ALANA

William groaned before he leaned in to kiss me but before his lips could touch mine, a knock interrupted us in the middle of making miracles.

I pushed William away and covered my body with the blanket even though he had not even removed any of my clothes.

Amused, he kissed my nose and playfully bit my ear. “My little bold mate is really shy all along,” he teased me before standing up and opening the door, not even bothering to put on a shirt.

“Francine,” William spoke as I peeked through the covers.

The woman is smiling from ear to ear when she realizes that William is in my room.

“Did you know that you have come here at the worst possible time?” he said in a pissed tone.

The woman just laughed and glanced at my direction so I immediately hid under the covers in embarrassment.

“That’s my boy. And please, before you come to me, I have no idea that you are here in Alana’s room. I just knocked to check up on her and give her this glass of milk she forgot to drink earlier.”

“Thank you. I will give this to her,” William said and shut the doors.

Under the cool light of the moon seeping into the room through the glass window, he came up to me and brushed my hair while holding the glass of milk for me to drink.

“Thank you,” I said softly after I finished the whole glass.

I did not know I was this thirsty until what we did earlier. Will we do it tonight? Will he continue? That’s the questions that are running in my head while he is staring at my lips.

“Your milk spilled,” he uttered.

“Oh.”

I raised my hand to wipe it off but before I could, he already held my face and swooped in to lick off the excess milk on the side of my mouth.

I closed my eyes and waited for him to push me back onto the bed but a few seconds had already passed but he did not do anything.

Slowly, I opened my eyes and there he is, on his knees checking up on the wound on my knee again.

“Let’s get it checked tomorrow, okay? This could get infected. Let’s not take chances.”

I felt a surge of warm emotions in my heart. Inhaling it so as not to choke from the overwhelming feelings, I lifted my hand and brushed his hair gently.

William looked up to me and smiled and I felt like my heart just melted. “Why are you looking up at me like that?”

“I didn't mean it. All I have said to Sophia about me not needing you at all is a lie. I will always need you, alpha prince. I’m sorry if I ever said that.”

He rested his face on my thighs while smiling like crazy. “I know that you will always need me, Alana, because I will always need you, too. Our connection is out of this world. I can feel what you feel. I can sense when you are in danger. I was momentarily hurt when I heard that but later on, I realized that you did not mean it.”

My heart swelled in relief knowing that we are talking like this again.

“Thank you so much for understanding,” I said and kissed his head. “Thank you for not judging me right away.”

“Alana, I won’t ever judge you wrongly. I might get jealous, angry, sad but the only thing I cannot do is to judge you.” He caressed my face proudly. “In fact, I am proud of you. I don’t really need to actually come up to save you. I saw you eating up that woman. I did not butt in because I was too proud to see you overpowering her. I wanted to shout that moment and say, ‘Yes! That’s my girl! You go girl!’”

I chuckled while being teary-eyed. I can sense that he is really proud of me. My heart felt like bursting with happiness. No one has ever said that to me. No one ever told me that they are proud of me.

William was stunned when he saw me crying again. Jumping into his feet, he sat by my side to cup my face.

“Why are you crying? Did I say something wrong? Alana, is something wrong?”

“N-Nothing.” I hugged him so tight. “It’s just that no one has ever told me that they are proud of me. It’s the first time I heard that word from anyone to tell me.”

“Oh, my Alana.” He drew me closer into his arms and rocked me gently. “From now on, you are going to hear that from me, that I am proud of you. I am always the proudest of you.”

I smiled and sighed contentedly in his embrace. Nothing could beat this feeling of being wrapped inside the protective arms of your mate.

The next day, I started my job singing a love song.

“You look so radiant and I am not going to ask why,” Francine commented while we were having a break.

Swallowing my food, I gawked at her. “How did you know?”

She gave me a teasing smile. “William… that kid. I just know when that kid does something good.”

She eased towards me, her brows moving in a playful manner. “So? What are you going to ask me?”

My mouth literally fell open. “How did you know that I have something to ask you?”

Francine laughed and smiled knowingly. “I just know so please, tell me what are you going to ask me, our lady?”

It took a moment for me to muster the courage to finally tell her what has been on my mind since last night. “Francine, can you please teach me how to make a man happy?”

“Hmm?” she leaned in to me to hear me better.

I cleared my throat and whispered, “I mean… Can you teach me how to pleasure a man?”
