Now that I have my memories back, the growing thirst for revenge and rebellion just took some deeper roots. Even though he is not telling me, I doubt the operation that was done on him to forget me was his own decision.

It was definitely the alpha king’s decision who just returned from their trip.

“We are still going to keep this all a secret while we will be figuring it out. You are still the alpha prince while I will gladly be your whore,” I said and played with his fingers on my palm.

He grunted and kissed the side of my head. “Please don’t say that word about you. I never considered you as one even when my memories are not back yet. You always have a soft spot in my heart which I didn't understand before.”

He cupped my face and snickered when I scrunch my nose. “You will always be my Alana and I will always be your alpha prince. Nothing changed. We have gone through so many things together already and we have surpassed them all but a bigger battle lies ahead of us, Alana. I will never let go of your hand no matter what happens.”

I can read in his eyes the determination to put into action his promises.

“No one can stand against our love this time, Alana. I will make sure to proudly announce to the world that you are alive and that you are mine.”

“Even when I am a granddaughter of your family’s clan? Even when I come from the blood that will always threaten your father’s position?”

His eyes softened as he touched my cheeks. “That does not matter to me at all. I should be the one asking you that. Can you still accept me when my own father killed your own grandfather and forced your mother into hiding? My family is the reason why you ended up being abused for most of your life.”

I put a finger on his mouth to cut him off. I don’t want to hear any of it anymore. “And you rescued me out from that hell and gave me the kind of love that I could only hope for. William, you are not your father. You are you and he is him. I can’t ever hate you for that.”

He took my hand and kissed it while gazing at me with all the love in his eyes.

“Thank you for being so forgiving to me Alana but I am afraid I cannot be that same person to the people who hurt you, who threatened our love to each other.”

A glint of danger crossed his eyes. “And even if you ask me to forgive them, I won’t. I won’t ever forgive them for trying to separate us from each other.”

Emotions filled me to the brim that I could only gasp hard before replying.

“I won’t ask you to do that. Just like you, I will fight for our love, William. I cannot let anyone take this beautiful thing away from us. I cannot remember a good or happy moment in my life without you in it.” I pressed my head on his. “You are my definition of happiness, William. I can’t ever think of a happy life without you in it.”

“And I would rather die than lose you again.” He pulled me in for another kiss as he stood up with our hands entwined. “We cannot lose to them again. We have to win this time.”

I nodded at him with the same energy and determination. “But you should leave Sophia to me. I want to deal with her once and for all. We still have some unfinished business. I want to pick where I left it off.”

He shrugged his shoulders letting his torn shirt fall through his body. “You can have her for all you want while I deal with the other.”

With that, he transformed into his wolf while I hopped on his back as we went back to the palace.

Our plan is simple. After we make sure that we put those responsible for what happened to us in justice, we will leave the palace as outcasts because William is certain that the alpha king will never let him marry me.

Fated or not to each other, he vowed to marry me.

He dropped me to his room and promised to come back later in the evening.

“Where did the two of you go?” Lucas’ voice rang from my back.

I gritted my teeth upon hearing it. That’s right. I almost forgot about him. I cannot forget how he made us suffer before.

I remembered how he toyed on the fact that he was my mate too. Now, he has no hold on me since the second Zuleik marked me. A lycan’s marking just canceled all of the prior claims on me.

I slowly faced him with an arched brow. “Who are you to ask that to me? Are you questioning the alpha prince now?”

His jaws clenched especially when his eyes darted towards the hickey on my neck that I am proudly displaying. “No, but the alpha king instructed me to report to him every move of the alpha prince and the places that he goes to with the people that he’s with.”

I laughed sarcastically at that. What is he? A seven-year-old kid? The alpha king is just afraid of his own misdeeds at this point.

“Why don’t you ask the alpha prince himself?” I grinned at him when he fell silent. “Why? You don’t have the gall to ask him about where he brought me? Why? Afraid of your own shadows, beta?”

He pursed his lips and growled softly. “I would close my mouth if I were you, Aria.”

Aria… Haha. So, he still did not know that I have all my memories back. He is still living in his own bubble where he successfully separated me from William.

“There would come a time when I would gladly tell you that I am Alana while you are cowering on your feet, Lucas,” I whispered while glaring at his back.

I thought of him as my friend but he betrayed me and the alpha prince whom he vowed to be loyal to forever.
