The Alpha Prince's Abused Mate Chapter 145
WILLIAM
I glared at the nurse who was shivering all over on the floor. “You should properly take good care of Francine from now on. Stop giving her the medicine but do not tell anyone, you understand me?!”
She crawled towards me and nodded. “Yes, alpha prince.”
“Any untoward thing that could happen with Francine will be attributed to you. The life of your entire family will be the payment if you mess up, you get it?! I will not stop until I make sure your clan is all cut off if something bad happens to her, okay?!”
She nodded repeatedly. “I get it, alpha prince. From now on, I will do everything you just said.”
“Good.”
I brushed Francine’s hair and watched how she administered the proper medicine to her.
If they are doing this much to keep Francine from fully recovering, then I know they are really hiding something from me which I should find out starting from the real identity of Aria.
And I should find out about it before my parents arrive.
I did not waste any more time and went to the hospital straight to the office of the head doctor who jumped into his feet when he saw me.
“Alpha prince!”
I extended my palm to him. “Give me my medical records now.”
He swallowed the lump in his throat and adjusted his glasses. “Can I ask what your reason is, alpha prince?”
“Does the alpha prince have to report his personal reasons to a mere doctor? Give me my medical records now before I tore this place down and took it myself.”
He immediately turned his back on me and began opening up drawers.
“Here it is, alpha prince,” he said while handing me a thin folder.
I took it and read the pages but could not come up with anything suspicious. I had only a minor head surgery to get rid of some blood clots after the accident in the mountains and there is nothing in the records that would give me suspicions that they did something on me.
“What do you need to know, alpha prince?” he started prying. “As your doctor, it is my duty to serve you.”
I tossed the paper back into the desk and looked him in the eye. “Give me my real medical records.”
He gulped and began looking from side to side.
Out of anger, I grabbed both of his shoulders and pinned him to the wall. “Tell me what did you did to my head! Tell me what memories you erased! If you don’t, then I might as well break your skull open and find the information myself. You don’t want that to happen, do you?”
He trembled and shook his head. “Alpha prince, I did not do anything to you. The operation was done under the presence of the alpha king and queen luna. It would be impossible for me to perform something without their consent.”
I grinned darkly at him. “Yes, keep this act, Gazmin. Why? Do you still want that promotion as the senior scientist of the lab? Do you want me to promote you straight into the cemetery now?”
He shook his head fervently. “Please, do not do that, alpha prince. It is not because of myself but because of your own sake. You are the next alpha king of the entire pack. You should not do anything that would make the people hate you more. Your parents entrusted you to your beta, alpha prince. Lucas has been doing everything to restore your honor.”
I snickered and kicked him away from my sight before laughing derisively as everything seemed to get clearer in my head.
My beta and my parents… Yes.
Why did I not think about that sooner? And the last person my parents talked to before leaving is none other than…
“Lucas…” I whispered begrudgingly.
I stored out of the room and shifted into my wolf to get back to the palace.
“Tell me where Lucas is now!” I growled in the hallway.
A soldier came forward to answer. “Alpha prince, the beta is going to your room to guard it. He said you have someone in there that is too precious for you.”
I snarled and shifted back into my wolf again to the shock of everyone since I broke the cardinal rule of the palace again and again.
Growling, I ran to my room with an intent to kill Lucas once I learned that he did something to Aria.
I would gladly shred him into pieces if he did something to her!
“Alpha prince!” he called for me when we came face to face outside of my door. “Why are you…”
He stared at my animal growling and gulped. “Alpha prince, I am sure the alpha king will not like hearing this report from me.”
Shifting back into my human form, I hitched his collar and looked down on him with my eyes blazing with wrath.
“The woman behind this door…”
“What about her, alpha prince?”
I stared coldly into his eyes and spoke in the most possessive manner I could muster, “is mine.”
He just blinked and looked away while I entered the room and sat beside Aria on my bed.
Comfort, relief, and something I can’t put a word into washed over me.
I can feel that she doesn’t genuinely know me, that just like me, she’s confused too.
“I may not know who you really are but all I know is that I know you… deep inside me. I am sure I know you before with a different name, different experience.”
I raised my hand to touch her face gently, my skin tingling with every whiff of her breath.
“Please, stay with me until I figure that out, will you?” I whispered and leaned down to sniff her scent.
Aria’s eyes opened showing me the reddest color I have ever seen in my entire life, and before I realized it, she was already reaching for my neck, biting it, and sucking my blood from it.
I gasped as her hands felt like iron on my neck holding me hostage as memories came pouring down on me.
