The Tripartite Mate Bond Chapter 26: CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

If he likes me, he'll keep me? Have I been transported to the age of slave trade? This was horrifying and I didn't know when I started crying.

“Look, you need to cease the unnecessary waterworks, we're already at the door. Don't look him in the eye and you might be lucky. If you think I'm cruel, you haven't met Benjamin Locke.” He said and grabbed my hand, dragging me forward

When we got to the door, he knocked three times and he threw on his charm face.

It was creepy as usual and he looked like he was on some experimental drug that made me people Looney but he was handsome enough to pull it off. If I wasn't being held hostage by him, I may have found it attractive.

We stood there for an awkward ten to twenty seconds before the door opened. I had a glimpse of the man before I quickly looked down, avoiding eye contact. He had gray hair and was like a washed down version of the Zeus character in the movies.

“Hello Father. This is Aurora, I told you about her earlier” Bez announced.

“Well son, I've gotta hand it to you, you know how to pick them. Come on in, pretty” the man said, taking my hand.

I looked back at Bez, panic in my eyes and he looked terribly sad, making my fear skyrocket. I didn't look at him anymore. It didn't matter what happened, I had to believe my mates would rescue me from this hell.

The fear and trepidation increased when we walked into the dining hall. I couldn't call it a room, it was too massive with over fifteen chairs set around a big table. I've only been given fruits to eat since I got here so I believed that was the only food that was edible on this plane. Well, I was wrong.

The table was overflowing with a feast and I suddenly felt a huge surge of hunger like I've never felt before.

“Little Doe, I hope you like my little offering. It was specially prepared for you” his father said to me, taking me to a chair at the head of the table.

He drew it out for me and I shook my head and began walking back. He looked at me, a dark glint in his eyes.

“You know, for the past two hundred years, my son has never been excited about his women. He would just show up with one and we'll throw lots on who gets to keep them but with you, he seemed set on having you so naturally I knew I had to keep you to myself. Now be a good little Doe and sit.” He said, his face hardening in anger.

I knew he wasn't one to be disobeyed so I sat down immediately, tears spoiling my makeup. I couldn't stop myself from hoping someone would rescue me from this hell.

Bez walked to the opposite end of the table and was about to sit when his father stopped him.

“Sonz don't be a crybaby. Look, if you want, you can have your old toys back. All of them but I'm keeping this one. Now come closer, I don't feel like shouting today” he said, beckoning him to come closer.

Bez didn't even protest, in fact, since we got in here, he has not uttered a word and this made me more afraid. What could his father have done to make him so scared of him? Or maybe it was anger that was brewing in his eyes.

From their interactions so far, it was obvious I wasn't going back to the big house.

The father clapped his hands together and half naked ladies trooped out from a door on the left side of the room and filed in a meat line, serving the dishes in a coordinated manner. I made eye contact with one of them and they looked away very fast. Her eyes were sullen and sad, making it obvious that she had been beaten to submission.

It dawned on me that this was a huge misogynistic realm, and there was no one checking them or stopping what they were doing.

I couldn't even think of helping them out as I was unable to rescue myself. The realization that this might be my life after this dinner made me unable to eat the delicacies that were heaped on my plate.

My counterparts had no such problems and in a few seconds, they were eating away. I looked around for his mother and I guessed he didn't let her come out because he was planning on adding me to his list of wives.

“You should eat. You don't know when next you'll have the opportunity to do so” Bez said, putting a vegetable in his mouth.

“Don't scare the little girl, being with me is not as bad as he portrays it to be. I simply have rules and if you follow them, - which I'm sure you would, you're a good girl - you will be very happy here.”

“That was what you told Bethany and you knew I loved her!” Bez shouted, hitting the table.

This obviously provoked his father and right before my eyes, the man's eyes turned red.

He rose to his full height, his neck strained as anger overtook him.

“I have warned you never to mention that accursed name in this house!” He shouted at his son

“Why won't I when you are about to do the same thing! I've told you, certain types of people are fragile yet unbreakable and you can't have them. But you refuse over and over again! You have handed over this duty to me, how come you forget how it works” he roared back.

Chills ran down my spine. I was like a rat watching the fight between two lions. Any squeak and they'd pounce on me.

I thought Bez was going to back down, I mean, I would have. His father was livid; I guess this Bethany person was a sore topic between them. But Bez seemed ready to challenge his father and I watched in shock as he rose from his seat as well, his eyes changing to that scary red shade that only came out when I spoke harsh words to him, in the hopes he'd let me go.

He never did, by the way, instead, he hit me until I stopped screaming. Then he'll return back to his normal self and carry me into the bathtub.

But regardless of all these, he seemed a better option than his father. The man's mind was more crooked than wicked. He seemed the type to take pleasure in pain and if one looked at these women, you'd see marks and scars all over their beautiful bodies.

I watched their stare off, and the fear in the eyes of the serving ladies. I was terrified and scared to make a sound, I was sure a single peep from me would make them turn their anger to my direction.

They stared at each other for an uncomfortable amount of time before his father blinked.

“Fine, you take her out of my sight!

But just this once! You will not deny me my desires again. It is the only succor I get in this prison I was cast in. I serve a punishment greater than any other and I have passed it on to you. That doesn't mean you get to cross me so don't provoke me further. Leave!” he ordered.

I quickly jumped out of the chair, scrambling out of the room with great haste.
