After that, I did not waste any more time and went to the library to find out what happened five years ago. I need to fill myself in so I would have an idea what I am going to do.

I want to know the whole truth. I swear that was Francine’s voice that I heard in Lucas’ phone but thinking about that now, when I am not that naïve, makes me feel so angry about him who tricked me.

He was the one who made me do that to myself! He made me feel so guilty that I attempted at killing myself!

“And I want to know why Francine became like that when she is still so healthy as far as I can remember.”

I found my answers while browsing the Internet. And I can only do nothing but just clench my hands upon reading it. There is no confirmation from the source but one read at the paper and I know right away that this is something that Francine did for me and William.

I printed it out and barged out of the library back into the palace with a sure person in my mind. When I reached the room, I didn't even try to knock. I just kicked the door and it opened for me.

“What the hell are you doing here?!” Sophia’s voice reverberated across the room and she immediately stood up from the bed and covered her naked body. “You, whore! How dare you come in here?! You! You!”

She pointed at her attendants! “Take her away from my room!”

“Do not move or else I will ask the alpha prince to throw you into a brothel just like me!” I warned the girls who gasped in fear and retreated back into their corners.

“I said make her leave! Now!” Sophia yelled but I already crossed the room towards her and pulled at her hair.

“Why do you really have to be such a bitch, Sophia?! Why do you keep on testing my patience?! What you did to Alana is unforgivable and now I am going to learn that you teamed up with that fucking beta to push Francine into sacrificing her life for Alana and William?!”

My hands are trembling on her neck while I am saying that. “You are as evil as your mother and father, don’t you know that?!”

“Don’t touch me!” She pushed me away while I panted for air. “What do you even know about my parents, you whore!”

Everything is starting to change into red in my eyes. This is something that I was scared of back then but not now anymore. I could care less if I kill her now.

“You are getting on my nerves already, don’t you know that?!” She looked at me from head to toe. “Do not act like your high and mighty. You just look like Alana but you are not her! What would you do with that information when no one will believe you?! William will never remember Alana no matter what he does!”

I cannot stop myself anymore and let go of my first punch on her face. She fell face down to the floor but got back up sneering at me ready to transform.

I grinned at her. “Sure, Sophia. Shift to your wolf now and I will gladly report you to the queen luna. I doubt if she will ever be proud of you again.”

She blinked and blew out the air. “What can you even do with that information?” She smirked at me. “No one would believe a whore like you.”

“William,” I answered laughing. “My man will believe everything I say to him. Lie or truth, he will always believe me more than you.”

“My man?!” she barked at me. “The alpha prince is my husband so I am the only one who can claim him as my man!”

Grabbing my arm tight, she widened her eyes to intimidate me to which she failed big time.

“Do you think I would let a whore like you ruin my marriage? I did not give everything I have to steal him from Alana just so I could lose him to you! If you think so, then you are giving yourself so much credit for things that will never happen.”

I slapped her hard to the face to the surprise of everybody.

Sophia growled harshly when she cannot seem to understand where my audacity is coming from.

“How dare you?!”

She raised her hand to slap me but I quickly caught her arm and twisted it hard.

“You deserve it for being such a bitchy leech. You are proud that you stole the alpha prince from your sister so now, you have to watch me take your man away from you in a broad light. And I am not stopping there, Sophia. I will also take your father, your mother, and everything that you have from you. I will leave nothing to you. I will make sure that everyone will turn their back on you forever.”

I leaned in closer so she could hear everything I am going to say. “What you and Lucas did to Francine will be known to the alpha prince and to the whole palace. And I will make sure that William will remember Alana. You will cry in the corner of a basement for the rest of your life atoning for your sins but no one will rescue you from there.”

I pushed her away and walked out of the door and ran to Francine’s room where I saw in the same condition as I left her.

“Hi, Francine. It’s me, Alana.”

My tears fell when I saw nothing registered in her eyes.

“I am alive, Francine,” I whispered while holding her limp hands. “I am here now and I remembered all of you.”

I knelt before her and kissed her feet while what she did for us kept ringing in my head.

“I’m sorry, Francine. I’m so sorry,” I said while bawling my eyes out in guilt. “But you didn’t have to do that for us. Francine, why do you have to do that for us?”

I clenched my hands. “Why do you have to kill yourself in the process?”

She just sacrificed her good health and half of the years of the remainder of her life in exchange for that one remaining memory of me in William’s mind so he can still remember me after the surgery.
