The Tripartite Mate Bond Chapter 107: CHAPTER HUNDRED AND SEVEN

As Axel drove us into the human town, his hand sitting casually on my lap as he navigated the road, Kane sat at the back of my seat, fiddling with my hair.

“You know you could still come over here, right?” He whispered in my ear, sending shivers all over my body.

“Leave her alone, you're stressing the princess,” Axel hissed back at him and I laughed

“Fine, if you won't come over, I won't leave you alone.” He threatened and true to his words, my hair had gotten rough and I had gotten my mascara smeared from laughing so hard by the time we got to the restaurant.

It was a high end one, classy and something I'd never imagined I would be anywhere close to a few months ago.

It was like a glass house with all the green plants littered across the restaurant but it only made the ambience more perfect.

The entire building was made of glass and I wondered how they protected it when fights broke out considering supernaturals were scattered all over the place.

As we walked in, Kane opening the door for me and shutting it in Axel's face like the playful mate that he's turned into, a steward came up to us and took our reservations.

We got seated quickly and menus, my nightmares since I got into this world were handed over to me.

Half of the things written there were very strange to me and the others that were familiar, I couldn't make a choice.

“Sweetheart, is there a problem? You don't like it here? We could go somewhere else,” Kane asked, and I could see that he meant it as he already began reaching for the keys on the table.

I held his hand, a smile bouncing on my face.

“It's not the place. I just don't know what to order. Everything is either strange or something I've been wanting to try. I can't seem to make a choice,” I complained as I dropped the two placards in frustration.

“That's why you've got your face in such a twist? I'll order for you, okay?” Axel cut in and Kane of course wouldn't take that and they began to banter each other.

Then my stomach made a stupid sound, making me blush profusely in embarrassment, especially with the waiter standing there all through the time all of this was happening.

“I'll order the starters and the dessert,” Axel said.

“And I'll order the main,” Kane replied and I shook my head

These two.

They placed the order and with each dish, I was falling in love more with the food than anything else, it was amazing.

I actually moaned out loud when I tasted the soft and well seasoned steak.

“Damn, that's a sound I'll pay a million dollars to hear every damn day,” I heard and we all turned to the vampire who had snuck up to us.

Yes, I said snuck because there was no way my mates wouldn't have smelled him if he didn't do that weird thing they do, disappearing from one spot to another in the name of speed.

“Viktor. How nice of you to join us,” Kane said to him and I could tell he wasn't pleased.

“Well I had to come over and thank the men who have been saving the entire supernatural world from those fiends,” he began

“You're welcome but –”

“And is this the fire lady? I heard you single handedly took down an army of rogues. And damn, you are fine!” He exclaimed, looking at me in a weird way.

I couldn't help the repulsion I felt at his awkward stare.

“Hi, my name is Aurora,” I greeted him, trying to be the bigger person and not hate someone who was simply appreciating my help.

Even though his eyes struggled to stay away from my boobs.

“Lovely name for a lovely queen. I wish I'd come across you before these men, I wouldn't have let you out of my sight,” he continued his shameless flirting.

“Viktor,” Kane warned and I noticed how hard Axel was gripping the glass table.

Since it hadn't broken under such pressure, I finally got an answer to my inner monologue earlier. These glasses were strong as hell.

“What? I'm not allowed to appreciate beauty when I see one? Edwin didn't tell me she was so perfect. And I thought that pretty lady I'd caught running from you was beautiful, this one is ethereal,”

It took me a second but I quickly understood what he meant

“You met Juno?” I asked, shocked at how casually he was trying to get my mates pissed off. I mean, it was one thing to give her sanctuary or whatever their arrangement was but to blurt it out to them like that didn't make any sense.

“Oh yea, that's her name. Her blood just tastes different,”

“Well, betrayal will do that to anyone. Look, I'm not comfortable with your personality, can you leave?” I said to him when he began asking for a chair.

The vampire was looking for trouble and I wasn't going to let him ruin this perfect night.

“Baby girl, you don't have to like me at first but with time, you'll see how much of a real man I am compared to these. I mean, the goddess thought about it and gave you three because one wasn't man enough. Now, I guess she didn't see me because I'm not under her care but I'm ready to restore normalcy to your life,” he said and actually has the guts to sit down.

My mates were weirdly silent as he kept spewing trash and that made me scared.

Kane had wolfed out earlier on today, for something so intangible yet here was, being provoked and he hadn't lifted a finger.

Alex on the other hand had finally let go of his vice grip on the table and sat down with his hands crossed.

“What? No reaction? Jeez. Y'all are so difficult to rile up,” Viktor declared and ruffled Kane's hair before walking away.

“What was all that about?” I exclaimed in shock.

I went back to my food but it was already cold.

“There's a no fighting policy here. Like a safe zone of sorts so once you throw the first punch, you're going to the council dungeon. Ours is a five star hotel compared to it. So everyone plays this game where they try to rile the other up so they can fight. I've fallen for it before and I'm not going there again,” Axel explained to me.

“That's actually wild. He's crazy by the way. I think I want to go home. He's successfully ruined the night. Even my food is cold,” I told them and they waved the waiter over for the check.

“I'm sorry about that, Princess,”

“It's alright. I had a great time and it feels so good to be back,”

“We missed you baby. We were already planning on coming over there to get you,” Kane said as we got up to leave after he settled the check

“Thankfully you didn't come. I don't think you and my parents would have liked each other. Now, is someone going to take me home? I want to feel something else,” I said with a smirk and they looked at me, understanding crossing their eyes.

I can't wait for what is going to happen tonight.
