The Tripartite Mate Bond Chapter 155: CHAPTER HUNDRED AND FIFTY-FIVE

I knew she hated even the idea of a mirror in any vicinity she was in and the reason she hadn't completely won this war in a landslide victory was because of the armor with infused mirrors that Elena enchanted.

I'd always wondered what the enchantment did and seeing how regardless of the flooding situation and all that fighting, the armors were still intact, I finally understood.

So, as Leticia watched with a horrified expression, I built an aluminum trapezoid shape around us very quickly before she could even react. She tried to raise her hand to release her flood at me but I had a firmer grip on my powers now and I held her tightly while closing us in.

I found that I didn't even break a sweat carrying her large siren form into the air. It was dark inside, the materials I'd used showing no color at all as it was airtight so she didn't really understand what was happening.

“Put me down this instant!” She screeched, her face puffy and red from how angry she was but I was about to change that in an instant.

Even though the new part of me was confident in this whole situation, the real part of me, the human and timid Aurora was praying heavily that this would work because if it didn't, we were fucked; I was fucked way more because I'd locked myself with her in this case.

I don't even know why I'd chosen that shape, I was acting completely based on instincts and the information I had on sirens. Thankfully, I'd done a little research in between our sexual trysts when I'd woken up from coma and this should work; hopefully.

I watched as she angrily raised her tail and hit the surface hard, with the intention of breaking out of it. “What do you think you're doing trying to trap me in here? What sort of dumb plan is this, huh? You think you can just box me away and fly us to – AHHHHHHHHH,” She screamed, and I floated up, a smirk coating my expression as I watched her in pain.

The sturdy aluminum I'd used did crack in some places but it let in streams of light into the container and to her horror, a trap of mirrors.

Her screams made the battle happening down there have a dramatic pause.

“Hey Mama, what's up?” Ares whispered in my mind, the bond drowning me in a cocoon of safety.

“I think she's shedding her skin or something, she looks to be in pain though,”

“Good girl, I knew you could do it,”

His praise unleashed a crazier part of the being I was becoming and the real me shrunk a little bit more.

“Wait, you had options to choose what to look like and you went with that?” I taunted as she screamed her lungs out.

I twirled my finger in the air and tiny pieces of shrapnel gathered at the top of my fingers.

“YOU BITCH!” She bellowed and tried to throw her tail in my direction but I teleported to a different spot, laughing at the little game we were playing. “I'll fucking kill you with my fingers you little brat!” She growled, her voice guttural and filled with pain.

“Don't worry, I don't want you getting your finger dirty. I'll just kill you instead,” I replied, laughing hysterically as I released the shrapnel into different parts of her body.

Her screams made me literally glow and I did again, teleporting all around her as I fired tiny pieces of pain into her morphing form. I don't know what she was changing into and I was fucking excited to find out for gods knows what reason but I was going to make the transformation as painful for her as possible.

I didn't know what I was turning into but this wasn't the time or place for some damn soul reflection.

The mirrors were everywhere and she kept peeling until all that was left was an ugly monster with hollow cheeks and red eyes. I guess that was a goddess thing.

Gradually, horns protruded out of her gnarly head, the sound making me retch.

I didn't like that she'd stopped shrieking and the tiny bit of the real me that remained was really scared of what would happen when she became whatever the fuck she was trying to become.

‘She wasn't dripping water now so maybe burning her wouldn't be a bad idea?’ I thought as I pulled a wooden spike out of thin air and lit the ends of it with fire.

As she stood on bony, yet sturdy legs, her rotten teeth opening to say whatever I didn't want to hear, I hurled the weapon at her, my aim surprisingly accurate; only it never met the destination it was headed for because the bitch caught it.

I reappraised her new form, trying to figure out what she was now. I couldn't give her a form to fill out, you know.

A view of the battle happening on the ground distracted me for a bit as someone was rushing towards Kane with a spike. I didn't know he'd stayed back after his dramatic retort earlier on.

I pushed my hand in the direction of his attacker and he turned around, probably wondering what had happened.

When I turned back to Leticia or whoever the fuck she was now, my heart leaped to my throat.

If her skeleton face could smile, it'd have a huge smirk right now as she had me in a tight spot.

I didn't know what those long claws contained but as she sunk them into my skin, inch after horrid inch, I couldn't help the scream that bubbled out of my throat.

Slowly, a venom crept into my mind and I felt my thoughts change. It was like I was someone else, my mind not my own anymore. Deep down I was still me and I could feel every ounce of pain those damned claws wrought on me but my mind wasn't mine anymore.

“I hate when puny little humans get overconfident,” she said, curling it towards herself. “You're dreaming, believing yourself a fucking goddess just because you learnt a few new skills. I was going to kill you quickly and easily but you have bitten more than you can chew and I'll make sure you beg me for death before I give it to you,”

Her voice no longer had a gender, it was ugly even though it wasn't a physical thing. The sound of it was as though a stone was writing on a chalkboard.

“Baby, I hope you're okay? Let us know if you need help, okay?” Axel said and I growled in irritation.

They were my mates and they were supposed to be protecting me, why were they leaving me to face this beast on my own?

I was angry, livid even and rancid thoughts that I couldn't understand their origins poured into my mind as I lost control of the shape I'd built around us and we fell out of the sky like angels with broken wings.
