“William…” Alana gasped and clung on to my shirt and buried her face into my chest.

I put an arm around her and pulled her cold body into me.

She is shaking and sweating all over proving that she has been triggered by the presence of her angry father.

I clenched my jaws and calmed myself because I would really love to cut off Killian’s head right now. How dare he terrorize my mate?! How dare he do this to my Alana?!

“It’s okay, Alana. I am here now.”

I gently looked into her eyes and smiled, comforting her in the process. “I will take care of it now. You go with Francine, okay?”

She glanced worriedly at her father and shook her head. “I can’t leave you here alone with him. He is very angry right now and he might do anything to you.”

I wiped the tears off her face and assured her by just laughing it off. “He cannot do anything to me, Alana. It’s not like I will allow it. Remember who I am, okay? I am your alpha prince. I am yours.”

She nodded after a while and bit her lower lip to prevent a sob from escaping. I sighed when I saw that. She is only forcing herself to agree with me and leave.

“Francine, take the ambassadress away! I will deal with the alpha myself.”

I kissed her head and turned her over to Francine who had been with me earlier this morning to patrol the borders. She is also the one who gave me a heads up that the alpha is going into the ambassadress’ office.

Lucas transformed back into his human form after Alana and Francine left the room.

“I am sorry, alpha prince. I failed to protect the ambassadress.”

I glowered at Alpha Killian who sustained my look with the same intensity. “You have your insufficiency Lucas but the alpha has more accountability in this manner. Escort him to my office now! I don’t want this beautiful room of the ambassadress to witness the things that I am going to do with him.”

“Yes, alpha prince!”

The royal guards dragged the alpha king into my room. I stopped to hand Lucas his clothes. “Get dressed and make sure no one interferes with me inside.”

“Yes, alpha prince.”

I made all the soldiers left the room so it was only me and Alpha Killian. He is a formidable opponent I can see, having served as my father’s right hand before but that fact is nothing against my raging fury now.

He dared to challenge me by trying to harm Alana knowing that I value her so much more than my life.

“So, we have seen each other again, Alpha Killian.” I lit up my cigarette and stared hard at the face of the alpha. “This time, there is no minister to save your ass from the punishment that I am going to inflict on you.”

His face remained stoic as he answered. “Did your father and mother know that you are here? Did they know that the palace is empty with the alpha prince because he is here in my small village with a little temptress ambassadress?”

I grinned before landing a huge punch on his face. I have been meaning to do this to him ever since the first time I laid my eyes on Alana in that godforsaken place.

Alpha Killian’s mouth burst and a trickle of blood oozed out from his mouth.

“You don’t know what you are talking about, Alpha Killian. The woman you are disrespecting would be the most powerful woman in this entire state.”

I growled but stopped myself from transforming. I will not kill him today. Death is too lenient punishment for what he’d done to Alana.

Killian just laughed. “Forgive me alpha prince but that woman is going to be your downfall. She is a jinx! She is a carrier of bad luck wherever she goes!”

I kicked him to the floor but he growled forward obviously challenging me. His eyes turned red meaning he is on the verge of transforming.

“I am the general of your father, the alpha king! I won the war for your father and conquered the lands that you are standing now!” he said as his bones started creaking in anticipation of his shifting.

I growled back as my paws grew, my nails digging out as I lunged toward him and cut his left ear using my bare hands.

“Ahh!” Alpha Killian screamed in agony as he writhed on the floor that was getting soaked up with his blood.

“You may have won the battle alpha but my father taught me all the strategies.”

I yanked his collar and stared right into his cold-blooded eyes. “I can see that you have holding up fine with this punishment but what are you going to do if I direct my wrath from you to your wife and daughter who are equally as evil as you?” My eyes grew wide at him. “Hmm What do you say?”

I can see how that single statement magically changed his expressionless face into a full-blown monster. “Alpha prince! Do not dare to do that!”

I just smirked at him. “You just gave me more reason to do it and I will make sure to do it leisurely. You just dare to challenge me now by doing that to Alana!”

“Why are you so crazy about her, alpha prince? What is it with that woman you like? Sophia is the one that is suited for someone like you, not Alana who is barbaric! She will only bring shame to my name and your father’s throne!”

I took out my dagger and traced the veins of his neck using it. “Say one more thing against Alana and I will bury this blade right into your neck. And who knows who I am going to slit her neck next right?”

He snarled at me and would have continued transforming had it not been with the knife on his neck.

“Alpha prince!” Lucas knelt in front of me and offered his palms to me. “Let me do it. Your hands do not deserve to be stained by the blood of this man!”

I could only let out a smug smile while wiping the blood off my hands with tissue. “I just did. That means his sins are far worse than anything because I punished him with my own hands.”

“I am loyal to your father’s throne! I am one of his most trusted generals!” Killian said as he stood up, his hand grasping the side of his head with a missing ear. “I do not deserve to be treated like this by a man who has not achieved anything!”

“Do not say anything like that to the alpha prince, Alpha Killian! That is against the royal code!” Lucas barked at him.

“He was the first to break it when he threatened to harm my daughter and wife!”

I gritted my teeth and turned back around. “But you did not think twice of abusing Alana in the guise of you being his father! You did horrible things to your own daughter! That makes you the most disloyal subject ever.”

I faced him squarely while trying the hardest not to erupt again. “And we both know that is not the only thing that you have done against your alpha king, Killian.”

I fished out some documents out of my own pockets and threw it on his face. “You are robbing money from the coffers to sustain your wife and daughter’s extravagant lifestyle. I have all the documents to prove that you are guilty of this.”

He bent down to read the papers, uncaring that his whole body was already dripping from his own blood.

“Bullshit! Do you think I would go down just like this?! The alpha king will still believe me because he knows I am his most loyal man! You don’t know what you are doing, alpha prince. That woman, Alana, will be your crumbling piece!”

My face hardened even more. “You still don’t know what is going on, Alpha Killian. If there is anyone in the entire state who is the most disloyal, then you take the crown Alpha Killian. Do not think that this is all over. Nothing is over yet until I get justice for my Alana. I don’t even care if I have to kill every one of you here.”
