The Tripartite Mate Bond Chapter 86: CHAPTER EIGHTY-SIX

I've never been one to lead anyone all my life so suddenly having to be the one everyone met for different things in the pack had me at my wit's end. I had Axel to help me out since Jayden was in town handling our human businesses but even he wasn't used to this part of Alpha duties and I was still pissed at him for allowing Elena to kiss him.

He keeps saying he pushed her off immediately but he had been allowing her to touch him way before that point and that was why she had the audacity to touch what was mine. He gave her that laxity and the earlier he takes responsibility for his actions, the earlier we can move past it but for now, Elena is on kitchen duties and I've told Scarlet to keep her Rider in line or we'd have to have issues.

I generally avoided any direct altercations with her or anybody in general but Kane’s half brother was stirring up trouble all around the pack, leaving me to pick up his mess.

Like the one I was rushing to right now.

The ruckuses I had had to quell in the last two days were beginning to give me gray hairs and it was always connected to Dante.

“What on earth is going on? I've told you guys not to let Dante get anyone of you riled up against each other again or there'll be severe consequences. Did I have a clown’s uniform when I said that? Or you all are just trying to make me feel like you do not accept me as your Luna?” I snapped at the two guys trying to gut each other.

Thankfully they separated from each other and had the decency to feel guilty.

“We're sorry Luna, but this has nothing to do with the Alpha's half brother. He had the audacity to sleep with my mate!” One of them, Ryan I think, said as he cleaned the blood that was dripping from his slowly healing wound.

The pack had begun gathering up on hearing this

“Jordan, please tell me I've developed a hearing problem. What is he talking about?” I snapped, getting angry already.

“Luna, please he's the one that is crazy. Toria turned eighteen right in front of me and the goddess paired us together so what was I supposed to do? Go around asking the pack if anyone else wanted her? He's my best friend and should know that I'll never lie about this. She is my mate and we've sealed the bond, he should go find someone else!” Jordan explained rapidly, his dark hair getting in his face repeatedly.

“Here, tie your hair up. You both go clean yourselves up and come to my office. This is a delicate matter,” I told them, not wanting to subject the innocent girl to judgment from the pack seeing as she was an Omega.

The boys nodded and were about to leave when Dante arrived at the scene and stopped us.

“Come on, Aurora, what is delicate about this? You and my half brother are the only freaks the moon goddess gave this weird mate bond too and the pack still doesn't believe you guys aren't lying but we're watching and gradually, you're proving it. But for this situation, it's quite simple. The girl has chosen, even if they're not mates. You don't need to keep encouraging the abomination that is multiple mateship,” he grated, openly disrespecting me and shitting on my position.

Axel growled and was about taking over the situation but I wasn't about to have two of them fight each other again. Axel beat the shit out of him yesterday and he was definitely begging for it again but I was over his crap.

“Guards, seize him and put him in the dungeon and have him tied up with silver chains. Get the enforcer to find out how he knows about my father while you're at it. If you want to be Alpha so much, wait for Kane to get back so you can challenge him but you don't get to make a ruckus just because I'm the one in charge,” I spoke with authority, turning to the guards that followed me everywhere.

“What are you waiting for?” I snapped, pushing them to action as they wrestled and contained Dante, amidst his hurtful and degrading words directed at me.

Axel got more angry than I imagined possible and knocked the bastard out and he was taken down to the dungeons and everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief.

“Sorry it took me so long to do that, I was dreading having to use a show of force but I guess it's needed in situations like this, right?” I say to the pack.

“Yes Luna. We were terrified when we found out he was back but the saving grace was that Alpha Kane was no longer too young to do anything. Back then, his father, our late Alpha allowed Dante do whatever he wanted since his mother was his true mate and she died so tragically but the rest of us suffered his heartless antics,” Jerry, the chief guard explained to me and I immediately felt bad that I hadn't done something about him a while ago. In fact, i should have locked him up immediately he said those disgusting things to me yesterday night. The mere thought of it made me feel so angry. To men like him, my maye bond with Axel, Kane and Ares was simply all about the sex and of course, the sex was amazing and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world but it was a blessing for several other reasons especially for the fact that the packs stopped killing each in a stupid cycle of revenge. Remembering the conversation fueled my decision to have him locked up and tortured as I suspect Kane would have done way worse if he was here.

***FLASHBACK***

I had finally settled down after a harrowing day of taking account of the pack's activities and dealing with slacking workers who thought the alpha and Beta’s absence meant it was a public holiday. I brought out my tough side as encouraged by Lyra’s millennia of ruling experience and dealt with everyone accordingly but I'm the end, I was exhausted so I simply went into Kane's office, taking in his scent to soothe my aching heart.

I'd barely spoken to him today and was about to call him when the door opened and in walked the primary source of my headache; Dante.
