The Tripartite Mate Bond Chapter 173: CHAPTER HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-THREE
Giving my powers to another god or goddess might not be advisable but they didn't know about Bez and how he'd changed so if I start explaining it to them, it was only going to cause more disagreements.
I walked out with Elena but on our way down, I saw Zelda's daughter running up the stairs, probably back from playing.
“Elena, I need to go see Lyra. I'll see you later, okay?” I quickly hugged her and teleported back to the glass house.
The little girl was definitely going to oust me to her mother if given the chance and I needed to do this.
I feel crazy at the thought of losing this life that I had gotten after everything I've been through. It just seemed like utmost wickedness to give me a taste of happiness and take it away just for me to spend eternity in a world where gods were going to be playing games with me.
During the process of making me a goddess, I'd been undressed at the last level, only a sheer white cloth covering me and I could see the leering of some gods at me. I felt revulsed then but I feared it'd be different when my memories were wiped.
What if I gave in and didn't wait for my mates? I was beyond terrified of what would happen to me with no friends in sight.
I lay on the bed that we'd made love countless times, a lone tear escaping my eyes as I shifted from one plane to another, the darkness greeting me for a second before everywhere became bright again.
In this plane, I wasn't plain Jane Aurora, I was dressed in black, full make up on, mascara and all, a dangerous aura about me as I walked from the room I'd chosen into the rest of the mansion.
I preferred coming here unannounced so I could properly survey how Bez was doing the job I'd assigned to him.
As I glided over the place, I noticed some changes in the mansion. It was repainted to a pristine white color, the furniture changed and even the chandelier.
“Why was he redecorating?” I wondered out loud as I got downstairs to the soul room.
I saw a woman in there and immediately, I got angry.
“Bez!” I shouted his name, thoughts of what he must have done to convince her to stay going through my mind.
Did he threaten her like he threatened me?
Immediately, the girl went down on her knees, bowing to me.
“Hey, no need for that. Get up immediately, what's going on? Why are you here?” I asked as I took in the state of the room.
“He's.. um.. I,” she stuttered, unable to form a coherent sentence.
This pissed me off even further.
“BEZ!” I screamed loudly in anger, fire already pouring out of my hands.
Immediately he appeared by the doorway, an apron around his neck, I raised my hands to punish him for disobeying my orders about using women for his sick pleasure but I felt the girl's hands wrap around my leg.
“Please don't kill him, please don't kill him,” she begged, making me roll my eyes.
“So now you have her brainwashed. How could you go back to your sick ways after seeing what happened to your father? You thought I'll take it easy on you?”
I forcefully snatched my legs away from the incoherent girl on the floor and walked closer to him.
“Wait, wait, it's not what you think. I promise, this is different!”
“Different in what way? You're gonna treat her right? Does that include promising her hell if she doesn't cooperate like the rest?”
The girl muttered “what?!” behind my back in shock but I paid her no need, I was livid and so was the fire in my hands
“No! No, she's my soulmate! She's my soulmate!” he exclaimed.
“What do you mean, she's your soulmate? You were never human or that type of supernatural so what the fuck are you talking about?”
“You know how I did a U-Turn from my previous way of life? Well, it's because father sent me to earth to find you and I found her instead,”
Gradually, my anger began to dissipate, I was curious instead
“How long did you spend there and how come she's dead already?”
“Well, technically, she's still alive, just spending time with me here,”
I frowned at that.
“You intentionally put your soulmate in a coma just so you can see her? What is wrong with you? So everytime you miss her, you’ll throw her out of a skyscraper or something?”
“Of course not, there's no way. Look, soulmates transcend realms and all she has to say is a few words and she's here. But she can't stay more than three days or her body starts, you know.. slipping into a real coma,”
“Hm. That's something. How come I've never heard about this before?”
“Because it's unheard of. Gods and their bastards never have soulmates because we are not supposed to have soulmates,”
Instinctively, my hands went to my stomach, wondering if that'll be the fate of my child.
“Oh, I understand now.” I said to him before turning to the girl, “Sorry for all of that, we had a pretty bad history before now but he's all changed,” I smiled.
“Yea, I hope you don't mind. I did a little revamping of the place. She said it looked gloomy and the fact that our domain is where souls that just died come through just makes everything worse,”
“I kind of like it. What about your father's mansion, where you able to do something about it?”
“Yes, but my Mom refuses to stay there. That's what the new duplex down there is meant for,” he pointed at the house from the window.
I felt a sense of belonging to this place which was strange because my home was with two handsome Alphas that made my heart and pussy throb but seeing so many possibilities opening up to me made me aware of the fact that I could actually have it all.
“Bez?” I called as I walked out of the Soul Room, the both of them following me.
“Tell me more about this process,”
