The Tripartite Mate Bond Chapter 87: CHAPTER EIGHTY-SEVEN

I breathed deeply in slight annoyance, wishing for him to disappear so I could get back into the peaceful moment I was in before he came in.

“I'm not working at the moment please, whatever you need, talk to Axel or Jayden. He's back from the human world,” I said, dismissing him but that seemed to float over him as noisily drew out the chair in front of the table and sat down, facing me.

“Aurora…” he drawled, his tone sounding too low for my liking.

“I spoke English, right? Or have I developed strange tongues?” I asked in irritation.

Even the moment where I craved peace in the solitude of my mate’s office, he still found a way to disturb it.

First, it was the students complaining of a rat infestation which we quickly solved, then the hunters didn't see anything to catch only to realize a certain someone had chased them far away with a strange fire and so many other mischievous acts since yesterday after Kane and Ares left. I'd been avoiding any form of interaction with him since Kane never really gave me details about his brother and I didn't want to cross a line.

Cora on the other hand was shut inside with her mate who had nearly been killed because of the asshole sitting in front of me like he owned the world.

“It doesn't matter how hard you struggle to prove yourself to them, Aurora. They'll always know you are weak as fuck. You know what, I have a wonderful suggestion. Hm? You listening?” He asked, and I pressed the dial button on the phone and dropped it closer to him but faced it down because theres no way I'll be able to verbally explain this to Kane so it was best he heard it directly.

“Go ahead, Dante. What could you possibly do so the pack would see me as worthy of them?” I asked sarcastically.

I wasn't bothered about the pack, after the Luna Ceremony, they've been making me feel important and wise, always asking me for directions on several matters, especially personal ones. Thanks to Lyra’s extensive knowledge, I was able to help out.

But apparently, Dante felt I was insecure about the pack's loyalty and is here to offer his help.

“Simply add me to your little reverse harem, hm? While my brother is away, doing goddess knows what, I'll be taking care of you. I see your third mate is not even able to take care of you but once I put my dick right inside of you, you'll be able to breathe easier and they'll know a strong man is right behind you. In fact, you don't even need to do anything. Relax, go shopping, I know my brother is very rich so you can take a good rest and I'll handle everything like a real man. What do you think, great idea, no? And oh, don't worry about what they'll think. They believed you were mated to three men, they'll believe anything else you say, even if it's a sudden fourth mate.” He said with so much confidence I wondered if something was wrong with my hearing.

“Axel, please come to Kane’s office, I'll leave the mindlink open so you can hear what this bastard is saying,” I sent to Axel and I could hear him move from his position, confusion obviously clouding his mind, that is until I prompted Dante to explain further.

“I'm confused or maybe I'm dreaming but correct me if I'm wrong, you want to have sex with me? Your brother's mate?” I spluttered, irritated and I could feel Lyra's anger swell as well.

I had to remember I couldn't use my powers no matter what, especially in the presence of such a suspicious person but damn, it would have been so satisfactory to watch him burn.

“Yes, Aurora, you heard me right. It's only right, after all, he allows those bastards from our enemy pack to fuck you anyhow they like so why can't he let his brother go in too? He won't even be upset and I'll help you out with the pack, win-win. Brilliant idea, right?” he expressed, his hands making irritating gesticulations.

"Has anyone ever told you how sick you are mentally?" I asked him angrily but he waved me off.

"Come kn, don't pretend the idea isn't a little bit appealing. I'm so many solutions wrapped up in one, all for you. I'm cursed to neve have a mate but you can pay me back for helping you out by letting me in on your own. It's only fair," he added, seemingly oblivious to my rising anger. If only he knew how much fire i was holding back right now. I hated how I suddenly had so much power but couldn't even use it.

I heard Axel’s anger rise as well and I was so grateful for his presence in the pack because I would have not been able to hold back my anger or that of Lyra im that moment if this bastard didn't get that smile wiped off his face.

And to my utmost joy, Axel barged in and pummeled that evil smirk off his face.

I then picked up the phone to talk to Kane but someone else responded and said he wolfed out angrily and went for a run.

With the major problem finally solved, I finally got the pack back to work.

In the evening, we all gathered for dinner and someone got up from the pack, climbed on a wooden table and began clicking his glass with a fork, calling our attention to him.

“Everyone, I want us to raise our glasses and give a toast to our Luna, the bravest, smartest and the most beautiful of all in the supernatural world!” He bellowed and the entire Pack began howling and chanting my name, giving me a near permanent blush.

Some guys came to carry me up in the midst of the excitement but Axel drove them away with a growl and they laughed, raising their hands in surrender.

“Thank you so much guys. I feel seen and appreciated and I'm happy to finally have a family that loves me,” I said to them, and they began howling again in joy and I was about to put in my ear plugs when I heard a distinct sound that didn't belong.

“Guys, wait. Can you hear that?” I called, silencing everyone.

I didn't care if heightened hearing raised suspicion but I needed them to be quiet so we could figure out what was happening.

Before we could figure out where the sound was coming from, a guard ran in, blood pouring out from his severed arm and tears in his eyes.

“Luna, we're being attacked!” He screamed, sending us all into a terrified frenzy.
