The Tripartite Mate Bond Chapter 93: CHAPTER NINETY-THREE
I'd tried opening my eyes several times but got plunged back into darkness, my consciousness fading but this time, as I saw that glimpse of light, I heard voices.
Quickly, I raced to it, craving its touch as the darkness was overwhelming.
“Aurora?” I heard a feminine voice as I struggled to open my eyes.
“Who is it?” I screamed a little too loud, feeling extremely cold.
“It's Lyra. Are you awake?” She asked, and for some reason, I could hear the hope in her voice but before I could reply, the darkness pulled me right back in.

I woke up with a start, looking around my confusing surroundings. The room was weird, but it had a resemblance to the restaurant Kane had taken me and the twins in that natural state. The bed was fluffy and the pillow soft but the confusion i was in didn't allow me appreciate it.
I looked at my body and I was wearing a white shirt and shorts that I didn't remember putting on. In fact, I barely remembered much except… oh
The world's biggest headache hit me as memories of the battle where I'd murdered my own pack mates flowed through my mind, threatening to split my school. I should have just stayed away instead of being such a disappointment. I knew Flynn would say he was right and I wouldn't blame him, I was a disappointment.
By the time footsteps rushed in, I was beside myself crying.
“Aurora? Your highness, she's awake,” an unfamiliar voice shouted, hurting my eyes with how loud it was.
“Not so loud,” I croaked, my voice hoarse.
More strangers rushed into the room, the woman dressed like she had walked out of a Greek’s mythology movie, her flowing gown an emerald blue with a silver belt cinching her waist. The man was in a pristinely tailored suit, a tiny scar above his eye and for some reason, they both looked weirdly familiar, I just couldn't put my finger on it.
Aware of my strange surroundings, I cleaned my eyes quickly and sat up.
“Aurora? How do you feel? I've called the healer, she'll be here in a minute. Try not to move too much,” the woman said to me gently, and I nodded.
“But where am I?” I asked, hoping against all odds that I wasn't kidnapped again.
Since the entire pack was finally aware of my powers, the possibility was high and fainting right in the middle of a battle would probably give anyone the cover to sneak me out.
If not for the splitting headache, I would have called for my mates but I felt like a live band were having a loud performance in my skull and any movement hurt my body as a whole.
“You were seriously injured and depleted and we couldn't risk leaving you in the hands of strangers. They wouldn't know what to do so we had to bring you home,” the man explained, holding his wife's hand.
“What do you mean home? This doesn't look like home and none of you are - wait, where exactly am I?” I asked more loudly, enduring the pain such sharp movements brought me in place for understanding what the fuck was going on.
“Look, you have to calm down, okay? When you are fully healed, we'll talk okay? The healer is here,” she told me and stepped aside for a tall, dark woman with the most beautiful black hair to walk in, two bowls in her hands.
“Hello Princess, welcome back. Lay back so we can get these into you and you'll be as good as new, hm?” She said gently and I was going to protest, not comfortable with taking strange substances from strangers but then I thought about it, if they wanted to hurt me, they would have and I'll be too out of it to do anything about it.
So I obeyed her instructions and she smiled, showing her white teeth and a dimple that delved deep into her right cheek.
She poured the mixtures into a cup and handed it over to me and encouraged me to drink it.
I took a sip and nearly threw it up, it tasted vile and bitter.
I quickly handed it back to her.
“It's bitter!” I complained.
“Yes Princess but it's better that its price is a bitter taste rather than something else, hm? Plants are nicer than magic in that way. They only give you mild discomfort and give us a greater part of themselves so pinch your nose and drink it up, hm?” She encouraged me and I obeyed, albeit hesitant.
“Good, good, finish it up and you'll be good as new soon,”
I finished it and it's bitter taste was stuck to my mouth, and I couldn't help the horrible frown I had on. The girl standing on the other side giggled and when I looked at her, she beamed at me, very excited. I didn't understand these people one bit but I smiled back at her even though I was sure I probably looked like an ogre.
The healer stood and gathered her utensils.
“Try to sleep, it'll work faster that way. You'll wake up feeling refreshed, hm?” She cooed and walked away, leaving me wondering why such a beautiful woman was working with kidnappers or whatever these people were.
I had a lot of suspicions but for now, sleep was calling me and I hoped the next time I opened my eyes, I would be surrounded by my mates.
