The Tripartite Mate Bond Chapter 43: CHAPTER FORTY-THREE

“AURORA’S POV”

I had never allowed myself to have friends because I feared I'll one day spill my secrets to them and I'll probably get hacked to death by the man that raised me.

But now, I was going on a shopping spree with my friend; two things I'd never imagined possible.

I realized how much of a life I was denied when I didn't even know what type of clothes I wanted. I was sure my mates sent us to get an outfit for the ceremony but Juno decided it was allowed for us to get more.

“You don't know how rich your mates are, Aurora. There's no amount you can spend here that'll put a little dent in their personal accounts” she gushed, putting one blue, floor length gown on the arms of our attendant.

The moment she walked in here, the face of the shop owner lifted in a huge smile.

“But I thought the pack business was meant for the pack, how come they are rich on their own?” I enquired, following her like a lost puppy.

“There are pack businesses that they handle but they also have their own investments. They don't even take salaries like the rest of us. Love them to bits” she chuckled.

“That's actually cool. They can focus on making the Pack grow with all available funds. I will have to look at Kane's pack and see if they have the same stability”

“I think they'll even be richer. They stay closer to town than we do so they have access to a wider range of business opportunities. We deal mostly in agriculture. I heard Alpha Kane has a huge Real Estate company?” She asked

“Oh, yea. It is huge. The biggest in the city. I worked there for a while.” I replied, my mind reeling at the fact that in less than three months, my life has taken a drastic turn.

“I can't believe you were working with all types of supernaturals and you didn't even notice it”

“I mean, these are stuff you only read in books. I wonder how I would have been able to keep it a secret if I had friends. There's just no way anyone would suspect it. Also, I had strict instructions not to be in the company after closing hours. I was suspicious but I honestly thought we were dealing with some Mafia or something. Imagine my shock when Kane’s Beta transforms into a living wolf” I explained, making her laugh.

We had gone on like this, making trips back and forth in different areas of each shop and handing over the bags to the security guards.

When we were at the lingerie shop, Juno wouldn't let me cheeks stop turning red.

“You know you need to get some! Come on!! This will make them lose their minds and ravage you. Especially after your Luna Ceremony. I doubt you guys are leaving today. You will spend the night being driven to several orgasms. Now go and check if these are a perfect fit” she gushed, laughing at my reaction.

“Where? The changing room is over there” I pointed in the other direction.

“I don't know if you are aware, babe but you are mated to three possessive Alpha Males. If any other eyes see you naked, I fear for their lives. I've instructed them to clear that area for you. Once we figure out the size you are most comfortable in, we'll leave. I can see you are tired” she said.

“You are right. Thank you Juno. For everything, except this one. I fear you are enjoying it more than I am” we laughed and I went to the room she directed me to.

Only this wasn't a changing room.

It was a door that led to a back alley.

I looked down the road and I saw a van packed but its back doors were open.

I was about to turn back when someone grabbed my neck and injected me with something. I struggled to stay awake but I realized I couldn't even form a coherent thought. The last thing I could do was scream in my head.

“Help!”

When I woke up, I opened my eyes. I looked around and I saw one of the guards that was with us from the pack.

I was about calling him to help send a message to someone in the pack so we can be rescued but I noticed he was way too relaxed to be a hostage.

He was still holding his gun and he was sitting comfortably, eating a bag of chips. His chewing was grating on my ears irritably but I had to pretend I was still asleep.

I looked around the van and there were no windows, just a small door connecting to the front seat

I tried sending the mind messages my mates taught me but I knew it wasn't going through. Something was in that injection.

Even though I felt lethargic, I was able to think and create a plan. I was sure this would have worn off by the time I got to wherever they were taking me to and I'll be able to send a message to the pack.

Then I remembered Juno! Who knows what must have happened to her? I hope my mates do not hurt her for this, I probably went through the wrong door and this happened.

I cursed my own foolishness for this. There were no other obvious doors but I should have asked her to take me instead of veering off on my own.

The part I failed to understand was the guard. Why was he with them?

Then as I was lost in thought, I heard a voice from the front of the van and it sounded eerily familiar.

My body became hot and I was scared of lighting this van on fire. Maybe I should, I won't burn but something stopped me in my tracks.

The connecting door opened and out stepped Juno, a wild look in her eyes and I couldn't pretend to be asleep anymore.

It was Juno and she didn't look like she was kidnapped.
