I had run up the stairs hastily, as the elevator was filled up and I needed to get a file to my boss before the client that was in the elevator got to his office.

I had submitted my resume to the office right after my degree in business administration and management and had dreamt of starting somewhere big like the prestigious Darlton Real Estate and Industries.

“Geez! What crawled up your ass and died? I said I needed to get this done quickly. Your beauty sleep can wait a few minutes, okay?” I told him and continued what I was busy with.
“These are orders from the owner of the company himself. Allow me to do my job!” He shouted, and that was when I noticed his shaking hands.

Realizing I might be putting him in serious trouble, I quickly packed up and ran out of the building with him on my heels.
When I reported the matter to my boss the next day, he sternly warned me to never be anywhere near this office after closing hours.
So as I ran across the many flights of stairs, fearing for the only reasonable pair of heels I had, I knew I had to make it to Mr. Jayden before the elevator. Which, now that I think about it, was an impossible feat
When I got to the office, the guest had literally just walked in, shutting the door behind him. With my heart caught in my throat, I began pacing around the lobby, my own office mocking me from the right. I touched my pocket, planning to call him so he'd be aware of the issue at hand but just as my luck would have it, I'd forgotten it at the Finance department.
Taking steady, deep breaths, I stood outside of his office for a second, then I began walking the length and breadth of it in frustration again. 'How was I going to deal with this?' I asked myself, getting no miraculous response. My life was already gloomy at home so I hated it when it reflected in my office as well.
It was a terrible idea to barge into that office without being invited or expected. The two times I had done that ended quite dramatically.
