The Tripartite Mate Bond Chapter 33: CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE
I have been the center of hatred from my father and for the most part of my life, I had lived in fear of dying. But since I got here, I had unknowingly begun to value life more and I was beginning to relax.
But to find out that someone wanted me dead left me dazed.
The doctor quickly helped me sit down and he brought the scented candle close to me so I could keep putting my finger in it.
“Doctor, what do you know about it and what can be done?” One of them asked.
I was already losing my orientation, my eyes were drawing close and I felt weak.
“Alpha, are you okay?” I heard the doctor ask as he injected me with something.
“Yes, just get her stable please.” He got his reply
“Luna, please try and stay awake, it is very necessary” he said as he tapped me awake.
I was struggling to stay awake as the poison was taking me away.
Then I remembered Bez and I got the motivation to force myself awake. If I ever got to his realm again, I doubt it'll end well.
I say up and I noticed the three of them were sitting down and their faces were contorted in pain.
“I've never seen a mate bond this strong!” The doctor exclaimed in shock.
“Focus and do something! If anything happens to her, make sure I don't survive it or you'll suffer for the rest of your life” Kane threatened.
“I'm trying. This is the third injection, it's supposed to wash out the poison. That's the tube over there and you can see the toxins leaving her body but it must have been injested in large quantities as she's still weak” he said, looking exhausted.
“I won't die like this, doc; you need to do something.” I said, writhing in pain.
I looked at him weakly and he looked exhausted.
The three nurses helping him didn't look any better. It was utter chaos
I struggled to hold on and I kept trying to force my eyes open.
As though they thought of it at the same time, my mates all rushed to my side and placed their hand on my body.
This plus the heat from the fire gave me so much relief.
“My Alphas, I have a suggestion. It's obvious proximity with her gives her some relief. Maybe you can mark her again?” the doctor suggested, looking scared now.
“Hell no! There's no way she'll be able to reject them if we mark her the second time” Kane rebutted.
Everybody turned to him in bewilderment.
How can he be focused on his jealousy right now? We could all be dead if something doesn't change.
Someone wants us dead so badly and I don't even want to think about who but right now, I had a good guess. I eyed him suspiciously and I noticed he refused to meet my eyes. They made it look like I had a choice from the beginning but it was obvious their controlling nature won't let me do anything. Now, my life was on the line and he was saying stupid things like this.
There was no way he was suggesting I die rather than allow my mates create a deeper connection with me. I know they aren't perfect and since Juno left here, I've been thinking about the idea of me being woth three of them and for the weirdest of reasons, I actually wanted it. Yes, it sounded so crazy but I've been through so much in my life so maybe the universe was rewarding me with three men who will love me in exchange for the one that almost beat me to death.
“This isn't about you, Kane. Her life depends on it. The first marking literally woke her up from a coma. Once our wolves mark her, she'll be cured and deep down, you know that. The has exhausted his options.” Ares told him.
Kane looked at me and I could see the gears turning in his head.
I was done with this crap. If he wants me to die rather than share me, well I have a surprise for him.
“I choose the three of you” I declared.
“What? Are you out of your mind? What could you possibly be thinking to want three mates?” Kane bellowed
“It doesn't matter what I want. The moon goddess created this union and she has been working over time to ensure it works out. I'm tired of resisting it. Besides, I can't believe you want me dead instead of sharing. How could you even think that way?” I spoke to him with disbelief.
He opened his mouth to say something but then he shut it. He looked defeated. This was probably not what he imagined but it was out of my hands, out of all our hands obviously.
“The only way this will work is that she lives in my pack. There's no way I'll be comfortable leaving her here for extended periods of time. I can't count how many dangers you've faced since you got here” he said and Axel lit up like a Christmas tree. He still looked sick but he was a happy, sick man.
“Whatever you want man, I'm just happy to be in her space” he replied, a small smile on his face.
“I'll edit that file I asked you to go through earlier, add these changes and the terms of the treaty. We need to hurry with this though, her eyes are losing the fight and that won't be good, right doc?” Ares finished.
“Go ahead and shift, your wolf knows where to mark her” the doctor finished.
“I need water” I demanded as their bones snapped and restructured to give way for their human forms.
A nurse quickly gave me a glass and the doctor took it and sniffed it before giving it to me. As I gulped it down, I watched them.
It was weirdly satisfying. I locked the image away in my mind and watched as the three humongous wolves approached me.
I thought I'll be terrified but I felt so calm in their presence.
The experience was surreal and strange; everything was these days.
I rubbed their furs tentatively and they... purred. The sound sent my mind into overdrive
The wolves rubbed themselves in my scent and created a connection with me before they bit me.
And the events that followed made me realize how much my life had taken a crazy turn. I will never be able to tell anybody about this, it's all too crazy
