WILLIAM

I felt Alana’s hands immediately turn cold when she saw his family kneeling before the alpha king begging at us for me to reject her. I clasped them tightly around mine to warm her and to assure her that I would never reject her even if the blood moon turns red.

“Alpha king, please make the alpha prince reject Alana!” Minerva said and knelt before my father too.

“Yes, please alpha king!” Sophia said and fell to her knees too. “Alana is just going to ruin the alpha prince’s life!”

“Alpha king, please let the alpha prince reject Alana! We are begging you!” the two chorused.

I am seething with fury looking at these three begging for me to reject my mate. Their pleas are ridiculous because I could never reject Alana no matter what happens. No one can make me reject her.

“Escort all the guests outside! Now!” the alpha king ordered the guards who speedily led the audience to the exit leaving me and the rest of the persons involved.

“Now tell me what this is all about, Killian. My son has found his mate and she happened to be the daughter you hid in the basement but now, you are asking me for him to reject her.” He used the end of his golden staff to lift the head of the alpha. “Did you know you caused too much anguish to the alpha prince knowing that if he did not come to your mansion, then he would never have found his mate forever?”

The alpha glanced at Alana and then to me before talking. “I have a very good reason why I want the alpha prince to reject Alana, alpha king. She would only cause his downfall. She is a jinx to our family and the village. That is why I hid her in the basement because I know what kind of a monster she could be.”

Alana jolted in her feet as tears filled her eyes. That made me more resentful to the alpha that I could wring his head right here right now but I am just forcing myself not to act on it since Alana is here.

I would not want her to get traumatized by too much blood because I know it will trigger something inside her.

“Don’t listen to her, Alana. He is just a fucking liar and abuser who wants to keep on hurting you. Don’t give him that kind of satisfaction, okay? I am here with you. We are here together. We only need each other now.”

“Yes,” she whispered back and leaned on me. “Thank you, William.”

“Take my first daughter instead, alpha king.” Killian patted the head of Sophia who smiled at the alpha king. “Sophia would be a very good replacement for Alana as his bride. My wife, Minerva, trained her from the very start to be the perfect wife for the alpha prince.”

Sophia bowed her head even lower. “Alpha king, I will promise the alpha prince that I would be the most submissive and perfect wife for him. I have been preparing all my life for it.”

Georgia gasped from the distance and erupted into a loud sob that got his father and the wolves to growl in fury.

“Preposterous! Alpha king, my daughter was engaged to the alpha prince first! I say the wedding with the alpha prince and my daughter should push through after he rejects his mate now.”

I clenched my other hand and let my nails wound my palm. How dare them talk as if Alana and I are not here in front of them!

“I would never reject Alana and I would never dare to marry any of your daughters!” I interrupted their conversation. “No one can make me! I will have to cut your heads from your bodies and feed them to my fishes if you still insist!”

It felt so good saying that in front of their gaping faces and I would gladly do that over and over again if they still keep on disrespecting Alana.

“William, you are not part of this conversation so you should shut your mouth up!” the alpha king reprimanded but I just shrugged it off.

“Father, I would never be silent when it comes to my mate. Alana is my one and only mate, the one I am going to marry. Anyone who will say otherwise and disagree should be killed!”

“William…” my mother approached me and put a hand on my back.

Sophia bit her mouth in shame while Minerva got up to comfort her daughter.

“And right now, you are not entitled to any of that because you lied to me and your mother,” my father said coldly and turned back his attention to Alpha Killian. “You were saying something earlier about Alana. Why would she be dangerous to my son, Killian?”

My whole body turned cold as I looked at Lucas beside me.

“Lucas, take Alana away,” I said in a hurry.

“Yes, alpha prince,” he answered and held Alana’s arm.

Alana stared at me worriedly. “Why, William? What are you going to do?”

I caressed her face and kissed his head. “Leave them to me. I just don’t want you to witness some bloody mess.”

“William…” her voice sounded more concerned than ever.

“It’s okay. Trust me that it will be okay, alright?”

She must have read something in my eyes because she nodded and let Lucas led her away.

“Be safe,” I still hear her mouth the words before leaving.

“I will. I will,” I whispered.

I will be safe but I don’t think that would be applicable to Killian anymore.

“Alpha king, Alana is a monster! She possessed the blood of the ene-”

But before he could finish his statement, I ran up to him in an instant, forced his mouth to open, and pulled his tongue out, ripping it in the process.

“Daddy!”

“Honey!”

Wails filled the entire hall as the alpha fell to his back as bubbles of blood dripped out from his mouth.

I threw his filthy tongue on the floor and spat on it.

“I am sorry father but I am really done hearing his annoying voice. It’s hurting my ears,” I said while grinning from ear to ear.

“William!” the alpha king growled loudly causing some of the glass in the hall to break.

“Father, you told me I could do anything I can to the people who hurt Alana. I just did what I should have done in the first place.”

It just felt so satisfying to do that to Alpha Killian. I know I will have to face consequences later on but at least I did what I should have done before.

The alpha king gazed at me for a few seconds and spoke in a low tone highlighting his seriousness to get to the bottom of it.

“Georgia and Sophia will stay in the palace for the time being while I make sure if the threats the alpha mentioned about Alana is true. Only then would I decide whom you are going to marry, William. And this time, you will do as I say!”
