He tied the stuff around my eyes, blocking my vision.

“Where are we going?” I wondered out loud, confused about the direction he was taking.

Finally we got to where they were taking me to and dropped me on the ground.

“Yes please,” I replied, tired of the tension rolling through me.

Gradually, the tie was loosened and I opened my eyes to a crowd of people, decorations and my parents in front.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!” Everybody screamed and I opened my mouth in shock

“I completely forgot about it,” I said and rushed to hug them both.

“Well your parents decided to remind us and here we are. I hope you like it?” Axel asked

“Yes! Everything is perfect,” I replied and came down from the podium and began to hug as many people as I could as the music resumed.

It was a full blown party and my heart was filled to the brim with joy.

“Aurora,” I heard someone call me so I turned around.

“Kane?”

“Your parents invited him,” Ares replied, his hands scratching his head and I could see he was tense about it.

Kane was a sore thumb with all of us and nobody really wanted to deal with it so brazenly but he was here now.

“Hey, how are you?” I decided to play nice.

“I'm sorry for crashing your party. I just heard you'll be leaving and I wanted to say goodbye,”

“Hm, news travels really fast,” I replied in shock.

We spoke for sometime, talking about anything else but us as the party roared on.

He took me to the pack’s common room and I quickly sat down as my legs began to shake.

“Yes, just feeling a little weak. Must be the baby,” I said and then shot Ares a mindlink message about my current situation. I didn't want to be alone with Kane, the mate bond was still very much alive and I didn't want to do anything I'd regret. Besides, he was being a perfect gentleman and hasn't said a bad word since we started talking.

“You're pregnant?” He exclaimed in shock, “wasn't that the reason you threw me out of your life? You'd rather they be the one to do it?”

“Can we not do whatever the fuck this is right now?” I asked, but it came out like a plea. I could feel my body weaken with each oxygen I inhaled.

“I just want to know why you'll take out our baby only to get pregnant for them in the same breath!”

“Because she had a choice in it Kane,” Ares replied for me, his voice filled with anger, “you deceived her and that stupid accusation cannot fly in here. She's not heartless like you and definitely didn't take out any child. She lost the baby and you didn't even flinch or bat an eyelid. Instead, you sunk your cock in another woman a few breaths afterwards so check yourself or I'll walk you out of my pack!”

They stared at each for an uncomfortable minute before Kane turned around and stormed off.

“Are you okay?” Ares focused on me again.

Axel ran out of the hall as we began walking out, well, I was more or less limping at this point.

I opened my mindlink to the entire pack and thousands of voices began pouring in, everyone saying wonderful things to me.

I felt like a true queen.

As we got inside, I knew it was time to go.
