The Tripartite Mate Bond Chapter 135: CHAPTER HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FIVE
I felt the breath of the person behind me for a second before I lit up my arm with fire, ready to attack.
I turned around and I saw an army of creatures; werewolves, vampires and so many others that I didn't even recognize.
The fire in my hand died a natural death.
“We've been waiting for you,” the wizard that had touched me said with a wry smile.
He looked at me with a tired smile and I guess they'd been traveling for a while.
At first, it didn't make sense that we'd stopped right in front of the people that were trying to take me to this darkness but as Flynn started the engine, ready to leave me, I understood why he'd been driving for that long with the guise of finding somewhere with a shade.
“Elena, you guys need to run and go get help okay?” I said to her because I knew she was about to attack Flynn to stop him from leaving me behind.
“What do you mean, run? We can't leave you alone here!”
“Yes you can, if we all get taken, no one would be able to find us so leave now before they change their minds!” I screamed in my mind as the man looked at me expectantly.
“I'll come with you guys without any issues if you let my friends go,” I told the man, ignoring Elena’s protests in my mind.
“They're not of any importance Gary, let them go,” a girl wearing black combat pants and a tank top told him and he nodded his head.
I looked at Flynn who was watching from the window and nodded at him. I knew we couldn't fight these people considering they were like five hundred more of them than us so I took the only option available.
He was shocked at my reaction but I really didn't want to get anyone killed. If they wanted me badly enough to get so many people, I'm sure they would find a way to force me to come with them. I just didn't understand why I was so calm in the face of danger.
Then I watched as Flynn reversed the car and sped off in the direction we'd been coming from. I guess he was going to get his reward somewhere else.
“Let's go,” I told the guy, and he raised his eyebrows in surprise.
Yea, me too buddy but what else could I do?
“Not so fast, we've got to search you!” The lady snapped and I rolled my eyes as she did what was on her mind.
Funny enough, I never thought of getting a tracker and I was solely dependent on Lyra to help me out with my initial plan.
Once the girl was satisfied, she snapped her fingers and a werewolf in human form ran to her with ropes.
“Wait, I said I was going to go willingly, why am I being tied up? It's not like I could defeat all of you or something,” I complained, the false courage I'd had gradually slipping away.
“We don't trust you, fire girl so we have to tie you up,” the man told me and I eyed his face which was filled with little unhealed scars and I just shook my head.
I recognized one of the faces from the first time I was kidnapped and my heart sank in my stomach.
If they were the same people, then my fear was quite reasonable because they've probably been planning this for a long ass time. Also, considering they nearly killed me the last time, I only pray Elena is able to convince my former mates to come for me.
Funny enough, the person that successfully rescued me literally just handed me over to them so it's safe to say that the chances of me making it out of here was getting slimmer by the hour.
After tying me up, I was hoisted to the back of a beat down truck and they began driving into the thick forest.
“Aurora?” I heard in my head.
It was Lyra. That wasn't good; this wasn't like the time in Arkonos where she could just grab me and run. These people had serious weapons and they had strong magic. I could see the markings of a strong wizard on about four of them.
What did Flynn lead me into?
“Lyra! Where are you? I've been kidnapped, go get help!” I screamed back, hoping the connection didn't disappear before she got the message.
“Get help? You don't think I can take them all by myself? How do you expect me to simply turn back while you're being taken?”
“They're too much and they have lots of wizards and I even saw someone with a spear. I fear they might be too much so please, go get help, okay?” I pleaded with her.
If she got hurt while trying to rescue me, I'll never forgive myself.
“But how do I commu…nicate w..with them?” She asked, the bond cracking as we traveled farther.
“Don't go to Kane, find Elena and take her to Ares and Axel, they'll know what to do,” I told her, remembering Kane’s betrayal.
Everything just seemed to be going downhill 😔
I guess she tried answering me again but I didn't hear what she said, as the truck was going faster.
I tried looking outside to get a sense of the direction but I was in an awkward position.
This type of kidnapping seemed weird, there was no violence except, well, me being tied up like this and then everyone was focused on getting to wherever it was we were heading to, not minding me one bit.
It took a long time, night covering us all before the truck stopped and I began hearing different voices in the background.
I waited for a while, thinking they'd come get me or something but no one did for a while and each time I tried getting up, I just got myself in a worse position as the rope was tied to the truck in a weird way.
I got tired of struggling and just stayed in that position until I dozed off.
Then I felt drops of water on my face, shaking me out of slumber.
“Hey! Don't do that to her, are you dumb?” I heard a familiar voice and I hated how my heart was getting broken over and over again by different people from my past.
“I'm sorry Commander, I just wanted to disorient her so she wouldn't attack anyone,” the person, a female as well, replied.
“Untie her immediately, she wouldn't hurt her mother,” the woman replied and it hit me.
I was going to be twenty two in a few weeks and I still hadn't figured out why my life turned out the way it did. Why on earth did my foster mother kidnap me?
