The Alpha Prince's Abused Mate Chapter 195
ALANA
I am tightly clutching the hem of my white wedding dress in front of the mirror staring at my own reflection.
A woman of substance full of happiness and fulfillment stared right back.
Lifting a finger, I caressed the reflection and smiled at myself. “You have come a really long way, Alana. Tonight, your dream will happen. William is really going to make true of his promise.
Before his proposal, we had traveled the world together seeing things and places that he wanted to let me witness. Every word that he told me he would, he did for me.
“Mother, father, I just wish you were here with me to see how happy I am,” I wished and hugged myself. “I wish you were here with me to walk me down the aisle to be married into the most wonderful man in the state.”
As if on cue, a gust of wind blew and hugged me right then and there.
I closed my eyes and savored the sensation. The wind whispered love and sadness but the love overrode the other.
“We are so proud of you, our daughter,” said the combination of the voices in my head. “We saw everything and we are entrusting you to William. Don’t worry, Francine told us everything.”
I cannot help but shed tears when I heard that.
For days, I have been thinking about my parents wondering where they are now, if they are with each other or not.
But I am happier now because they are indeed together in the end with Francine.
What more can I wish for now?
“Ms. Alana, please it’s time, our lady,” my staff said and held out her hand for me.
With one last look of myself at the mirror, I accepted her hand and went out of the room.
Gasps from the ladies in the hallway greeted me the second they saw me.
“Ms. Alana, you are so so beautiful!” they all said in unison. “You are the prettiest shining bride we have ever seen!”
“Thank you so much,” I replied and blushed a little.
The orchestra started playing and I started walking towards my soon-to-be-husband who’s been waiting for me at the altar.
My heart skipped a beat when I glanced at him and saw how magnificently handsome he is. Our eyes locked and smiles etched in our faces.
My hand trembled in excitement so I needed to take a long breath to pacify my nerves because if I don’t, I might run towards his arms in an instant.
That would be something that this palace has never seen for a wedding.
But to my utter surprise, instead of waiting for me in front of the statue of the moon goddess where the head priestess is waiting, he walked down from his platform to me and offered his arm to me.
“What are you doing, William?” I asked in a hiss and a suppressed laughter but put my hand on his arm. The crowd erupted into laughter and teasing but he did not seem to care because he only had his eyes on me. “Are you really that afraid I would run away and not marry you? You know that won’t happen.”
I giggled afterwards when he blushed. Being with William 24/7 a day exposed me to things that he’s trying to hide from me for ‘fear’ that I would extort him once I found his ‘ungodly’ secrets. One of which includes that he blushed a lot, like a freaking lot!
He was shy at first but he told me that he blushed every time I am near him and it took him too much willpower to stop himself from turning red all the time when we were at the beginning of our relationship.
“I was just being too impatient. I want to walk with you to the moon goddess.” He leaned in and whispered into my ear, “because I cannot wait to strip you of this beautiful dress using only my teeth while finally calling you my wife, Alana.”
Warm delicious force settled at the pit of my stomach upon catching up with what he meant.
This alpha prince! He can’t really pick a more appropriate place to show off his naughtiness!
“Uhrmm! Uhrmm!” The alpha king cleared his throat and widened his eyes at his own son who straightened his back and winked at me so we could begin walking.
The audience laughed again and I am as pink as cherries for his stunt.
“You look so breathtaking by the way that I cannot help myself but walk up to you in a trance. I am so lucky to be your husband, my Alana.”
My heart together with my wolf inside somersaulted.
“And you are so handsome, my alpha prince. I can’t wait to take off this tie of yours,” I uttered while touching the edge of his black tie.
He growled before whispering into my ear. “I love you.”
“I love you,” I answered back.
“We haven't started our ceremony,” the head priestess said in amusement when we reached the altar. “Please, refrain from hurrying up the procedure. We are still at the beginning, not at the end. The I love yous are meant to be the highlight,” she jokingly said and began the ritual.
William and I laughed, our hands tightly clasping at each other, our fingers moving in a rhythm that only us can perform.
In a pause, I looked up at the night sky illuminated by the brightest moon I have ever seen in my lifetime and then back to William who already has his eyes on me.
Happy tears welled in my eyes when it all finally sank into me. William made the rough road I walked littered with colorful flowers. He changed my life for the better.
He kissed my head and pressed his head on mine upon seeing that I was in tears. I responded by smiling from ear to ear.
I just know that we can weather it all. The life… the struggles… the woes of life because we have each other.
Everything is worth it.
Him and I are worth it.
