I know something was different when I woke up and found the alpha prince just staring softly at me from the other side of the bed.

His eyes are only fixed on me with a certain glow on them as if he wants to tell me so many things but forced himself to shut his mouth up.

I never saw him like this and it kind of warms my heart to see him looking at me this way even when it sounds so delusional and out-of-reality kind of thing.

“W-What happened?” I asked while sitting up. “What are y-”

My voice trailed off when I found myself in his arms being tightly hugged by the alpha prince in an instant. He pushed me back down to the bed and settled his nose in between my neck sniffing me in the process.

I was caught off guard but I did not move and just let him embrace me in the gentlest way possible.

“I miss you so much. I miss you so much,” he whispered in my ears while kissing my head.

I pushed him back but it’s like moving a big boulder rock. “Alpha prince, what are you talking about?”

I clearly remembered how his wife attacked me in the other room. I can also recall how I tried to fight her off but Sophia is too strong for me that I blacked out completely and now I cannot forget everything that happened after that.

He stared right into my eyes and gave me a smile that could melt any cold heart of any woman. The alpha prince is freaking using his charms on me and I don’t know how to react when my heart literally skipped a beat!

“Do you want to go back to the cabin with me?” His eyes felt too soft while looking at me. “Please? Can you come with me?”

I blinked hearing him ask me this as if he did not own me. As he'd said before, I am his whore and so he can do everything he wants with me but now he’s asking me, letting me decide for myself.

I can only nod without saying anything because I still cannot find my voice with the way he’s acting so strangely cute and irresistible.

His face lit up and he carried me back up and opened the door for me where Lucas had been waiting for us.

He held out his hand towards me and glanced at the alpha prince.

“Alpha prince, let me take Aria to the cabin. It would be safer this way.”

But instead of letting Lucas help me, the alpha prince reached for my hand and intertwined my fingers to my utter shock.

“No, she’s coming with me there,” he said coldly and pulled me towards him and left his beta gritting his teeth in silence.

What is happening? Why is he acting like this with me now? Those were the things that kept on circling in my head while we’re driving to the lake.

“Alpha prince, forgive me for asking but can I ask why are you doing this to me? I do not understand you at all. Why are you doing all this?”

But he just smiled at me and motioned at the view outside.

“Did everything I show you not familiar to you at all?”

I shook my head and lied. “No, not at all.”

He just smiled at me from the driver’s seat, confusing me more. What the hell is happening here? Did he know something that I don’t?

“Did you feel anything… like peace, happiness, and love while looking at the painting in my room and in the hallway? I specifically put them there for a reason.” He gestured at the lake in front of us when he stopped the car. “How about the cabin? Or the lake itself?”

“No, alpha prince,” I lied again. “It’s my first time seeing them. I’m sorry I don’t know what you are talking about. It’s my first time seeing the palace as I am a lycan. I’m not a werewolf like you.”

He smiled again and climbed out of the car to open the side of my door.

“I know, I know but how about this note?” He took out the note I saw in the library and showed it to me. “Did you remember that I wrote this for you?”

Do you trust me, Alana?

He wrote that for me? Why? Why is he calling me Alana?

“How how…” I blinked my eyes while I looked at the note and then back to him. “Where did you get it? And you are the one who wrote this for me? How is that possible?”

“So, tell me, lycan...” There was a glint of joy in his eyes while telling me, “do you remember being in this place?” He pressed his body against me and pinned me to the hood of the car. “Do you feel something familiar while being here?”

I raised my head higher and stood by my lie. “No, alpha prince. I really don’t know what you are talking about.”

Walking past him, I bit my lower lip to stop myself from grimacing because of the pain in my chest but before I could successfully leave him, he caught my arm and pulled me back into his arms, his hands automatically landing on my nape massaging it erotically.

“But if I do this, will you finally stop lying to me?”

I gulped, ready to deny again. “What do you m-”

I didn’t have time to finish my words. I mean, he did not let me at all because the second I opened my mouth, he captured my face with both of my hands and kissed me as hard and as passionate as he can as if he waited for years to do this to me, like as if he yearned for this to happen for such a long time.

But how could that be when I certainly know that I did not meet him before? How could his kisses be so familiar to me like all the places and things here in the palace when he is the man I should kill by hook or by crook for murdering my kind?
