The Alpha Prince's Abused Mate Chapter 135
ARIA
We passed on mini forests, rivers, lakes, and even big houses before the massive palace of the alpha king came into our sight.
My heart skipped a beat when I saw the modern castle. Just like the alpha prince and Lucas, it also felt too familiar to me as if I lived there for years.
Lucas stopped at the back door and a guard put a robe on his body as he shifted back into his human form.
“You are not supposed to be seen by anyone inside so you have to wear this,” he said and put a veil around my head. “The alpha prince specifically wanted you all for himself,” he said as if that is against what he’s currently feeling.
“And I would do the same too if I have someone like you as my pastime.”
I did not like what he said so I slapped his hand away from touching my face any further and arched my brows at him even though I know he will not see it anyway because of the veil.
“It’s okay to be a woman and be someone’s pastime rather be a man and sulk why no woman wants him. I heard you don’t have a mate.”
I looked at him from head to toe before chuckling. “The moon goddess must have taken a pity for the woman that will be fated to you.”
I walked past him with his mouth fell open and climbed inside the waiting cart with a satisfied grin on my mouth. It felt so good to put Lucas in his place.
The man is so arrogant that I will gladly do the same thing over and over again.
“Excuse me, where are we going?” I asked the driver when we started moving inside the intricate roads of the palace.
I made sure to remember every spot and hiding place I can utilize that I can for sure use when I am about to escape after I kill the alpha prince.
“The alpha prince ordered me to take you to his favorite spot in the palace, Ms. I am taking you there.”
“Oh, okay.”
I just looked outside and enjoyed the view while ignoring the nostalgic feeling that is slowly setting in my heart.
Why does it feel like more of a home here rather than the village? Why do I feel so much at peace in a place that I have never been before? And these trees, this scenery, why does it feel like I have seen them before?
“We are here now, Ms.” He pointed at the path towards the woods. “Just follow the road and it will take you to the alpha prince.”
He opened the door for me and left after thanking him.
Doing just what he instructed me, I traced the path into the woods until the foliage opened up into a clear field where the most beautiful cabin that I have ever seen. The design is very cute and up to my liking and beyond the cabin is a crystal clear lake that offers the prettiest view that I want to take off my clothes right now and swim on it.
Maybe that could help tell me the reason why everything I am seeing right now is very familiar to me.
“They call you Aurora,” said a voice in my back.
I breathed in silently and clenched my hand around the canister of poison in my pocket before I turned around to see the alpha prince.
He looked majestic. I didn’t get to see him fully back at the brothel because of how dark the room is but now, under the bright rays of the sun, his massively built body is glistening with the droplets of water.
He just came out from water and he is still catching his breath from exhaustion.
My whole face heated up and my heart’s beating felt like I had transformed into my animal and ran thousands and thousands of miles.
I blinked and couldn't help but survey his body curiously. He’s shirtless just like most of the lycans in my village. What separates him from all of them is he is just too handsome face, a body that is a little over the top with bodily scars that detailed the number of wars he’d won and territories he conquered.
His aura is overpowering and no one can look at his eyes in the streets without suffering from his famous cruelty just like what he had done to my entire village.
The thought brought a bitter taste in my mouth.
I bowed my head before him. “Yes, alpha prince.”
I sensed when he walked closer to me and lifted my chin using the end of his silver sword. “But give me your real name. I want your real name.”
I swallowed the lump in my throat when its edge contacted my skin, making me feel a bit of itchiness. “Aria, alpha prince. My name is Aria,” I answered truthfully.
“Aria,” he drawled, rolling my name in his mouth. “It sounds very familiar. It sounds like someone I know of.”
“Really, alpha prince? What is her name?” I tried to lengthen our conversation so he would lose his focus on the sword.
He stared at me blankly before answering. “I don’t know. I know I know someone that felt as familiar as you but I cannot remember her anymore.”
He put the sword back into its sheath and wiped off some water on his face. “To be honest, I did not know what I was thinking when I told them to drop you here. Maybe I just want to answer my own questions and maybe I want to find out something.”
I dare to meet his eyes as bluntly as I can be. “And can I ask if I may what is your finding, alpha prince?”
He caught my hand and pulled me towards me and pressed my palm against his chest. I jerked when I felt how it’s beating so wildly.
“You did not disappoint me, Aria. Right now, you are making my heart beat crazily for you and I am really wondering why that is the case.”
