The Tripartite Mate Bond Chapter 188: CHAPTER HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-EIGHT
The days rolled by with me doing nothing but relaxing and recuperating. I'd told Bez to turn away every visitor, even if it was Zeus himself.
This was because I knew how weak I was and I didn't want to give anyone the impression that I was unable to defend myself or my territory.
Also, I was missing my mates so much that all I wanted to do was curl up in bed with them for as long as possible, but that was impossible. It seemed like fate had a problem with me or something.
When the time the coronation day for my mates rolled by, it seemed everyone in the mansion thought I was going to honor Zeus’s call.
“Do you know how to get there?” Kora, Bez’s mother asked as I walked out of the house in search of her son.
“Where?”
“Aren't you headed to mount Olympus?”
I frowned before realizing why she'd asked.
“Oh, no, I'm not going there yet. I have something I need to attend to before that,” I answered with a smile.
“You're defying the King of the gods?!” She exclaimed in shock.
“You make it sound like I'm committing treason. I simply have a prior commitment and I can't divide myself in two for it,”
“But it's Zeus my lady, if you begin to defy him now, you might accrue enemies and that's not a good thing,” she advised.
“Look Kora, my mates are getting crowned King of the supernatural world today. They need me there but Zeus on the other hand simply wants to see if I'm a threat or not and I'm obviously not one so he's just going to wait a few more days, okay?”
I got to the Soul Room and got Bez’s attention.
“You're aptly dressed for the visit to mount Olympus. I just hope Queen Hera doesn't see you as competition,” he said as he came outside.
I looked at my dress, a golden colored dress with belt and diamond neck. It wasn't too dramatic but it brought out my color and made me look like a goddess but the way Bez was looking at it, it seemed like I'd overdressed for the occasion.
“Princess?” I heard and turned around in shock.
Axel was here.
“Honey, you're here,” I said and walked up to him as he got down from the door steps to meet me. “Am I late? I thought I still had time,”
He hugged me tightly, inhaling my scent as though he thought he'd never see me again.
“What's wrong?” I asked in confusion as the hug was getting quite long. I didn't mind but we had a coronation to get to.
“I've missed you so much,” he sniffled and kissed my hair affectionately, “it's been over a week and we've been working so damn hard. I've wanted to come since but just got swamped,”
“It's been about three days here but baby we need to leave, time runs twice as fast here as on earth. We don't want to miss the coronation,”
“Wait, you're not going to see Zeus?” Bez interrupted.
“Forgive my manners love, this here is Bez and his mother,” I pointed to Kora.
Suddenly, his demeanor changed to anger and before I could do anything, Axel landed a swift but hard blow on Bez’s nose, spilling golden blood.
“That's for all the crap you put my mate through,”
I opened my mouth in shock. I didn't know why I felt so proud of him, my pussy even did a little dance in excitement.
Having someone defend me even after the deed has been done did feel amazing.
“I'm sorry about that Bez, Alpha males are always angry,” I apologized, but I couldn't get the smugness out of my tone, “baby you shouldn't have done that. He's changed now,” I reprimanded my man.
“That doesn't mean he's not gonna get what's been coming for him. I'm sure Ares is going to want his own pound of flesh,” he replied with a shit eating grin.
“Come on!” Bez groaned in frustration.
His wound had healed already but I knew his pride was way more wounded than his nose and that would take longer to heal.
“I'll be back soon guys, no visitors are allowed please,” I said to Bez before I took Axel back to earth in one second.
Immediately, I began feeling the pull of the earth on my energy. I'd need to rest up again before going to Mount Olympus or stand the risk of being weak in the presence of a myriad of gods with various intentions, and I doubt any of it would be good.
“Wow!” He exclaimed as we landed in the capital, “it wasn't this swift when I visited. I kept getting splitting headaches for the two minutes that trip lasted.”
“I'll ask Bez about it when I get back,”
We held hands and began heading to the throne room and I looked at the ambiance of the new building.
“You guys work really fast,”
“The vampires came to help so it was quite easier,”
I frowned at that.
“I do not trust them one bit and my instincts have been right these few months,”
“I know how you feel love but we had to show them that this was an all inclusive system even though it's a patriarchy. Hopefully, it won't lead to violence,”
We got the huge doors and before he could open the door, someone did from the other side and it was Ares.
A smile lit up my face as he rushed and lifted me off the ground in a bone crushing hug.
I laughed at his excitement and he kissed me immediately.
“I miss you too, my love,” I said, happiness overwhelming me and making me forget the discomfort I'd been feeling.
He dropped me on the ground and kissed me again, his face filled with joy.
“I wish you didn't have to leave again."
“Yea, it's been hell here without you and we can't even take a fucking break,” Axel groaned beside me.
“I know. It wasn't any better for me either but this is our situation and we'll just have to take it one day at a time, okay?” I assured them and they both kissed me again before we turned towards the throne room.
About a thousand people were gathered in the big hall and as Ares opened the door for us, a smile lit up my face.
We were about to start a new generation of peace and progress and I was a part of it.
Who knew I'd come this far in life?
With a feeling of gratitude to the universe, I walked with my mates to the thrones designed for us.
It was quite sad that mine would be vacant forever.
