The Tripartite Mate Bond Chapter 132: CHAPTER HUNDRED AND THIRTY-TWO
The next few minutes were a flurry of emotions and shock, mostly Zelda trying to explain to a confused Ares what happened and I just sat there in the middle of a witch's chalk drawings and wondering why my life decided to take such a drastic turn today.
I walked out of the house and went to get a car key from Axel's office and I headed to the dungeon.
It was raining, a good thing too because my scent would be totally untraceable and they'll have to deal with the text message I'll leave once I am on my way.
My mindlink was still turned off completely and I left it that way because I didn't want anyone stopping me from doing what I needed to do.
I didn't know how to drive but I knew someone who could and I went straight to his cell, his scent unmistakable in the highly secured prison.
NightShade’s dungeon was more sophisticated than that of DarkMoon and I guess that was because of Axel’s security company and his expertise in the field.
But I'd gotten a tour of this place before and I knew how to get in and out. They'd trusted me right from the beginning and I guess no one would expect such from a weak little human.
So I input the passcode to the cell, surprised at my brain's prowess and I walked in on a chained Flynn.
Now, this was the tricky part.
“Hey traitor,” I called, waking him up from sleep.
“Ughhh, what is it now?” He grumbled.
I saw Axel’s work on him and it shocked me how he was worse than Ares despite being the fun mate in all three. The guy looked like shit; bruised lip, pale cheeks and blue tinged neck, I hate to imagine how he got all of that in just a few days.
“I have to do something and you're gonna help me,” I said in a commanding tone, locking the cell behind me just in case they think of looking for me in this direction.
He groggily raised his head and those perfectly shaped eyebrows at me in a “what do you want” motion.
“You said your boss or whoever it is wants me so badly, right?”
“Yea and there's a manhunt for you so best stay close to your protectors,” he replied and threw his head back in pain.
I almost pitied him but then I remembered he was more to blame for all of this than everyone by joining that revolt back in Arkonos and yet he still came after me on this side to kidnap me. I didn't feel anything but irritation at that point.
We'd interrogated him so much about the cure for the infection but it was obvious the bastard was just a lackey and barely knew anything about the inner workings of the people he worked for.
“The manhunt is not my problem. If they can defeat a dragon or three, they're welcome to try but I need you to take me there now,” I stated, watching his reaction as he discovered what I was talking about.
“Wait, do you have a death wish? Why would you want to meet her?” He asked in shock
“Why are you acting like you give a fuck? Last week, you were trying so hard to get me to her and now I'm giving you an opportunity to be a good lackey and get me to her and you're thinking twice about it?”
“But…. But what about your mates?” He stuttered and I remembered how they always made him terrified even though he tried to hide it.
Even during the battle that hurt Ares, he didn't directly engage with any of them, using magical werewolves against them.
“That's why we have to leave immediately, once I untie you, you'll drive me past DarkMoon Pack. I want to check something but you must make sure no one sees us before you take me there. Once we're close enough, you can tie me up and deliver me to them,” I said, laying out half of the plan to him. That was all he needed to know.
“Fine, anything to get me out of here. Your mate is a fucking beast,” he growled
“No, you're simply dumb for thinking you could kidnap me from three alpha wolves. Make sure you don't do anything stupid or this will go terribly bad for you,” I warned and he nodded before I started undoing the chains.
I could hear a commotion from the other side of the dungeon and I knew I needed to get going immediately to avoid getting caught.
Immediately the chains fell off, I dragged a weak and nearly crippled Flynn through the dungeon and outside of it.
The rain had stopped and I knew I'd lost one wildcard but I didn't let that deter me.
If they ever caught me, they'll not allow me to do anything, content with letting the council keep doing their damage control and no real action against these creatures.
I was done with it and I was taking this battle to their doorstep.
I just needed to get out of here first without someone spotting me, especially these damn guards that were everywhere.
It was a herculean task navigating from one place to another while they were searching for me. I could hear them and I knew they were still frustrated about the snapped bond which was why they hadn't taken my disappearance seriously. I knew we had to get to the garage first before they found us.
Guards were stationed at different places and considering I'd rearranged their locations with Chris this morning, I knew where to go and where to avoid but with the current crisis, there were a few run-ins.
“Aurora!” I heard in my head , making me jump with fright.
How many times will this happen in one night? Ughhh!
This was the reason why I no longer had a mate bond. I didn't want to pay much attention to that part, I was just happy they wouldn't go through the consequences of my actions with me as they'd been doing since I met them.
And maybe it was a good thing that the mate bond is gone. They can do without me now and they'll be fine.
“What's up Elena? You should be resting!” I replied to her before dragging Flynn to run with me to the next blind spot.
I didn't care if the camera saw me, I wasn't stealing or anything, I just didn't want them to catch me now so I kept to just avoiding the guards and the bright lights all over the pack.
“Resting? The entire pack is going crazy looking for you and they're holding Zelda responsible for it so how can I rest?” Elena asked and I could tell she was upset.
I nearly ran into a guard but Flynn pulled me back so they passed.
“Luna?” The guard asked, probably smelling my scent.
In panic, Flynn knocked him out with a stick, and I couldn't even get angry with him in the moment, I just hoped he'd be alright
“Look, just give me a few minutes, I'll talk to you soon,” I replied to her as the conversation was distracting me.
A few more steps and we finally got there, the only problem being that Axel was standing right there with Fang.
What should I do now?
