The Tripartite Mate Bond Chapter 40: CHAPTER FORTY

The request was probably given with good intentions but it simply added to my growing pile of worries.

“Sure, I will try not to feel anything” I answered in a tiny tone.

“Hey, look at me. There's no need to feel sad, all of this is temporary. And don't mind Ares, his demons will let him go soon enough and he'll come to his senses. The fool thinks he's protecting you by rejecting you”

I scrunch my face in confusion.

“Protecting me from what?” I asked, a little panic seeping into my mind but I tapered it down.

He sighed.

“He will tell you more when he's ready. For now, go shower and get ready. I'll have Juno bring you some clothes. You'll be leaving soon” he says, smiling at me before leaving.

Kane and I have not been alone for a while and I felt shy in his presence.

“You okay?” He asks and I nod quickly and run off to the bathroom.

I came out with the bathrobe and the room was filled up.

The former Luna, the Beta pair and some other men were in the big room.

I guess the bathroom was soundproof because I hadn't heard anything until I opened the door.

I shut it immediately and began panicking.

They all know how my moods tend to affect my powers so why are they allowing people to come close to me? What if I hurt someone? I was so scared of my own self and it was shitty of them to not consider this.

Someone knocked on the bathroom and I opened it a little. It was Juno.

“Luna, please come out, you don't need to hide from your people” she said with a smile.

I cleared my throat and steadied my breath

“I wasn't hiding, I didn't expect so many people and I'm not even dressed” I replied.

“Oh, wait for me.” She turned and went to the walk in closet on the other side of the house and came back with some clothes.

“Here, if you need anything else, let me know”

“Thank you so much. I'll be right out”

She smiled and waved me away.

I clumsily got the clothes on; jeans and a cute top. I wished I had time to raid her wardrobe. She has amazing taste even in the smallest things.

I took deep breaths and tried to convince myself I wasn't a walking disaster before I opened the door.

Immediately, the three of them spoke in my mind at the same time, freaking me out.

“Sorry, we didn't mean to scare you. Sit with any of us, we just want to be able to calm you down” Kane said.

I nodded and walked to him.

I said hi to the former Luna before I got to Kane and she hugged me like I had just returned from the dead; that was yesterday. Today, I'm about to be separated from the two people I was beginning to develop feelings for.

“Good morning, Luna” the rest of the men in the room greeted, bowing their heads in respect.

“Oh, Hi. You don't need to do.. that” I stuttered like a little child. I didn't expect that so don't blame me.

They exchanged looks between themselves and I felt like I had done something wrong.

“Is that like a bad thing?” I tried sending a message back the same way but I realized I must have done it the wrong way because it was obvious everyone heard it.

“Of course not, Luna. We were just surprised. Most Lunas crave respect but you are not obsessed with it. We are impressed.” One of the men, this one wearing a suit, – making him look too formal for the setting – replied.

“That doesn't mean you'll not respect her. For everyone else, respect is earned but for her, it's her birthright. There's no questioning it” Ares declared.

“Of course Alpha.” They responded.

Beta Christopher’s phone rang and he went out to answer it.

“So Princess, we were having a meeting here and my council insisted you have your Luna Ceremony before you go ahead to Alpha Kane's pack. What do you say?” Axel said and Juno went giddy at the suggestion.

“Say Yes! Please please please” she cheered, making everyone in the room laugh.

I smiled and nodded.

“Amazing! We'll begin preparations immediately. Juno will take you shopping. Juno, take eight guards. If anything happens to her, you might as well disappear because you won't be able to deal with the wrath of three Alphas, okay?” Axel threatened, a creepy smile on his face.

Juno blinked in fear

“Yes Alpha. I'll protect her with my life.”

“I'm happy to hear that”

I was about to leave when the three of them began licking my neck.

Shocked, I tried pulling away, and instead of letting me go, they made very unnatural growls from their throats which scared me while turning me on.

To make it worse, people were watching us, including their mother!

I was embarrassed and I knew my hand was going to erupt in fire if I didn't leave immediately.

I looked at Ares who was trying to control himself and I tapped his chest.

“Please” I moaned.

“Axel. Kane. Stop, she's not ready” he told them and I took that as my cue to run off

Juno found it quite amusing as she was laughing her butt off

“Their mom was watching me get nearly eaten out!” I exclaimed in frustration and embarrassment.

“Well, that's Alphas for you. I still don't understand how you are untouched. What are they waiting for?” She replied.

Well, they are not ready to burn the whole pack, for one but I wasn't going to tell her that.

“We are taking it slow. I'm still a little bit human, I can't feel as much as you guys” I explained to her.

“Their control is definitely unparalleled. Most Alphas would have seduced the fuck out of you. In fact, by now, you would have been pregnant” she chuckled, getting in the elevator and I joined her.

“Pregnant? I'm not sure I'm ready for that”

She laughed.

“It's between you guys but I believe as an Alpha, it's one thing that their wolves will be obsessed with. And now you have two packs to ensure its longevity. I don't envy you, babe” she said as we got off.

She saw her mate and a weird looking man. I think he must have gotten shocked because his hair stood straight up.

She ran and hugged the new man.

“Fang! I've missed you”
