The Alpha Prince's Abused Mate Chapter 194
WILLIAM
The moon is high above the clouds in the night sky bursting into the clearest lights as if it’s also getting married to the sun illuminating the palace down where a great wedding is happening.
I kept on wiping off the sweat on my brow and clearing my mouth because it’s as dry as the desert.
I was full of nerves and I can’t think straight anymore. I kept on asking the staff if Alana is still in her room just to make sure that she will be really marrying me. I’ve been here in the venue which is the beautiful garden in front of the great statue of the moon goddess three hours earlier just to make sure.
“William, what the hell are you doing here this early?” My mother asked in confusion, still in her robe.
She just got down here to oversee the whole preparation, to make sure everything is perfect.
“The ceremony will start three hours from now. Please go back to your room now, William.”
But I firmly shook my head at her. Being in my room only made me more nervous that is why I came here.
“Are you fine?” She placed a hand on my forehead. “Are you perhaps feeling unwell?”
I shook my head again and wiped off the sweat on my head.
She is still inspecting me with a knot on her forehead.
“Wedding jitters,” she concluded with a smile on her mouth. “You are really your father’s son, William! He also did the same thing during our wedding but he only waited for an hour, darling!”
“Yes, he told me, mother. I could not be prouder to be his son at the moment!”
She chuckled and sighed hard.
“William, what’s three hours of waiting for you when you will have her for the rest of your life?”
“It matters, mother. I want to be the first person here to see my Alana.”
My mother smiled at me before fixing some creases on my suit. “Okay, I am leaving you down to your weird genetic imprint from your father. Just make sure you won’t faint, okay?”
I swallowed the lump in my throat. “Yes, mother!”
She left me with her head shaking and I remained in my spot unmoving. Laughing to myself because of my silliness, I raked my fingers over my hair.
If only I could hurry the time, then I am definitely fast-forwarding it so I could see Alana now.
I know she will look the most beautiful wearing the perfect dress and jewelry but the one thing I am most looking forward to is her smile knowing that we will both be calling each other husband and wife.
“William… William…” the voice called me.
I paused for a second before closing my eyes. That voice… I could not be hallucinating right now, right? That is really her voice, right? That is really Francine’s voice.
“William, my dear…” the voice whispered in my ear and I could only shut my eyes deeper.
“Francine…”
The voice laughed softly. It sounded so happy.
“My apologies for not being with you right now, William. Just like you, I want to see Alana. I want to witness the two of you getting married to each other. The curse on her has been lifted.”
I gulped and took a long breath. “You might not be here with us now but you are in our hearts, Francine. Thank you for everything. Thank you for taking care of me when I was young until now.”
I heard her laugh once more. “I should be the one to thank you, William. You and Alana. Both of you did it for me. You guys made it possible for me to go back.”
The happiness in her voice is infectious so I know that she’s telling me the truth.
“Are you happy there?” I finally asked even though I can sense that I really do not have to ask her the obvious.
“Of course, I am! I am happy over here so please do not worry for me anymore. This is the first and last time that I will be able to talk to you here. Dreams and premonitions… those will be the next but very rare.”
She took in a long sigh. “Make Alana happy just like what you always do, William. Promise me that.”
“Yes, I will, Francine. Forever until the day we die. We will never forget you, okay? Never. You will always live with us.”
She just laughed and did not answer anymore.
“Alpha prince! Alpha prince, please go back to your designated position. The bride is coming.”
I took a long breath before opening my eyes to the wondering coordinator. Glancing at the watch, I did not even realize that I was already three hours in the same spot. The chairs are all filled with guests and my parents on my side staring at me, all with smiles on their faces. I cannot contain the excitement and anticipation of my heart anymore.
The moon went up higher in the sky full of stars as if they wanted to celebrate with us, too.
“Y-Yes, yes,” I said, almost tripping on my feet as I go back to my spot, a nervous smile on my lips never disappearing as if it will always be there to remain forever.
“Son, you just lost your cool right there,” my father teased me with a smile on his face.
I leaned in to him and whispered. “I am just like you, dad. I saw the wedding video of your wedding with mother, you are as nervous as me.”
He laughed and patted me on my back before going back to the queen luna’s side.
Clearing my throat and concentrating on the direction where Alana is going to emerge, I clasped my hands together and wished that my heart would stay in its cage.
After a while, a classical song began playing and I saw a white snippet of Alana wearing the most beautiful dress I have ever seen in my entire life.
And I could only hitch my breath as I watched my beautiful gorgeous gorgeous woman walk down the aisle for me.
