent.
“Francine!” I called upon her name as she gently hugged me tightly. “Thank god you are here. Francine, tell me how the alpha prince is doing. Please, tell me he’s doing fine,” I begged her while waiting for her answer with bated breath.
William should have woken up by now. He should be fine because I don’t know what I am going to do if he is not.
Francine brushed away the strands from my face and nodded at me. “He is fine now Allana but he still hasn’t woken up.”
I gasped and slowly fell to my knees in too much guilt. William hasn’t woken up which means he must be in grave danger.
“Come on,” she pulled me up gently and made me sit down on the corner as she sat in front of me taking out the container she’s carrying. “You have to eat food and drink water. They will not give you anything here.”
She started feeding me carefully while my tears kept on falling.
“Why are you still kind to me, Francine? I shot the alpha prince. You saw that so you should hate me now. I am the reason why William is suffering right now,” I said in between swallowing the food and gasping for breath.
She just smiled at me before pinching my nose that had turned too pink from crying too much. “Are you silly? How can I hate you when you are the alpha prince’ mate? You are the future queen luna of this capital, Alana. You are the kindest, sweetest, and the most innocent girl I have ever met. And William cares for you so much so there is no way I can hate you.”
She offered me another spoonful of meat. “Open wide, please.”
I finished all the food she brought despite my refusal. In the end, she still won over me with her convincing skills.
“Tell me, Alana. What really happened out there?” she asked me while putting ointment on my wounds.
She said that William will be more than upset to see any untoward mark on my skin so I should just let her treat me. At first, I refused but I guess no one can really say no to Francine.
I bit off my nails. “It’s all my fault, Francine. I felt something hit my head and all I could see was blood in my hands. And then I saw monsters in front of me. I heard William call me and his voice made all those thoughts go away but then I cannot control my hands anymore and in the end…” I sighed when I remembered it all again, “I shot him.”
Francine paused and thought deeply for a while. “So, you do not intend to shoot him at all? You cannot just control your hands?”
I stared at my hands that were covered by the white stuff from the medicine. “Yes, I do not really mean to do what I did but it already happened, Francine. I already shot William.”
She stood up after cleaning up the containers. “I will be back later for you. Just hang in here, okay? Lucas is doing all he can to plead with the alpha king to free you.”
“He doesn’t have to do that Francine because I deserve to be here. I was the one who did that to William. I shot him, Francine. I attempted to kill my own mate.”
She tousled my hair before cupping my face. “I know you did not mean it, Alana. You love William too much to have the intent of killing him. Aside from that, you are his mate. It does not make sense if you try to kill him.”
She left after a while leaving me with another thing to ponder about.
An hour later, the door clang opened again propelling me to stand up again. “Francine? Is that you again?”
But the silhouette of the person who came inside did not resemble Francine anymore.
“Hello, ambassadress,” the man said and smiled at me a little too widely.
“Cain…” I whispered as I stepped back.
The alpha prince’s cousin locked the door behind him and began stalking me up with a grin on his face. “Hello there, the alpha prince’s mate.”
