My heart leaped in its cage. Is he going to tell me about it? Is he finally going to tell me that he will tell his parents about me and about us?

“What is it?” I asked in extreme hope.

“You will come with me,” he answered, further boosting my expectation.

Why? I want to ask him. So, you could finally introduce me to your family?

But I did not say that for fear that I would be too presumptive.

My smile widened, reaching my eyes. This is it! He is really going to tell his parents about me, that I am his mate!

“Why?” I asked because I still want to hear it come out from his mouth.

He touched my nose and pinched my cheek playfully. “Because I always want to see you. I cannot leave this place without you, Alana.”

It felt like I was hoisted up in the air and then was dropped out from such a high place.

He wants to see me always but there is no mention of his plans between us. Am I just being too clingy or should I just accept that this should only be the role that I will be playing in his life?

I forced to smile and pulled him back to me.

“I will. I will go back with you,” I said despite the sadness and the disappointment in my heart.

I want to ask him about his wedding, about the invitation to his wedding, about the woman he’s going to marry, and about our future together if there is one available for us.

But I do not have the courage to ask him because I know I am not that brave to accept whatever his answer would be.

He kissed my neck where his mark is. “Thank you so much.”

I just brushed his hair and bit my lower lip to prevent a sob from escaping.

Is it really that hard for you to tell me the truth? Why are you lying right into my face?

Those are the questions I’ve been meaning to ask him but they all ended up in my head unsaid and unheard.

Since I will be going back to the palace with William, I sped up the things that I wanted to change in the pack and the justice that I want to get from everyone that abused me.

“What are you all doing here in the room?!” Minerva jumped out of their bed when the guards pushed open the door and I entered together with the other maids and guards. “This is the private room of the alpha! How dare you come here?!”

“Seize all the jewelry of the luna and the alpha. We need all the gold, diamonds, and silver that we can find!” I ordered them. “Do not leave anything unturned and take anything of value in this room.”

“Yes, ambassadress!”

“No!” Minerva began panicking trying to stop the people from searching into her drawers and cabinets but to no avail so she turned back to me.

“You fucking brat! What is it all about again?! After you poisoned your own sister, what are you trying to do to us again?!”

“I did not poison Sophia. I reviewed the videos and saw her maid coming out from her own room with the glass of empty water in her hand. Sophia poisoned herself to make it appear that I was the one who did it.”

I walked up to her and stared right into her trembling face. “All of the things I did in my stay here were recorded and reported to the alpha king including the video of Sophia so I think she has to kiss goodbye to her dream of becoming the alpha prince’s wife.”

Saying that hurts me more because I was reminded again of the fact that William is going to get married once we go back to the palace.

Minerva swallowed the lump in her throat and fumbled into her own words that she just chose to keep quiet while the guards were busy filling up a chest with all of the gold necklaces and diamond rings that they collected.

Seeing these lavish jewelry makes me seethe with anger because the people do not even have enough meat on the table and here she is, using the money to fund for her penchant for something glittery.

“These are all the jewelry we found, ambassadress.”

I looked at the gems and then back to the luna whose eyes are getting red from keeping her tears at bay. I bet her heart is crying now seeing all her treasure being taken away.

“Take all of that to the office. We are going to sell them to take the money back to the treasury,” I decided to the surprise of the luna.

“N-No! Why would you sell my jewelry?! They are all mine! This is a clear abuse of power!” She ran to the chest of gold to try to take them away but was immediately dragged away. “Ambassadress, you have crossed the line already! This is injustice already!”

My brows arched in fury. “Injustice?” I scoffed. “This is injustice but stealing from the people’s money is not?! Do you even care about the number of kids who are hungry on the streets? I bet not because all you think about is yourself!”

Francine stepped in to ask me. “What should we do with the luna then, ambassadress?”

“She has stolen funds from the people. Take her to the basement and call Sophia and the alpha. According to the rules, the alpha himself should discipline his own luna and pack. 1000 beatings that would be performed by Alpha Killian.”

Minerva gasped in panic. “N-No! I did nothing wrong!”

Francine instructed the guards. “You heard the ambassadress. Take the luna to the prison! Alpha Killian would administer her punishment!”

“No! Don’t touch me!” Minerva struggled against the guards but was still taken to the prison and was locked up.

After a few minutes, Sophia and Alpha Killian arrived.

“What did you do to my mother, Alana?!” Sophia ran to her mother inside the cell. “Mom! Mommy! Don’t worry, dad will take you out of this prison. Dad?! What are you still doing? Can’t you see that mommy is suffering already? Take her out! She did nothing wrong!”

“He can’t,” I said while looking at the eyes of my father and handing him the whip and the wood. “In fact, he will be the one to deliver the punishment because Minerva is his luna and she is his responsibility to discipline. Am I right, daddy?”
