The Tripartite Mate Bond Chapter 104: CHAPTER HUNDRED AND FOUR

Overwhelmed with excitement, I got up from where I was bent over but it was too quickly and I went right back to throwing up.

I immediately felt hands grab my hair out of my face and someone else massaged my back, helping me puke my guts without getting my hair more wet than it had been.

“There, sorry baby,” I heard Kane’s voice and I felt the bond sizzle literally from how much I've missed hearing his voice.

I finally got enough strength to get up and I did. I looked up and I saw his face.

“Baby,” I said, my eyes watering and I hugged him so tightly even though he was naked. I didn't care, I was just so happy to see him again.

“Don't keep her all to yourself, brother. I'm going crazy here too,” Axel said and we laughed as I detangled myself from Kane's tight embrace as he reluctantly let me go.

“Princess,” he croaked, unable to keep the masculine facade Kane had on.

“I missed you so much,” I said as I jumped on him as well.

We hugged and stayed that way for a while, my tears falling unabashedly.

I'd thought I'd have to endure their absence from my life for way longer and even though the circumstances surrounding my return weren't favorable, I still couldn't stop the rush of joy that flooded my being.

He tried kissing me but I shook my head, his reaction showing how bad he felt about it. I'm sure he thinks I'm still angry at him but I couldn't even be. I'd missed him so much and we'll talk about the situation later on but for now, I just wanted to baske in his presence

“My mouth probably stinks. I've been in the air for a while now,” I explained to him.

“I don't mind, baby, not at all. Kissing you is a privilege I'm happy to have so please don't deny me,”

“Fine. You asked for it,” I chuckled and kissed him hard.

We had begun making out before Kane coughed and we sprang apart.

I looked around and pack members were pouring into the amphitheater.

“Here,” Kane said, handing Axel a pair of shorts and I noticed he was already dressed.

Thank goodness because their bodies were already driving me nuts and I needed to get checked by the doctor before I engage in the wanton desires that filled my mind.

“Where's Ares?” I asked, noticing his absence.

“He's at Nightshade. But once I tell him you're back, he's definitely going to come running,” Axel informed me.

“I still think you guys should consider merging the pack together. You already have a synergy between each other,” I said to them but they weren't listening to me, taking turns to kiss my neck and smell me.

“Tell them to get you a doctor. All that mushiness is irritating,” Lyra grumbled and I laughed out loud.

“Lyra doesn't want us to give Tharros ideas. And she's a little bit right, I need medication,” I told my mates and the panic on their features was instantaneous.

“What is wrong? Did they hurt you? –”

“They're your own people, why would they do that?” they peppered me with questions and I had to kiss Kane to get him to calm down as he was getting really antsy.

“There was a revolt. That's actually why we are back early. It wasn't what I had expected and I left friends back there so I'll need to go back but I inhaled something and now, all my powers are kind of gone,” I explained.

“You're not going anywhere! We just got you back!”Kane exclaimed, his Alpha tone coming out.

I saw the excited faces of the pack who were waiting for me change to that of pain.

“Brother, you need to calm down. She's not going back today or anything, let's get her to the infirmary first, alright?” Axel said to him, trying to get him to come to reason but I was already upset.

Thankfully, the Alpha command does not work on mates or I would have been forced to abandon Ravena, Tacha and everyone who had defended me and helped Lyra and Tharros rescue me from Flynn and his men.

I walked away from them, the buzz of excitement I'd gotten earlier dying down.

“Luna, we missed you,” a little boy said as I got closer to the small crowd that had gathered to welcome me.

“Really? Come hug me then,” I called out to him excitedly and he looked at his mom and she gave him a prod. I guess he took that as permission and quickly bolted towards me.

I caught him and threw him up before catching him again, making everyone laugh and cheer. I saw the happiness on his face and I carried him back.

“What's your name?”

“My name is Dennis. You look tired Luna,” he commented. Trust children to always say what they see and think.

“Yes, Luna is tired and will be going to the doctor now. Let's make way for her. Dennis, go back to your Momma, okay?” Kane came out of nowhere and took him from my hand

For someone who claims he missed me so much, he sure was acting weird.

At first I wanted to react but I took a deep breath and allowed him to herd me out of the amphitheater that we'd now turned into a dragon pit.

I was walking slowly to avoid getting my head light as I didn't want to throw up again when I felt hands grab me.

“Oof!” I exclaimed as Kane carried me up from the ground and hoisted me to himself. He carried me like a baby and even though he was pissing me off right now, the action melted my heart a little.

I looked at his eyes and they were flickering from his deep green eyes to the darker emerald color of his wolf.

He carried me gently but he walked very quickly to the penthouse where the doctor was already waiting with different medical equipment.

I guess he spoke to him using the mindlink and gave him the password because of the situation. Kane was usually guarded about the penthouse.

He gently deposited me on our king-size bed and Axel came in with a bottle of water and fruit juice for me.

He had to come up on the other side to give them to me as Kane had refused to move, his frame obstructing my view of the rest of the room.

“Alpha, please excuse me so I can see her,” the doctor spoke up after standing awkwardly while Kane hovered over me, his eyes flickering back and forth.

He growled angrily and his fangs pierced his gum, scaring the shit out of me

“Axel, what's wrong with him?” I asked in fear.

“His wolf has been feeling like a failure since you were taken and now you are here, you're talking about going back again. But I guess his human side understands and is wrestling with the animal so he doesn't tear to shreds every man that looks at you who isn't your mate,” He explained and I finally understood what was happening.

I took a hold of his face and he gave me the most adorable puppy eyes while I pressed a kiss to his forehead which was hot.

“Baby, I promise I'm not going anywhere and none of this is your fault, trust me,” I said to him.

“Promise?” He asked me, his eyes filled with hope and I nodded immediately

“I'm not going anywhere without you, and that's a promise. You are so strong and powerful and I'll need you to protect me but you need to let the doctor figure out what's wrong with me. You can shift to your full form and stay on the big bed, is that okay?” I asked him and he nodded.

He slowly backed away before fully transforming and padding over to my side.

Axel couldn't help laughing at his antics.

“He's enjoying all of this, I'm sure,” and we laughed together

Kane growled at us as I began touching his fur, he began to purr like an over satisfied puppy into my hand which made us laugh more.

“How come you're not going as crazy as he is?” I asked Axel as the doctor slowly came up to me to get my vitals.

“Who said I'm not? But my wolf saw your face when Kane began acting up and considering the premise we had parted on, even he knew it was not the right time to give into his caveman tendencies. He still wants to hide you away forever though,” he explained with a smile.

“I'm not upset anymore though. While away, I gave it some thought and I realized you have always loved me before two of them came on board and you wouldn't do something like that so I'm ready to hear some sort of explanation,” I told him and I saw his face light up with hope at the same time I felt a needle piercing my skin.

“Ouch!” I exclaimed and Kane growled deeply, his body rumbling next to mine and I had to quickly school my features as he was about attacking the man.

“I'm sorry about that, Luna. I needed to get your blood, there seems to be something really wrong,”

“I don't understand, I'm simply out of power just like the last time. I'll just ask Lyra what that healer woman gave me so you could find it. All of these are just to give Kane a sense of calmness, I feel fine.”

“It might seem so but from experience, these signs I'm seeing suggest something worse. Like a permanent situation,” he began and my heart flew out of my chest in panic.
